I barely ever leave reviews, but this needs to be said. I have been going to this business for a few years now, but I will NO longer go back to these fake and rude "masseuses". Not sure what these people expect, I think for a foot massage that costs $25 dollars $8 dollars is very fair. Last time I got a full body maSsagE and I gave the lady $13 dollars and she looked mad and no buy or thank you, this time another lady with a similar attitude. The lady who was very rough after me asking not to touch my left knee was supposed to do 30 minute foot massage did max 15 had the nerve to say you have to give 20% tip. I called in for a walk in appointment and they said they would be able to do a full body on chair rather then a room. I went in and the massage was very decent, the masseuse was pretty rough but over all felt good. What I didn't like is how noisy it was! Disappointing. It's a shame that their quality and customer service have both gone down since the last time I was here. My first visit was about a year ago and I had a fairly good experience then. Today, however, I was met with a very unenthusiastic masseuse who barely went through the motions. I had paid for a full body massage but instead received a lot of elbowing with no real technique or thought. To make things worse, she had an earpiece in one ear and listened to music the entire massage. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for a proper massage. read more

You need to understand that you're not going to Burke Williams or some other fancy place. This is a basic reflexology massage. Many will choose the foot massage in the chairs, but you also have the option of going in the room and getting a full massage. No funny stuff. You should also leave at least a $10 tip, even though the massage price is cheap, you should leave more than 20%. These people are working hard for you, and they should be tipped appropriately. read more

This place lost my business forever. Ive been coming here for 2 years and never had issues. I called and asked when i can come and they told me 4pm is fine. I get there and was told "we cant take you right now were busy and no beds available, come back in 20 min." I said sure and walked right out and went to number one smile massage on honolulu. The owner Anna and her staff are fantastic! The studio is clean and pretty. The massages are great and very affordable. My husband and I have been going for a while now. We get the combination and ask for an extra 15 minutes for our backs. Grand total $90.00 for both of us for 75 minutes each and it is both foot and body. Unlike other foot massages I have had, they also use an exfoliating scrub (with a wonderful smell) on our feet at the end of the foot massage. I always feel very pampered. One of the times I went in I had a bad bruise on my arm. I had asked the therapist to please avoid massaging that area. The therapist, Linda, was truly kind and wonderful. She took the time to add heat, a special ointment I had not received before that I assume was for healing the bruise, as well as a wrap for the arm. She really was very sweet. The level of service at New Glendale is very high. I fully recommend them. Both my husband and I love this place. I feel completely loyal to them at this point. read more

The prices here are very reasonable compared to other massage places nearby. However I will not be going back after having gone here about 10 times over the past several years that it has been open. During my last visit there were children coming in and out the door, and there was a lot of chitchat amongst the workers, which made it not very relaxing. The worst part was when I went to pay I gave a 15% tip, and the woman started talking really loudly in her native language. I discerned that she didn't think the tip was big enough, so I gave her a couple dollars more. Somebody needs to tell the workers that tips aren't obligatory, but rather something that is optional depending upon the service that is rendered. read more

I love this place and they give a good massage and have been going for years. But unfortunately they are doing odd things now when they charge you. One time they wouldn't take my coupon - I couldn't understand why and more recently a thing that was very disturbing. I gave them my payment and a 20% tip and the person said I had to give a 50% tip...that's not right. You don't tell a customer how much to tip! For $35 I got a foot massage/scrub (30 mins) and a body massage for 30 mins (clothes remain on). They first washed my feet in an upright chair which was extremely comfortable. When they finished the foot massage, the chair reclined into a bed with an opening for you to place your face while they massaged my back. They did a fantastic job! Worked out all the kinks and tension in my shoulders. Seriously, can't get any better for $35! I will definitely be coming back! read more

My first two visits were good. I got a massage from the lady with the mullet. $45 massage + $7 tips. The third time I went, I got my massage from a very heavy set woman. At checkout, she said there was an $1 fee for using my credit card and a minimum $10 tip for the body massage. This heavy woman did not disclose to me there would be a $1 fee prior to my massage. And a minimum $10 tip is crap. Not coming here again because of deceptive services. read more

I don't know what happened to this place- I used to love coming here and have come here often -But after my recent experience - if they are going to charge $45 for a private room I will take my business elsewhere - it was nothing short of good or relaxing- therapist answered phone call after phone call in her earpiece and left the room several times leaving me bare-assed on table with door ajar- none of that figured into my "hour" --really? if it was a $25 public room massage , maybe acceptable -but do not pay above that for the facade of any privacy or serenity in a private room - very unprofessional - never again will I come here! read more

Purchased gift certificates for foot massages for my daughter and her fiance, made appointment for the two of them, plus myself, for the day after Thanksgiving. Prices were quite good and facility clean. Also purchased gift certificate for body massage for my son. When we arrived for foot massage, we were informed that we weren't on the schedule - there must have been a mistake. We were told to come back in a couple of hours. I live nearby, so we went home, where a message was waiting - we should come back, there'd been an error - they were waiting for us. Returned, had enjoyable massage. No apology was offered for their scheduling error and the inconvenience of our going back and forth for the appointment. I was surprised that the massage room was fairly quiet, particularly since it's not far removed from the parking lot just outside. As we left, I tipped about 20% and was informed that that amount was inadequate. Having given the other 2 massages as gifts, I did not want to quibble about the tip at that time, so left additional amount for tips. When my son went for his body massage a few days ago, the therapist seemed to not know what sort to do, so she did a bit of many styles, some of which were not so comfortable nor relaxing. My son gave a tip of about 17%, which he was informed was inadequate - the therapist wanted at least 20%. He also left additional tip as a result. I don't believe that a tip is mandatory at any time and I certainly don't think that demanding an increased tip is acceptable practice. You shouldn't leave from a massage with a feeling of aggravation, yet we all did. We won't be going back - there are too many other affordable massage spots in the neighborhood and I'm hoping that the staff will be more gracious elsewhere. read more
