Excellent customer service, extremely fair prices, and knowledgable employees! My sister dropped her phone in water on a late afternoon while visiting me over the Christmas holiday and it ceased working. We found this place on yelp and spoke with Vince when we called, who was very helpful and said he would take a look at it. We arrived at the shop around 45 minutes prior to closing, and even though the initial process of drying out takes a while, he stayed to make sure it got done so that the phone could continue air drying overnight. When we picked up the phone the next day, it worked like a charm! I not only highly recommend this place, I plan to bring future phones to Vince if I have any issues with my own phones! read more

I wasn't going to post this review but after countless bad experiences I had to in order to save someone else my experience. My back glass shattered on my phone, front in tact but lcd slightly off. The frame of the phone was otherwise fine. I dropped it off and they told me two hours to pick up. Four hours later phone still isn't ready. Show up, still not ready. When I finally get the phone back there's a large gap in the frame on the side of my phone. I tell them about it and they say that the phone was warped and if it gets worse they'd attempt fix it but that I didn't give them enough time - reminder that I gave them 3 hours more than quoted. I also told them if the phone wasn't completely repairable I didn't want to fix it. They didn't even call me to let me know it was warped. After talking to another shop, they said the phone was likely warped by them when applying heat to remove the back glass. Ultimately, I told them I wanted my money back, which they honored if they could take off the new lcd and replace it. Sure, sounds fine. I come back and my phone is WORSE than when I brought it in. Side completely hanging open. Told the guy it wasn't like that and that I needed him to at least fix it to its normal condition. I give them a month and to my surprise, it's even worse. The Lcd almost completely blacked out, the sides still hanging open, and surprise - the new backing they put on CRACKED by the time I got home. They also replaced all my apple parts - like my battery?- without telling me. Ultimately the worst experience ever. I ended up buying a new phone entirely. read more

