I wanted to check out this place for a long time and I thought it was great. The bartender was awesome and able to give me information about the place since it was my first time. Prices were fair with what everyone was charging in the area. The dance floor is small but everyone in the place was still having a good time regardless and I was dancing as well. The DJ was great and paid great music. I was there on a Julian Jumping Perez day with DJ Q. I didn't order food, but the food is connected to the restaurant in the same area which based on reviews looked great even though I never tried the food. Also, just from the looks out the banquet hall seems large enough to which is also connected which is convenient if you wanted to host like a wedding. read more

Having never been bere, I planned my husband's birthday party at VLounge on a Saturday when Julian Jumpin Perez was DJ'ing for "Old School Saturday". I called and spoke to with Frank and he was kind enough to reluctantly reserve a couple tables for us, only if I promised to have at least 20 people. He informed me he would charge me if I didn't show with 20 people, which I understood because after all, he could have reserved those tables for other parties and he already had a large party booked for the bar. I started to get nervous about a week before after reading many negative reviews about the place, including reviews stating people were discriminated against, forced to leave, had horrible service from their waitress, etc. I couldn't be happier with the way the night turned out and the way in which we were treated. When we arrived, there was a coat check available and the lobby was beautiful! I was very impressed with the ambience and decor. Our group included many people from diverse backgrounds including black, white, Asian, etc. I didn't feel discriminated against at all and our waitress, although extremely busy, was always checking on us and took care of our needs. She recommended some amazing drinks and despite what other reviews stated, was happy to keep separate tabs for people in our group. One of the men working that night bought my husband a drink for his birthday and at one point the DJ announced everyone's birthdays and the staff brought out a large piece of cake for each of the people there who were celebrating their birthday. I expected an older crowd since I read that VLounge attracted older people but that's what we were looking for since we are not as young as we used to be and would stick out like a sore thumb at any club, yet still wanted a sort of club experience. The crowd was a bit older than I even expected but everyone was nice and there to have a good time. We didn't experience anyone being rude and the dance floor was poppin'! I was pleasantly surprised! I have nothing but good things to say. The drinks were priced reasonably with a good amount of alcohol in them. The calamari was absolutely amazing! The ranch dressing, which one reviewer stated was disgusting, was one of the best I've had. I was happy they actually had ranch dressing because most Italian places do not have ranch. You can tell it's homemade, too and it was the perfect dipping sauce for their calamari. The calamari came out nice and hot and crispy and there were no ro rubbery pieces or weird looking pieces (like usual) that nobody wants to eat and are just left on the plate as waste. The place was PACKED, so of course our server was not able to keep up with the empty glasses and plates on our table but that did not impact our night in any way. I read one negative review stating that the empties were not removed from the table fast enough. I think sometimes people just look for something to complain about because it was completely understandable, considering the amount of people our waitress was serving and how hard it was to move around in the room. The bathrooms were clean but at one point in the night, there was a girl in the stall next to mine throwing up and it was all over the floor, including splashing all the way over into my stall and onto my shoes. It was pretty disgusting but when I exited the stall, I was happy to see staff in the restroom trying to take care of the situation. I believe many of the negative reviews I previously read were unfortunately from people who wanted to come for the free entertainment and were too cheap to spend any money on drinks or food or were not dressed appropriately. Furthermore, any reviewer claiming discrimination...it is my opinion that the reviewer must have been rude or had to have done something to warrant a negative response from the employee. I do not feel any if the employees were discrimanatory. Either that or it was an isolated situation and thankfully, we didn't have that experience! I do wish the staff had nametags so I could have known my server's name or I could have met Frank, considering I was speaking to him on and off the few weeks prior to our event. It also would've been nice to know the gentleman's name who was working the room when we were there and interacting with our group, since he was extremely cordial and professional. All of our guests told us what a fun time they had and what a nice place VLounge was. We don't get out much these days due to our children being young but I do hope we get a chance to go back! I went to this club and was told that it was at capacity. First, they don't do a head count and secondly, I could visually see there was plenty of space. This leads me to believe that this was racially motivated to not let me in. I am African-America. It was also obvious that other people was being let. This happened around 11pm on 3/18/23. I went to VLounge with my parents in law and my step daughter and a 4 year old and a 2 month old. I have to tell you the service was top notch, we changed tables and then changed seats. It made the server Louie really work and he was excellent. The food was amazing, to say the least. I had the eggplant parm and wow!! was it awesome. Then for a added bonus we were there on a live music night so we really enjoyed Zsharp the lost cord, they played classic rick which is my fav....Mustang Sally and Journey captured us and we stayed late dancing and enjoying the band. Let me start by saying I didn't even know this place existed but I'm so glad I found it. I celebrated my 35th birthday here March 30th and it was so much fun. Frank took care of me. I did the 3 hour package and it exceeded my expectations. We got three cocktail tables, three different appetizers and let me tell you these appetizers were amazing. They came out on huge serving platters and could be replenished at any time. Our waitress, Melissa, was phenomenal. She was always refilling our drinks and clearing out the empty ones. I had about 25 people in my party and everyone is still talking about the experience a week later. They also give you a birthday cake slice with a huge sparkler on it. I felt so important. Been here before, some bartenders are very friendly but the older lady behind the bar just gives you mean looks and ignores you when she sees you ordering a drink, the tall bald bouncer was flirting and always looking at my girl, saw him pass by and grab my girls hand. Was entertaining out of town guests and decided to stop in somewhere closer to home, rather than the spots in the city. Hours later we were in love with VLounge. The DJ was awesome, service was speedy despite it being crowded. The service and attention we got that night will definitely have me going back. This is a horrible place to go - I met a friend after work - both dressed respectfully - came in the older woman bartender watched us walk in and then ignored us. The place was virtually empty except for an older man and younger woman who was wearing her sunglasses inside - that's always a little suspicious.... They were waited on - finally the bartender came over and took our order A no smile - just the look of aggravation like we were interrupting her - later another bartender shows up - still not friendly - makes our drinks walks away - meanwhile more people come in they are all served drinks offered menus - our takeaway was they must only welcome people they know - regulars - if you come in for a drink - you will not be welcomed with open arms or the feeling they want to offer you hospitality - place creeped me out - maybe it's a private club but we weren't informed - looking back I should have left no tip to show the appreciation for the lousy atmosphere and service we received. Our server I can't remember her name was so nice and accommodating she was always around to get us whatever we needed!! We reserved a table for 10 and wanted to use the Platinum package. The website said 10 minimum for the package. We also asked when we called to make the reservation. When we got there we told the server that we wanted the package she said we had to have 15. She hen brought the manager over. He would not honor the phone call or the website. He told us that the website has not been updated. Um why is that my problem? He finally said that he would let us have 12.... The rest of the night was Fantastic. Tiffany was our server. If you go there request her. Nice attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delicious. We ended up having an awesome time even though it started out a little rough~!!!!! read more

