    Bibimbap

This is overall a solid restaurant for Asian food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. It's decent, but nothing crazy special! Just simple and tasty food. I got the bibimbap, which was packed with fresh vegetables and lots of flavor! I loved the sweet/spicy sauce you mix in. The veggies were not overcooked, which I really appreciated. However, the dish lacked beef... The amount of meat was very minimal compared to the portions of rice and veggies. My friends did enjoy their soups! But nothing super impressive to note. Just decently made piping hot soups for a chilly day in Marina.

Staying in town for our 9th anniversary and stumbled upon this gem. We definitely ordered more than we could eat but it was delicious and we took the rest back to our hotel. The staff were friendly and she even helped us cook our food at the table. We sat at a booth that did feel slightly private with high dividers. We enjoyed it very much.

When we want to eat some warm comforting food we always come to New Korean restaurant and Order their budae-Jjigae (army stew) soup. It's a good spicy soup with ramen, spam, sausages, tofu, and a variety of assorted vegetables. The times I have gone the service is motherly and homey by their servers! The restaurant is small, but has an average amount of seating. I wish their prices weren't as high as they are, if not we would eat there consistently!

9.2/10 Amazing dinner! Started off with the Gal Bi, and wow, perfect balance of sweet and savory. The meat was cooked to perfection, super tender, and the portion was generous. Well-seasoned and definitely hit the spot! 9.5/10 The Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap was also great. The clay pot gave the rice that perfect crispy bottom, and the egg had a beautifully runny yolk. The assorted veggies were fresh and balanced the dish well. Only thing I'd wish for is a bit more meat. 8.8/10 All the banchan were delicious, with the potatoes being my favorite. Service was excellent, server was extremely friendly, and I loved that they kept a bottle of water tableside. The ambiance was really nice too. It's a cute restaurant with cozy, semi-private seating that feels personal and great for enjoying time with loved ones. Interior and decor were on point as well.!

An amazing find!!! I'm always craving Korean food and this hit the spot! Unlimited banchan refills, a lot of seating space, a lot of parking, friendly service. The freshest banchan sides I've ever had and the spicy pork bulgogi was really good! Definitely coming back!

I was cravingggg Korean food on a work trip in Marina and this was the only place open and I'm SO glad we came here because this was the most quaint, felt-like-home, and sweet restaurant in our entire trip. The folks who worked here were extra nice and gave us candy and a yakult before we left! The food here was really good, and I just can't emphasize enough how cozy this place felt on a rainy day. Would recommend the tteokbokki and I would try the sundubu next time as well!

New Korea Restaurant is located in a tiny plaza with a parking lot next to a Korean market. I believe it's one of the only Korean restaurants in the area, & it feels family-owned/gives small business vibes which I love. We had decent service and were seated quickly. I got the tofu stew (sundubu jjigae) and for $18, the portion was generous. It costs an extra $1 for the egg, so I opted out. It also came with a side of white rice. The soup itself was filling and hearty, but it was a little too sweet for my liking. I've also never seen carrots in my stew but first time for everything! The ban chan also was absolutely delicioussssss and we asked for additional servings of the kimchi because it was so good!!!! Definitely did not taste like Costco kimchi, and much better than the usual at other Korean restaurants. Overall this place filled me up and I would love to come again and try something new! :)

A solid Korean restaurant in Marina. I enjoyed the complimentary sides that is paired with the meal. I really enjoyed the spice for the ramen. Easily my favorite part of the meal.

Craving for some Korean food I found this authentic spot in Marina, a hole in the wall. their menu was limited, but they had the essentials. There was decent amount of people for dinner on a Sunday. The service was OK. We did have to continuously. ask for service.when need it. we ordered the spicy beef soup ( Yugeajung) and the flavor was on point. Spicy level just right. However there was barely any beef in it, almost not existent. The price was expensive for the amount of food especially since it felt like a veggie soup. The side dishes lacked in flavor so that was really disappointing because I love side dishes at Korean places. Still for a local spot, the food flavors were still pretty good.

