I am…read morepretty critical about businesses that have to do with making clients feel comfortable when in a vulnerable state and I am so impressed by my first interaction with Evolve. Look, I`m in my 40s now and have some wisdom, but in my 20s, I was getting tattooed without really thinking about the artists skill or if I really, truly wanted the tattoo. Now that I`m older, I`m in phase two of my tattoo journey, which includes both covering up some pieces and now, removing some pieces either as a full removal(or as close to it) or lightening. Thus my journey with Evolve has begun. I had my consultation and first session with Mary today. I had no idea I was going to go through with a session on the spot, but after talking with Mary and feeling really comfortable and pleased with the information I received, the professionalism, and Mary's good nature and attitude, I went ahead and dove in head first. I went to talk about 3 different areas I wanted to work on and ended up staying to work on the bigger piece on my back. Go big or go home. Really, though, I should have started with a smaller piece because I`m not going to lie, laser tattoo removal is painful. Yes, your mileage may vary and it will depend on the size and area of the tattoo, but truthfully, it is no walk in the park. Mary was incredibly kind and sensitive to the pain involved with this process. They have numbing cream if you need it and with the laser, you get a nice arctic blast of air over the area. I have a lot of tattoos all over, and this was spicier than I thought. The care that Evolve places on their process and the passion they perform their work with is unmatched and you will be in the best hands during your sessions. Need to take a lot of breaks? Totally fine. Communicate and you will be met with kindness and understanding because this is not a comfortable process. I will provide an update as I go along my journey. I want to schedule my next session, for my smaller pieces, and get those going as well. Appointments are easy to schedule, you get text and email reminders, and the part that everyone wants to know about: Pricing. VERY reasonable. I did one consultation at another place a couple of years ago and said forget it because of the insane(in my opinion) cost per session for a very small piece. You won't know how many sessions you will need, of course, but they sometimes have specials or package deal that will take a bit extra off of already doable pricing. The only minor note I have is that parking can be tricky. This is not Evolve's fault. It is the nature of the area. So, may the force be with you. Get there early and you might have to do a little walking.

I saw this laser place was advertising a free first session so I booked with low expectations. I saw that it was a beautiful little shop so I thought, what could go wrong? Everything else. I made an appointment after struggling with their website to make a payment. Then, I was able to fit an appointment into my busy day. Not even 24 hours before my appointment, SEV messages me that there was an issue with my appointment and that they needed to reschedule me. None of the time slots they offered would work. I work 12 hour night shifts that end at 7am so when they proposed 1010, I made an exception and said that I would stay awake to make the appointment. No confirmation. It's extremely unprofessional to not only cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment, which is against their policy, but to also offer an appointment time right when they open and to not confirm it before closing for the day. I stayed in the downtown area after my shift for 3 hours to wait for this appointment after being given the impression that the appointment time would be saved for me but they informed me that they would not be able to accommodate me until 6pm. I was exhausted and flabbergasted. When I asked if they could do anything to make the situation better, they just told me that I should make an appointment for another day. No coupon for compensation, nothing. The place is in a very inconvenient area, located right next to petco park with no good parking and I definitely did not feel safe walking around by myself. So I will not be returning again to be met with inconsistency and subpar service. After reading the other reviews, this is not an isolated situation. It is a pattern. Do not trust a business like this with your body. Laser treatments are expensive but there is a reason why.

I booked a few days in advance with the provider Desiree on Mother's day at 9am so I could get this done early and spend the rest of the day with my mom. On the day of my appointment, my provider texted me at 5 am (4 hours before the appointment) cancelling on me and asking to reschedule. I understand people get sick and things come up, but that's when you need to find a replacement when it's that short of notice. Whether her being sick was the truth or not, cancelling on Mothers day just give the impression you didn't want to come in on the holiday. I texted back and asked if there was anyone else who could do it because I am leaving the next day and I didn't hear anything back from her. I then had to scramble and spend double the amount I was going to in order to find a place that was 1. even open on Sundays and 2. had an appointment sometime during the day. It honestly ruined my whole schedule for the day and interrupted my time spent with my mom. Under normal circumstances and I wasn't leaving for a trip the next day this wouldn't be a really big deal to reschedule. It was just incredibly frustrating. After looking over several other reviews for this place it seems like attendance and being punctual from many employees is not this place's strong suit. If somewhere is charging cancellation fees for clients for last minute cancelling, the providers shouldn't be able to do it 4 hours before the appointment, or if they can't make it, find someone who can step in. I'm very disappointed and do not plan to return to this place even though I loved having Amy work on me my first visit.

I am a Groupon girl and I've had several services from there including other microneedling and this was the worst. First, I was on my way and ensured I was 10 minutes and on my way Melissa texts me that she will be 15 MINUTES LATE. Second, there is very minimal talk and she didn't seem to want to be there, simply "having to work Saturdays and every other Sunday soon because she needs money". Third, there is INSANE road closures and noise with the windows open, there is ZERO chance of relaxing. The service was 45min, yet it took 20 min to numb me and then 5-ish minutes of microneedling itself. The needle depth was set way too high. I should be on 0.5mm it seemed higher based on feeling so much when I was numbed already. The gliding and pressure was too much and yet, I'm almost 2 weeks in and I don't see much of a difference. Lastly, she was rushing through the service I'd assume because someone was late which delayed other services. The movement of the facial, needling and moving stuff around was obvious she was stressed, rushing and not attending to clients. Unfortunately, I will never return, and I'll wait for my microneedling person instead.