Hosted a party here last night and everyone had a great time! Our server Ashley M was AMAZING! We had a large group and it was a busy night but she was so attentive! She took care of all of the guests and checked in with me frequently. She did a great job suggesting what appetizers we should order and got them out to our group quickly. She reminded me that we had brought a cake and even had the band make a birthday announcement for our guest of honor. I don't think the evening would have been as successful without her! read more

If you want the best Italian food in the suburbs go to Venutis. Try the spicy calamari and the Porto Bella bruscetta. The homemade pasta is the best around. I attended VLounge Friday night with a group of friends, and was treated like absolute crap by the bartender. Two of our friends were already seated at the bar with food and drinks when we arrived, and when we went to join them, the bartender immediately asked us in a very unfriendly manner what we wanted to drink (did not present a menu, greet us, nothing). My husband asked for a water and was told he cannot have it because of the two drink minimum, he would have to order bottled water. Fine, he ordered a cranberry juice (as he was DRIVING and is not a drinker anyway) and I ordered a bottle of water. We were then given attitude, apparently because we did not order alcohol. I was told "Oh, so you guys go places and you drink water?". Um, yes! For health reasons, safety (when driving) and personal preference! She then told a customer who was sitting near us "People think they can come and sit here and drink water all night." Excuse me? We had been there less than 5 minutes at that time and had not even been offered a menu! We had planned to order food and eventually coffee, but she would never know that because she was too busy giving us attitude that we did not order alcohol. Let me repeat: we are fine with and understand a 2-drink minimum but you cannot force people to drink alcohol if they don't want to! Don't tell us we can order bottled water if you are then going to give an attitude over it. Absolutely terrible service, and my friends who showed up after were also very unimpressed with the attitude. I would rather pay a cover charge to get in, than be given attitude over what I choose to order. Oh, and I am a very generous tipper when I am treated well, probably more so than the drunk folks sitting nearby - this person missed out on that! read more