We came during July 4 weekend and it was busy during during dinner time. 3 hardworking ajumma with beautiful glowing skin was working all the tables. They quickly got us seated. I can't tell you how grateful I was to find this Korean restaurant that had all my favorite Korean dishes. Even the Korean restaurant on caramel didn't have this many dishes. It def feels like someone's home cooking. Everything was well seasoned and delicious!! The barley tea was self serve which I liked but it had a weird taste...I guess they kept pouring hot tea into old tea. Another downside: there was probably less than 10 small pieces of pork in the kimchi with pork and tofu dish Additional parking In the back The restroom: turn right and into the corner when you walk out of the restaurant. Overall, so happy to have Korean food around here. Def made my Night

After a long 3.5 hour drive from out of town we wanted some food night time 8pm on March 27th on a Friday. Hotel recommended QQ noodle we went sadly was closed BUT we met a gentleman outside the restaurant his name is Jeff!! He asked what we were craving something kid friendly & just some good food he said follow me I know just the spot Korea food. & we did we followed him & ended up here just a sweet man seem super down to earth. He told the staff it was our first time eating Korean food he recommended some plates that's exactly what we got & the food was AMAZING!! I just want to say THANK YOU JEFF if you ever see this post it's Us with the 2 girls. Great service amazing staff atmosphere was just so different I enjoyed myself so much. Marina Ca people are the best so welcoming!!

Parking was only mildly challenging, as a space opened up after only a single lap around the block. Inside here, you'll find a busy place with a few tables and individual bar-style (partitioned!) paired seating along the walls adjacent to the kitchen in the middle part of the restaurant. Order up at the self-serve order kiosks, tap in your table/counter number, and they bring out your order in a couple of minutes. We had six of us in our party, and most of us kept it simple by ordering the default Tonkatsu Ramen with different customizable options. Most all of the ingredients in this order were on point - The Chasu Pork Belly was tender, thick and delicious, ramen noodles nothing special, but generally stil on point, as were the bamboo shoots. However, the co-star/centerpiece of the Tonkatsu Ramen other than the Chasu Pork slab should be the broth, but sadly the broth was far far TOO salty which overpowered the other flavors in the broth. Chasu Pork 4.8/5, Tonkatsu Ramen 3.1/5. Service was good as everyone was hustling hard in the kitchen, along with attentive bussers/waitstaff to quickly turn tables. They take good care in wiping down the tables here. If I return, I'll just get the Paitan Ramen like I did in years past, as that seemed less salty. Then again the Paitan soup base begins with the same chicken+pork soup base as the Tonkatsu Ramen. I hope Toribashi will step back up to their former glory.

Everything we ordered was delicious, from the side dishes to the kalbi. The kimchi was so good I couldn't stop eating it, and the fish cake and sweet, crunchy radish were just as tasty. The kimchi kalbi was so flavorful and so tender. The ramyeon was delicious, especially with the mandu added in, and the chicken bowl had great flavor too. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm craving Korean food. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. It's a smaller space, but it feels welcoming. But this was just down the street from my hotel and the pictures looked really appetizing, so we gave it a shot. It did not disappoint! Between two of us, we ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi meal and a mandu appetizer. It was the perfect amount of food for us to not have leftovers (our hotel had no fridge). The mandu came first and was very tasty and perfectly fried. The chicken came out as we were finishing the appetizer. The staff had warned us that it would be spicy, but I was surprised that it WAS actually spicy. My tolerance is higher than the average person but I definitely needed a lot of rice for this. I wouldn't say the flavor of the sauce was in line with the Korean food we have in LA, but it was very good in its own right. The staff was very attentive and friendly and chatted with us throughout the meal. The owner's family was eating there too, and since some members of their party were being slightly rowdy, the owner's sister bought us an extra order of mandu for the trouble! We got to chat with her and with the owner. They seem very genuine about wanting customers to have a good experience. If I live close by next time I'm in town, I would definitely want to stop by again to try their other bulgogi meats!
