Highly recommend the shrimp paste, which seems counter intuitive, but was one of the more delicious items. We came to this place with our friends, 10 in total. Every one enjoyed the food. The service was very attentive. Food was fresh. Sliced lamb was a hit. Many choices. I went for their opening week twice when they had 50% off. The normal price/person is pretty standard for an AYCE (all you can eat) restaurant. For those of y'all who aren't familiar with hotpot, you pick your soup base and you add whatever raw protein/veggies/noodles/etc you want (then wait a few min as it cooks), as much as you want. You can refill your soup base when it gets low. Hotpot is a favorite family/friend/large gathering tradition and those who haven't tried it are missing out. This restaurant has built-in personal pots in the table so you can have your own hotpot and control the temperature yourself. There's a conveyer belt and a menu with everything listed. First time going was one of the first days, not super crowded (I think not many people knew about it), they were well stocked with all the dishes you can add. Waitstaff was very polite. 10/10 experience. Second time they were much busier and they ran out of some options, which is understandable given they had so many customers and it was their opening weekend. But they also forgot that they took our orders (they later explained their machine that took orders to give to kitchen froze) so we waited forever until it was figured out. Since it was so crowded it was hard to flag down waitstaff (also understandable given how crowded it was). But I definitely recommend going during off-peak hours. The conveyor belt most had things people didn't really want like lettuce but you can just ask the waitstaff for what you want and they will bring it to you. There is an area in corner where you can get and mix your own sauces/seasonings/etc. On your way out they had this pepe candy thing which was both really good for free restaurant candy and funny with all the pepe memes, lol. Only requirements were that you had to bring your ID, the coupon and your birthday had to have been within 3 days of the visit. Score! Jeremy's birthday was Thursday. We had been wanting to try this place, but at $26 per person for dinner, this seemed a bit much to spend on a concept we weren't convinced we would like. When we got there, we showed our server the coupon. She came back a few minutes later and said that we needed to have 3 people in our party for them to honor it. Hot pot is one of my favorite cuisines, and New Generation does it just great. Each person has their own small hot pot which helps with groups with mixed food preferences (meat/no meat, spicy/no spicy, etc.). I opted for the mushroom broth, and then an assortment of meats, vegetables, and noodles, but my absolute favorite being the brisket. It's really important to make sure you have a great dipping sauce. In the front they have a station to create your own sauces with some recipes in case you don't know any. This was a family event so everyone came out it was about 8-10 of us this place is great for groups we were seated at 2 tables on either side of the conveyor belt so that we could all see each other. So excited that Hotpot has come to Towson! Went on Saturday night, the place was bustling. Biggest difference about this place is that all the meats are ordered off the menu only. Some places have all the protein options laid out "buffet style" but you have to order off menu here. This means you have less control over how much/how little you get of each meat. They gave us 1 massive plate each for the 2 meats we were planning on starting out with. There was so much of those 2 meats tho, that we didnt really have a chance to try other meat becuz we didnt wanna waste any of what they had already given us. New Generation offers a variety of different types of broth, with each customer getting their own personal broth. I tried the bone broth and spicy broth, and can sadly say that the bone broth came out as relatively bland. I have no complaints on the spicy broth. Next comes the selection of meats and veggies. Options are plentiful from a variety of mushrooms, seafood, beef, chicken, pork, noodles, tofu, and more. Servers come regularly to take your orders and as long as your plates are empty, you can feel free to order as much as you want. Each table is also adjacent to a cute conveyor belt that delivers a variety of hot pot treats in smaller portions. These are perfect for the impulsive customers who want to try something that's coming down the track. This little belt is the big highlight of New Generation and I would love even more items to appear on the track! To go with your hotpot is a dipping sauce bar. After placing your first order, you are encouraged to create your own sauces for the food to come. I suggest making something sweet for chicken and seafood, and something more savory for beef and pork. You should experiment and mix and match flavors to your liking. New Generation is an all you can eat establishment, so be wary of the higher than normal price. On the plus side, there is no time limit on your stay, so feel free to take your time and enjoy as much of the tasty food as you can. New Generation also offers "all you can eat dessert" as part of their meal, but this was a big let down as it consisted of some watered down rice pudding and bland tasting ice cream. Sure, it's free, but it detracts from the rest of the flavorful dishes. If New Generation wants to earn a fifth star from me, it needs to get