After having come to this place for YEARS and always finding it to be speedy, honest, and reliable, it pains me to have to update and write this review after only having made my yelp to write them a good review and remark my satisfaction with this place. Within the last couple years as newer edition iphones have come out, the price of getting my iphone 6 screen went from $90, to $80, and I was happy with paying that price. After having come in a few days ago, I was told by the owner Luke the price of having my iphone fixed was going to be $90 when I left it, or $100 for a "premium screen" which I was confused about after having old invoices stating that it was $80. I remarked that I was fine with paying for a standard generic screen. My brother's girlfriend then called to ask how much it was to replace the iPhone 6 screen, to which they said it would be $70. Flustered, I called back saying that I no longer wanted my iphone 6 screen replaced but he said he already replaced it. He said they have raised the prices since the quality of the replacement screens have improved, but that doesn't make sense when plenty newer issued iphones have come out that should DROP the price of an iphone 6 screen and that I've been coming here consistently with the price staying the same or going lower. When I came in he tried to talk his way around explaining why the "prices vary depending on the severity of the screen", which was bs and didn't make sense considering that no matter how "bad" the screen is the entire screen AND LCD gets replaced regardless. It seemed that I was being discepted into paying more money than needed and I even said to him that so he "Just decides how much someone is going to pay when they come in??" to which he said again "it depends" He also said "for some reason" he'd put in the system that I was "getting a premium screen replacement" and that's why it had been $90 even though that is NOT what he pitched to when I came in. He honored the $70 price but said in the future I have to bring in my OLD invoice if I want them to honor the $80 price. Completely ridiculous. Completely unsatisfied. Never coming back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. NO thank-you. read more

I have used gadget tech multiple times for screen repair and have always been really satisfied with the repairs. A few days ago I called in and asked the price for an iPhone X battery replacement, & was provided a price by Danielle. My mother made a 45 min drive to have her battery replaced and her phone looked at as she was having issues with it. She went in and told Danielle that her phone was heating up and the charge would not last. Danielle was working on something and told her sorry we don't fix that, and sent her on her way. She did not ask what type of phone it was she did not even get up from her chair and did not even try to help. My mom called me and told me that Danielle did not help at all. I called to ask if they help with battery repairs or change them and Danielle said yes sure bring it in. I then asked her why she did not help my mother with her phone. She said she knows it was a motherboard issue and they don't help with that. I asked her how she knew it was a motherboard issue if she did not even look at it. She said it was a common thing with iPhone X But the thing is that she not once looked at my mothers phone she never knew if it was an iPhone! I asked her why she didn't take a look at it all and she said because she was trying to save my mom $25 from diagnostic fees. I asked her why she did not even offer that as an option then let my mother decide if she wants to pay that she just said she just wanted to save my mother the money. Since she said it was heating up she was pretty sure it was the motherboard, and they don't fix that there. Again not once had she seen the phone my mom had. She just turned her away. My mother felt embarrassed because her English isn't fluent. She was just automatically turned away, without any options offered. I understand if there is diagnostic fees I understand if there is things that can't be fixed what I don't understand is how you can say something can not be fixed without even knowing what type of phone it is. Danielle had no idea that I had called to ask about the battery repairs and no clue what phone my mom had, all Danielle knew is that my mother had a phone that was over heating and dying fast but she told her it couldn't be fixed with no explanation why. read more

I had an iPad mini battery replaced . I called in on a Friday to see if they had the battery in stock and they told me they did and that they could get it done same day. I dropped it off and didn't get a call until Sunday evening to let me know that the battery had finally been replaced. I took it to this location because I thought it would be a faster turnaround but apparently they're very busy. I paid about $65 for it. This was my very first time using them so I would say it wasn't the greatest experience. However I would go back to give them another try just because they are close to my office. read more

