    Chicken Seekh Kabab
    Nupur M.

When we entered the interiors kooker shabby. The lady was friendly and ber husband was straightforward. I saw many online and call orders as well as many pick up guys coming for their food. When we sat and ordered appetizers, the husband asked us if you would like to take it as takeaway as it will be 30-40% cheaper. We agreed and he indeed was right. We have saved 7$ when we opeted for take away. We took 4 chicken seekh kebabs and 2 veg samosas!! I had no high hopes with the food but delicious delicious delicious. The chicken was succulent and soft, packing was good. The samosas were apt and upto the standard. We will go there again. Some days later We tried Chicken Biryani, Chicken Korma and Butter Naan.. chicken korma was very very average.. chicken biryani was a big disappointment (13$ for nothing) - i make better biryani than it.. naan was fine!! I ll probably take only appetizers from here!

An absolute gem for Hartford's lunch crowd. Today I stopped in for some take away and I was wildly impressed. I got your standard white guys chow some kebabs and garlic naan bread and I was absolutely blown away. Delicious and mildly spicy kebabs mix perfectly with artfully appointed naan bread

    Chicken biryani - very tasty

Great service. They put a barrier so my wife could lift her niqab when eating. Good food too. Their naan is especially good and fluffy.

The best Pakistani restaurant in the area. I have tried Indian and Pakistani restaurants in the area but this one is the best.

Kebab House's barbecue is incredibly seasoned and flavorful - must try a mixed grill!

And not just one timers who wanted to try something new, but people like me who go back for more. So far they only seem to have chicken, lamb or beef on pulav. They also have regular fish and chips. The meat over rice was very flavourful. Spicy but no heat. My friend who essentially cannot handle any heat enjoyed the chicken and pulav thoroughly. Hope the truck continues to maintain the quality. However, per the guy running the show, rolls, wraps and Indian fried fish is to be expected within the next 2 weeks. The menu is vast for a truck..if he is able to pull off scrumptious tandooris, biriyanis, masala grills, parathas and curries as promised...this will be a force to reckon with. ---------updated as of 3/24------- Tried his biriyani and beef masala wrap. The biriyani and the beef was taken out of the refrigerator and microwaved. Put us off a bit. So we placed an order for the usual chicken n rice. Chicken n rice was good, but with such an extensive menu on display if the truck is only worth the chicken n rice...ehh! Bumping spice n taste down to 3 stars!

That aside, let me tell you why the five stars. I am vegetarian so I have visited many Indian food establishments. I happen to live in a town full of Indian restaurants. Mystic Royal has made the best Indian food I have ever had. We ordered takeout for all four vegetarian entrees, and wow, the spicy eggplant dish made quite the impression. Top notch. The spice level is customizable. All the flavors of each dish come out. What a mouth savoring meal!!

The owners are from Bangladesh, and they are quick to point out that this is not an East Indian restaurant but a fusion restaurant (I have never been clear on what a fusion restaurant is other than expanded menu). There were a number of dishes normally seen on menu from an Indian restaurant but no Nan bread. Instead they have paratha which if found I liked more The food was excellent. Previous cautions regarding wait time for food correct as I think every thing is freshly made rather than scooped up from last weeks offering. The ambience was modest (think small town diner rather than five star Michelin restaurant). I am more interested in quality of food. They do have a nice outdoor space. They caution regarding how hot you order food. My wife ordered it at 1/10 and was good. I have the Fireman's bowl and I think that is a 3 or 4 out of 10. I asked to have an order of Dal for take out at the heat that the chef usually eat it at. After signing a consent form and waiver (joking) she gave me an order of dal at 8/10. I tried it at this heat and yes, probably should have a glass of milk or some yogurt to cut the heat. I will try a 10/10 next time. All I all an excellent experience and one to be repeated.

This is always my favourite Indian place in Albany, but that isn't saying much because there's not a lot of good Indian food outside New York City, within New York state that is. Having said that, it's not bad. I've been here on two occasions, both of them for dine-in. We always enjoyed everything, and while prices aren't cheap, they're about in line with other Indian places in Upstate New York. If they had a bit of a more British-Indian menu I would probably go to 5 - or if they were little cheaper. As for the bug incident, I have tremendous solidarity with the woman who got lied to and misled and I think the restaurant should do a much better job handling that, and I feel bad for her in the way they treated her. About being lied to, not about the bug. But I also see it from the other side. My opinion is quite different. Bugs are everywhere. They massively outnumber every human. They're in everything, they're on everything. Eating bugs is really not going to do much harm. There's no place that's truly clean, and the cleaner we try to make it clean with is more dangerous than bugs and dirt by miles, because it's the chemicals we use to clean that cause infinitely more diseases than the stuff we're cleaning up. I travel to countries with amazing food around the world that don't have anywhere near these supposed cleanliness standards of America and it does us no harm, believe me. We really need to just get over it and if we find a bug or hair or whatever, just shrug and throw it out and maybe throw that portion out if you must, give it to animals or something, a homeless person, and get on with our lives. Because cooking in our own kitchens, there is every chance there's been bugs in our food too, at home. In fact I've seen it happen in many places. A lot of cultures even eat bugs and it's a delicacy so it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. So it might be gross but don't go ape on a place and change it to 1 star over a damn bug. Bad service, maybe, sure, but I'm not sure what more they should be expected to do than offering free replacements an extra sides. And posting pictures of bugs to the listing of a family restaurant for me is ethically wrong but each their own. The ethical problem is that Yelp will often make this the top picture. No idea why because this is bordering on bringing down a little local business and a livelihood, because a bug ended up in their food. I guarantee a bug has ended up in every dish at every restaurant across the world on several occasions, so whatever. First world problems are what make me puke.