more flavorful broths and either remove the desserts from their "all you can eat" menu or add in some more worthwhile desserts like mochi or shaved ice with toppings. I've been going to the hot pot in ellicot city, but came here because I was in the area..... and let me tell you -- THIS IS AWESOME! not only is it a great deal for all you can eat, but there is also a "kaitenzushi" style rotating platform that brings ingredients for your hot pot that you can just pick up and put in your hot pot. So good! We tried their pork bone broth (non spicy for the kid) and their spicy broth. Added lamb cuts, pork belly, fatty beef, shrimp. They were incredibly generous with their meat! You can order from the menu their meat to eat but the ones marked MP (market price) are extra to the AYCE price. Then the rotating conveyor belt had all the noodles and veggies you could want. We tried their ramen, udon, vermicelli noodles and two different kinds of mushrooms. We definitely ordered too much. Their food was fresh and the broth was delicious. The spicy broth had those peppercorns that make your tongue go numb. So delicious. They also had a bunch of different dipping sauces near the front that I didn't know about. Service was ok. They were nice but not soo informative about where things were. We didn't see the dessert and sauces until we left but grabbed a few ice cream sandwiches on the way out. I'm a hot pot fanatic. I was happy to hear about a place opening up in Towson so I didn't have to travel all the way to Ellicott City for my hot pot cravings. I went twice during the soft opening. The price is comparable to other places as well as the selection of ingredients. First of all, the spicy soup is actually spicy and very flavorful. I would put the soup over Hot N Roll, but under Hot Pot Hero. The ingredients are pretty much standard. However, they don't let you request vegetables unlike the other restaurants I just mentioned. Some waiters insist that you get it from the revolving carousel. The problem here is some tables do not have access to the carousel (bad layout) so you have to get up and stand awkwardly by another table as you look for ingredients and snatch them in front of other guests. Be prepared to wait for some ingredients as they put them out sparingly (enoki mushrooms, fried tofu). They have a sauce bar which is good. Bowls and utensils are self-serve which is a first for me. The service can be hit or miss. My first waitress was great, consistently refilling my drink. During my second visit, not one refill from my waiter. Also, they didn't have any spoons. I was told they ran out. For a soup place? Not one customer had a spoon. Did they disappear from my first visit? I had to run to Brown Rice next door to grab some plastic spoons. This place will fill your hot pot cravings. In terms of food, during weekdays they said that everything is ordered from the table (including veggies, etc which used to be on the revolving sushi train thing) which made me feel a little better to eat there during COVID. There were many tables: some were attached to a rotating bar that had ingredients, and others were against the wall. I have been here three times now since July and had a good experience each time. If this is yiur first time, I recommend coming at lunch time for the cheaper price (17.99 vs 25.99). Broth: I love the tomato broth. The tom yum broth is not traditional but tasty. The Sichuan broth is excellent ma la flavor, u can ask them to adjust the spicy ness for you The tender beef and lamb are the best meat options. Traditionally crab is added in the broth for flavor so they don't have much meat on them. Make sure to try the wide variety of veggie options! Frozen tofu, quail egg, Chinese spinach, clear glass noodle, dried tofu skin, etc. the house made dumplings are actually super delish and worth a try. The sauce bar can seem overwhelming but for a simple classic recipe, get sesame sauce with some pickled chives and a splash of the house sauce. Grab another bowl for a spicier mix - house sauce, minced garlic, chili oil , cilantro. You can't go wrong no matter what combination you pick. Staff is friendly and overall pretty clean. Been here a few times now, all at different times of day, and it's been excellent every time! The service is good, the ingredients on the conveyor belt are fresh (if not a little adventurous at times) and the broths themselves are delicious. I've never had an issue with the waitstaff or with times, everyone has been very accommodating. My only real reservations come with some of the selection - not all of the ingredients are on the conveyor at times (which is usually resolved by asking for them!) and the scallion bucket is usually a little low. I highly recommend both the spicy broth (which is actually spicy) and the pork bone. The pork bone is the plain stuff, but if you head over to the sauces bar, you can flavour it yourself and that's the best part! The lamb and fatty beef are also excellent choices. The food here, while good, isn't anything more than what you'd typically expect from a place like this. Their options of meat and seafood, tofu, and veggies and noodles are about the same as any other place, with the quality being one that you'd expect (not the greatest but you can't complain because it's unlimited). One plus that they do have is the rotating conveyor belt means that you can grab some things without having to go through the hassle of ordering more with the server. That way you can top off your meal with veggies, tofu, and some seafood easily and