Took our iPad mini in there with a cracked screen. Got it back the next day. We gave to our kid for a Christmas gift and the Touch ID was not working. After 3 days of them having it again, about 6 phone calls that we made to them and promises of them going to call us back....we had to drive over there to find out the status. Not only were they rude as can be, they told us they weren't able to fix it but we should be ok with it because everything else on the iPad works. We told them we brought it in all working and they said we don't know that. My husband then proceeds to tell him we want our device back and a refund. Luke, the CEO, told us it would take an hour or so for them to fix it. So my husband says, ok we will wait....Luke said you can't wait here, it's a fire hazard?!?! A fire hazard to stand inside your store? This place is a joke! They ended up taking our iPad apart and gave it back to us in pieces, gave us a refund for the screen but charged us for the corner they bent back. No remorse, no customer service, and this was dealing with the owner! Horrible in all aspects! *******Took our device to 2 separate places and they confirmed that the Touch ID ribbon had been cut! Horrible experience. Was emailed and told prices, and how much time it would take. In fact, I was told it would be done in 15 mins. Got there, got told that it would be double (quoted 29 for ipad battery and 25 for iwatch screen replacement) Ended up being told that my items could be fixed in a few days. More than a week later they claimed they tried to get ahold of me (no missed calls) and said that my son's ipad screen was broken too and needed to be replaced at the time of the battery replacement. 160 dollars later, and 9 days.......I got my items back. I've never written a review on yelp but I've had such a shady experience that I'm warning others. Don't come here to get your phone fixed when there are better options around. I brought a screen replacement in and couldn't get it installed so I decided to just have them install one of theirs. I also had the original cracked iPhone 6 screen. When I went to pick up my phone I asked for my screen replacement back so I could return it. He wouldn't give it to me and said he needed it for inventory. I told him I could give him the cracked screen and he just kept saying he needed the replacement screen for "inventory." I'm sure that if I open up my phone the screen he put on will be the replacement screen I brought in, while he still charged me for another screen. I didn't care enough to wait longer and argue as I had to get to work but just hadn't had an egregiously terrible customer service at a merchant in a while. read more

It says a lot for a repair shop to be open in ungodly hours on a SUNDAY morning. I chose to pay Gadget Tech a visit for my cracked glass+lcd on my iPhone 6. They're tucked in an automotive plaza/car wash, but the cover does not make the book. Luke greeted me very friendly and got my phone done within 15-20 minutes. (This was probably because it was a Sunday morning, I'm sure this business gets busy on other days+times which will obviously result in a longer turnaround time.) Gadget Tech is run with the true American motto of using proper business ethics and literally "just doing the right thing". I chatted up Luke for a few minutes and knew that this business is based on good character and high respect for its customers. Not sure why some other reviews are one-stars, seeing that this business is far from performing that low. The pricing was right, they provide OEM options which I love, and the service was fast and friendly. If you like freedom, this business reflects it. Five stars. Cannot understand all the great reviews. Poor customer service. Took my iphone in on a Thursday afternoon for broken mother board IPU system. They tell me two days max to fix. Fine. Two days go by. No call no email. Three days go by so i call. "Oh we will check on it" no call back no email. I call back. " our tech guy is super busy" we will update you later. Four days then five...no email no call nothing. Five days nothing. Now I am annoyed. Sixth day I get an email that my phone is complete come pick it up. Hmm a week later they never bothered calling me or updating me by the way. When I arrive sales person barely looks up and then he finds my phone and i noticed that my screen is cracked and weird how they fixed everything else why not fix the small crack? The guy says oh it only takes 15 min. Okay well then perfect do it, i will wait outside just come get me when its done, i will be just out by the door. No problem i will he says...I will. 45 min goes by i wait and wait, When I finally go back inside this guy has a blank dumb look on his face, he says to me, can I help you with anything?" Really? Uh my phone you said would be ready in 15???? I was so embarrassed for HIM. Seriously ???? Oh yeah he responds... oh yeah!! Either he was super busy.. not really. Or he does not need or care about customer service. I wonder which one it is? I just wanted to pay and get out of that place before I lost it. I work in retail I have to care about customer service. Been holding off on writing this review, but I figured enough time has passed for me to post it. I initially came here first for an apple watch screen repair, was completely satisfied with the repair and thought I'd found a repair place for my apple products. With a good first experience, I figured it would be fine to take my mothers ipod here to get it checked out. (The charge was not holding and I believe there was another issue, can't remember what) Anyways, I take it here, they suggest it might be the charging port, they fix it for about 25$ or something like that. I take it home, figuring it was good to go, and there are still issues with the ipod, I take it back and they think it might be the battery now, ok fine, I leave it and they said they would call back later in the day with an update. Well, later comes and no call, I figured they must of got busy so I call and they seemed to have forgotten I even left my ipod there. I brush it off and they finally let me me know that they need to order the battery and it should be ready within the next day or so. Fine, A couple days pass and yet again, I have to call them. They said it should be done later in the day and to come by before closing to get it. I'm thinking "ok great!". I come by with ample amount of time before closing and ask about my ipod, well the worker at the time seemed to not really care to be bothered and claimed he was really busy and I need to wait a little bit for them to finish. So I'm pretty irritated by now, but again, I give them the benefit of the doubt and oblige and wait. I wait almost 45 min and check back in and he is not even done!! Ok, now I'm pissed. I just politely say I will call and return tomorrow. So next day comes and I call asking about the ipod. Worker answers the phone and puts me on hold, wait about 10 min and finally they return. Apparently now it wasn't the battery and they think it might be an internal problem and they need to send it out for diagnostics. Oh boy am I upset now, I simply say "no thank you, I will just come pick up my ipod and be on my way". So I come in to get my ipod, mind you they didn't even bother to close it back up, and give me my dismantled ipod back. I can proudly say, I have never been back and never plan to be.