DO NOT GO HERE ! Spend your money and take your business elsewhere ! I went to this business to get my white 6S screen fixed. Dropped my phone off on Thursday around 12:30pm ( during my lunch hour ). I was told my phone would b fixed within a hour. I came back at 5:00pm ( after work ) and nothing was done ! Luke "the manager" told me oh sorry we have to order a part for your phone BUT you'll need to pay before we place the order . Luke " The part should b here Tuesday. " Already frustrated, I paid the amount. Even tho I was a bit upset I was goin to go a whole weekend with a broken phone. Came back Tuesday, dropped the phone off at lunch 12:30pm. Luke informed me that I was first priority and my phone would b ready in 15 mins. 20 mins later ... I picked up me phone and it has a black cover !!! My phone is white !!! Like seriously you ordered a black part for a white phone ?!! I left with the phone pissed ! I had to b back at work. I called the shop 30 mins after lookin at this color blocked mess. I couldn't take it anymore. Luke was sooooo rude. He kept placing me on hold. Telling me he informed me of the black part when I left. Blah, blah, blah. I asked for a manager he said he was the manager ! And that he'll order another part but it'll take 2 weeks. I said I'm not waiting that long. What a a**hole. I told him calmly. I'll b returning to the shop becus he not taking me serious via phone. ANYWHO, when I returned to the shop the next day they had the part in the shop ready for me. What happened to two weeks ?! Had a cracked screen on an iPhone and this was my first time to this business. Found it a little odd to be inside of a car wash area but you know what, it works. Friendly and knowledgeable advisors informed me that it would only take an hour to fix. Unbelievable, I thought because most places take a day. To my amazement they had it done. Dropped my phone off last year in March 2018, was told I'd get a quote the next day. Paid the $20 and waited a week and nobody called me. Went in myself on the third week and still no quote. Honestly I have no idea how this place stays in business working out of a modified supply closet of a car wash and a van. I had to go in personally multiple times just to try to figure out what's going on with the repair. Honestly I wouldn't even be upset if they'd just told me they can't fix the phone after the first month. They always promise to call me but that never happens. June 2018 I went in again and was told they can't find the part and they're looking for it. I finally gave up and took my phone back on January 2019. Oh ya, the new guy who worked there told me someone will call me the next day to explain what happened. It's February now and ya, that didn't happen. Look, if you didn't want to fix my phone or can't why didn't you just say so instead of waiting months and missing every single promise? Every single promised date was false, and nothing promised was delivered. Not even a phone call. Oh ya, 2019 and still no quote. I honestly don't like giving bad reviews, but this place earned it. I had a touch screen laptop that the touch screen part wasn't working on. I've been using it fine without the touch like a normal laptop, but I thought that it's about time I should get the touchscreen part fixed. I found this company on another site, checked their Yelp, and still decided to use this company even though they had no reviews. I know what it's like starting out on Yelp without any reviews so I thought I'd give them a chance. Big mistake. I brought my laptop in just last week, left it in their hands, and when I came to pick it up I noticed that the display screen was completely broken. They told me "it's your brightness." No. Brightness doesn't stop you from using the display. Yes, it was brighter, but you could see contrasting lighter and darker horizontal lines on the screen, and again now it was inoperable. I told them that they broke my screen, and I got "That's what you claim." "It was working when I brought it in." "You could use this (he points to the serial port)." I don't want a work around to use an external monitor because you broke my screen. I pressed them again saying now I cannot even use it...silence. Pressed again. More silence. I brought it in to be fixed, but now I'm out ~$125. I don't care about the money, but it's the principal. I brought it home, and opened it up. The connection cable between the motherboard and the display screen was completely abused & mangled. I don't know how they are at fixing consoles, but if they are as rough on them as they are on laptops I'd stay away, as well. On top of all that the two techs in there were too busy talking to one another about something completely unrelated instead of helping me. Yes, I had this conversation between their conversation. This place is so badass! I cracked my IPhone 7 Plus a little over a week ago. My screen protector was holding it together for the most part, but my son decided it was a good idea to lift it up and well, it was all downhill from there. Needless to say, taking photos, navigating my apps and texting were a hassle. My husband looked up places to repair it and Gadget Tech was the first place to pop up in our area. I came here to change my battery. She charged me $25 coz I have my own battery, but when I came back, she is saying that the LCD is also broken. I have no problem with my screen, and I'm just changing the battery, and now the LCD is broken? She was charging me for $54. When I told her that I would go somewhere else and just dispute their charge, they tried to lowered it to whatever my regular guy is charging me and deducted the $25 battery installation. When I got home,​ the WiFi and Bluetooth is not working this time. Brought it back and she can't figure it out. I just decided to bring it somewhere else coz I think they're either incompetent or just being dishonest. The other place I went to does not charge a diagnostic fee and knows what they are doing. I was informed that the LCD they replaced is an old after market one. Going to Gadget Tech is such a waste of money and time. I will definitely not going back to this place.​ The next day my new battery that I fully charged less than 24 hours ago is low in battery again though I did not use it much. The store is always closed even when it's supposed to be open and they never respond to email or voicemail inquiries. This is the worst customer service ever. So, I went in today to get my iPhone X repaired. For getting the cheaper screen, I should have expected what I got out of it. The screen is fine, but it already seems like it started lifting. For $100+, it shouldn't be doing that. I don't even know how much I paid, and wasn't given a receipt/30 day warranty slip either. The last time I broke my screen so bad you could barely tell it was even an iphone but now it looks brand new again! Went here because my phone screen cracked the day before we left for vacation. Mistake. They replaced my screen with a cheap plastic screen. Of course I have issues now with my screen. Over priced, cheap quality, shotty work, and not friendly. Only good thing about this place is the location. Every once in a while I crack my phone and have had to get the screen replaced, usually every 1.5 yrs or so. I would go to another repair shop I. Montclair and never had issues with the new screen. This year I decided to try gadget tech since it was closer to home. Got my phone screen replaced due to it being cracked in January and a few days later the screen popped off. (Yes, I dropped it, but no more than two feet, and onto carpet). Take it back and have to get it replaced again and pay for it again. Now here we are a couple of weeks later and my screen went out completely, blurry lines, blue screen, black dots, and then it just went out. Hadn't been dropped either. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. I've only experienced these two issues with them. Disappointed and not going back. read more

Beware! I was quoted a price for in store visit and mobile including LCD and glass.When i went into the store the guy gave me a completely different price that was more expensive. I believe they give you a low quote to get you into the store and then change the pricing and say that didn't include one thing or another. My phone wasn't working so I couldn't pull up the email quote that Luke gave me. Also, as I was waiting there were 2 other customers and it seemed all prices were different. -DO NOT GO HERE- I have had my phone serviced here three times. Strike three you guys are out, never bringing my business here again. My first visit was for them to replace a phone screen. The screens they use are junk, poor quality, poor reactivity. I had issues with the screen not tracking my movements and often times had to tap multiple times. I ended up upgraded so I never did contact them again about the issue. Second time was to retrieve information from a water damaged phone. Poor customer service this trip. I stood in the building and waited for the worker to get off his personal phone call. When he was done he was not friendly. They were unable to retrieve any information. Third trip is what has me writing this review to encourage people to take their money elsewhere. Once again took my phone in to get a screen replaced. Both times I have taken my phone in have been minor cracks. This time the phones reactivity was really not there after being replaced. Scrolling through pages and texting become annoying because it would take multiple try's to get the action I was attempting. The phone would also "freeze" the reactivity would not register anything and I would have to wait for the phone to go to sleep or power it down all together. I took it in a day later and they replaced it with a new one. Here I am 2 weeks later with the same issues. Even while writing this review I had to power my phone down just to get The reactivity of the screen to work. I'm taking my phone and doing what I should have done in the first place, and that's take it to the true professionals at Apple. These guys are a joke, there taking cheap trash and taking people hard earned money. BUY NICE OR BUY TWICE. read more