quickly. The only downside to this is that what's on the belt can vary, and your seating placement matters a lot because depending on where you sit you might never see some items because everyone ahead of you will pick it up. Between what my friends and I got, we tried the spicy soup and the bone broth and both were okay. It wasn't great or packed with a lot of flavor, and by the end of the meal with all the broth added throughout the meal the spicy soup just wasn't spicy anymore. I wish their broths were better because that's a thing that a lot of places don't do well and an easy way to stand out. As for service the moment we got there we were served really quickly. Every time we ordered something we got it super quick. It was really good, dare I say, maybe the best service I've had at an all you can eat hot pot place? The joy of hot pot has finally arrived in Baltimore and New Generation brings the food and fun in a big way! We hit them up for lunch before a movie at our beloved Cinemark Towson. We arrived at noon as they were opening and were seated immediately next to the conveyor belt. A friendly server explained the experience and we put in our broth and initial food orders. Then it was off to the sauce bar to create our personal condiment. I went for the Tom Yum broth and daughter went pork bone and wife opted for the mushroom. The broths were rich and flavorful and as the came to a boil the fun began. Beef, lamb, dumplings, clams, shrimp, fish balls, tofu and shrimp paste (our favorite). We also had a few different types of mushrooms, spinach, Napa cabbage, kabocha squash (takes a long time, but super yummy) and sponge tofu. We liked the conveyor belt aspect because it provided a continuous choice of small portioned, interesting options to add to the ordered items. Visited Next Gen for the first time recently! We went hungry in order to get the best out of the All You Can Eat menu, and it was worth the wait for the amount of food! Lots of options for meats, seafood, and veggies/noodles/tofu, and each order comes in a small size so you can try tons of different things. I personally was a big fan of the lamb meat (got like 3 orders of it) and the crab meatballs. There were several broth options (We had the mushroom and the spicy broths, the mushroom was a little bland but spicy was great), the sauce bar allows you to customize your flavors even more, and there are also lots of fruits and ice cream that you can get that come with the AYCE menu. I do wish there was an option to have the seafood that you order come cleaned/deshelled/ready to eat since I wasn't expecting to have to peel my shrimp or prepare squid (it had an eye on it?) before eating it. Although their meats were clearly high quality and fresh, I think some of their vegetables looked a little wilted. I think the main issue with this location is just the price--it's $31 with the all-you-can-eat menu for dinner with an automatic 18% tip, although there aren't a lot of services involved (there's a revolving conveyor belt where you can grab stuff for yourself, the sauce bar is self serve, ice cream and fruit is self serve, etc.). Also, although it is advertised as all-you-can-eat, you still have to pay extra for drinks, and some meat/seafood/broth options cost extra, which I don't think is what all you can eat is for. "Blackpink in your area" Seriously whoever is manning the music here played Blackpink and Brittany Spears throughout my entire all you can eat hotpot lunch. Not that I'm complaining. When I saw that Towson had a Hotpot restsursnt I became so excited. Hotpot everything! New Generation is tucked on York Road and is easy to miss so be on the look out. Its on the same side of the street as the CVS. New Generation is a mixture of a few different hotpot optiond. Through out the middle of the restahrant they have a conveyor belt that has hot pot add in options. You can request whatever you want from the menu from your waiter and the waiter will bring out more as soon your table even kind of looks empty. They have a sauce and season bar. I swear the sauces are saltier then I'm used to but I'm not clear on the brands they used. They also have desserts fruit cake pudding etc. At the sauce bar. They have a ton of options available for bowls, spoons, tongs, etc. in case you need extras. I like the abundance of options ay New Generation. They have more soup base options then normal. Some places may have 3 or 4 soup base options but they had about 6 soup options one of which was Tom Yum. They also have more drink options then usual, like the chrysanthemum tea. All my favorite vegetable options including the seaweed knots and pumpkin are present and they halve lots of proteins, including duck feet and lamb. The servers were nice and efficient. Overall New Generation is great. What a welcome addition to Towson and I can't wait to drop by on my next visit. I'm even starting to like Blackpink. Who knew. read more

Exciting new addition to the Towson food scene which has been lacking Asian food options for over 20+ years. The quality of the meats and variety of hot pot staples was impressive and one of the best AYCE hot pot establishments in the Baltimore area. The customer service is always worth noting, our waiter was helpful, kind and funny and stopped in to check often to make sure broth and orders were well maintained. Definitely recommend for those who enjoy hot pot and live in the Baltimore area! Note - they also validate Towson library and Cinemark garages, but not the adjacent Towson Commons parking. read more
