I like this place. Good food and fair prices. They don't have a dining area but in my opinion they don't really need it.

I was iffy on this meal but let me tell you they do not disappoint! Shrimp everything!

    Szechuan chicken (spicy)

Never disappoints, very tasty, fresh every time and portions are great. My go to is the Szechuan chicken

Most recent menu as of April 2nd 2020 showing lunch specials only.

For Chinese places near me for carryout it's the best place I've been to. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge for the combination plates. Orange chicken is piled high the Mongolian beef and pepper steak are the best top three dishes in my opinion.

1st Chop Suey. Large parking lot but watch for the giant pot holes!

At 1st Chop Suey I've never had them get an order wrong. In 20 years this has been the place we use at least a couple times a month. They also now take credit cards (for a $.30 service fee). They don't have a huge selection menu like some newer places but everything they do here is spot on. Even the lunch specials are great and a good value. We love their egg foo young quite a bit. Usually we get ham but the shrimp or combo is good too. Cooked fast and not burnt with lots of gravy makes it a winner. The pan fried noodles are excellent and always made to order, not left limp and soggy in a bin. And the egg drop soup is one of my favorites. There are a couple things I don't care for here like Crab Rangoon (too oily) or Orange Chicken (thick gelatinous sauce with heavy dark spicy peppers) but there are so many good offerings who can pass it up? The family that runs the place is great and even though a terrible traffic accident on I55 a few years ago hit the family hard by losing a few family members on their way home from work, they continued smiling and serving up their huge portions. I may occasionally visit other local sit-down table service Asian restaurants but this is my take out choice by far.

    #2 Pepper steak. Delicious!
This #2 lunch option came w/shrimp fried rice & an egg roll. (The sweet and sour chicken was a separate order)

Always fast. Always good. Hate that yelp requires 85 characters. I think I said it all.

Great food! Always hot, seemingly fresh. Kinda expensive, but worth it. Service is okay. They can be a bit rude and rush you.

We ordered like the PERFECT amount of food and best variety. Roast duck: I honestly don't know if I've ever had duck before, but I'm a duck believer now. The skin on theirs was the perfect crispy shatter texture and the duck was sooooo juicy! I don't know why I was always so worried about it being gamey. They give you fluffy steamed bao buns, a sauce, and scallions on the side as well as duck fried rice! Turnip cake: Obviously a must any time I come to dim sum. I've never seen turnip in any other form than this. Japanese salt & pepper tofu: My FAVORITE dish ever. Any fried salt & pepper tofu always makes me happy. They use a creamy egg-like tofu and the outside is lightly crispy with amazing aromatics stir fried in. Steamed white rice on the side is perfect with this. Loved everything else my dinner buds picked and we were super full by the end! Service was good and food came out fast and scorching hot! ***Parking in the area is treacherous (not the restaurants fault, but reconsider driving if possible bc cell signal can be zero to none around the garages if you get lucky) ***Their website allows you to request a reservation as long as it's 3 hours before your desired time. We came on a Saturday evening around dinner time and there was plenty of room for us to get a table immediately as walk-ins!

Please be advised, they do not take Apple Pay!…read more Both the egg yolk buns and shrimp friend rice were delicious! I went on Sunday afternoon and there were few parties dining in, so we were able to sit and get our food quickly.

Potstickers: Nice thin skins, good crunchy pan fry on the bottom, slightly underseasoned filling. Sautéed bok choy: Crispy and light with a hint of garlic, easy and healthy. Biang Biang noodles: Interesting mix of strong flavors, which weren't quite my favorite. I found it to be a touch too salty, and I was surprised by the tomato. Trialing the thin noodles was probably the wrong move; the thick hand pulled ones would've stood up to the savorineas much better. Large portion. Beef noodle soup: The thick hand pulled noodles were homey and delicious, just the right texture with some alternating thin and thick chewiness that reminded me of home. The beef noodle soup was quite light without any real beef flavor, though comforting nonetheless. Some pieces of beef were chewier and not completely cooked through while others were tender and melt in your mouth. I'd return when in the mood for a bowl of thick hand pulled noodles and maybe some healthy sauteed vegetables.
