Galbi short ribs with rice and mac salad.

The food is amazing!!!! If you want authentic Hawaiian food you've got to try this place. Get the galbi short ribs extra charred! The only things that sucks about this place is how long they take to make the food and the seating. The chairs are on their last leg and are about to break soon. Lastly, the owner wears black gloves while handling money and touching the door so it kinda looks like he goes in the back and handles food with those same gloves because I've never seen him take them off after handling money or touching the door. Kinda gross!

My family was craving some Hawaiian BBQ while in Monterey and decided to check this place out. The restaurant was small. It had a couple of small tables inside. When normally ordering Hawaiian BBQ, it normally takes 10-15 minutes to get your food. I don't know if it was because it was dinner time, but took us 50 minutes to get our food. I started getting worried faster a saw others get food who ordered after us. By the time we got our food, we noticed the chicken katsu was over cooked and really dry. At least the cashier gave us a free shaved ice. I can't imagine us going back here again.

had high hopes after seeing all the Google reviews and TikToks about Keoki's BBQ, but honestly we were pretty let down. My husband ordered the Keoki wings and katsu combo, and I got the kalua pork and katsu. We also ordered 2 musubi and the manapuas. The katsu was overcooked, the kalua pork was bland, and the chicken was dry. The spam in the musubi was sliced super thin. The guava cake was actually really good, probably the best thing we had. For the price we paid, especially driving 5 hours and making this our first food stop, we honestly wish we would've gone somewhere else. The wait was long, there was no Hawaiian music or vibe, and the customer service felt nonexistent. I'm not going to give them 1 star even though I honestly wanted to, but don't claim Hawaiian when there's no Aloha or Mana behind it.

I worked at a recent Celebration of Life for an HI-Japanese Loved One. The family ordered her favorite treats from Keoki's Hawaiian Barbeque, including Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Chicken Skewers, Musubi (spam & vegetarian), & Fried Rice. The catering team brought everything fresh & hot to our offsite location. Each item was provided in metal trays with lids that were secured in small, cardboard boxes to prevent spillage during travel to our site. The catering team knew our Loved One personally and surprised the family with an extra tray of non-skewered chicken teriyaki. Napkins & serving utensils were included. The meal was the highlight of the celebration because the family dined on 'comfort food' -- traditional dishes from their culture. The price was right and the professionalism was the best! Whether you're familiar with the dishes or want your meal in the restaurant, Keoki's Hawaiian Barbeque is the best example of quality products & customer service with a personal touch. Thank you.

The best Hawaiian food I've had outside of Hawaii!!! I was born and raised in Hawaii and coming to this spot reminded me of home. The quality and taste of the plate lunch I got reminded me of being at a family party back home. So many options to choose from there, the service is top notch and I am definitely coming back!!!! The only downside is that it's a small restaurant so be prepared to take it home but they do have some tables available.

Omg soooooooo good. A taste of Hawaii right here, how lucky for those who live around here!!! It's very rare to find a Hawaiian spot that is close to authentic. Here...you'll feel like you're eating the food at a luau or a local mom and pop ono grindz spot. Everything we ordered was soooooo good. My daughter loved the katsu sauce we had to order one more. My gosh my plate was truly heaven. I got to try the pulled pork aka kalua pork, loco moco with eggs over easy and the chicken wings!!! OMG!!! It was truly a heaven on earth experience. There is still soooo much I wanna try here. I am drooling as I writing this review. My son loved his spam musubi too. My other daughter ordered the loco moco fries and she loved that as well. This is a small space with only two tables with two chairs each so you may not be able to dine in. We had to wait for others to leave before we could sit and eat and our entire family alone took up all the seatings available lol. There were a lot of people ordering the entire time we were here so this must be a popular food spot. I'm surprised this was our first time here. So happy to have recently discovered it. We will definitely be back!!! Friendly staff too!!!

Food is always good and service is awesome. You can call ahead of time for pick-up. Updated interior with more Hawaiian feel.

This place is legit. First off, unless you're on island time - call in your order; Keoki's gets busy (at least on the Monday during lunchtime when I visited). Inside, there are two small tables that can sit two patrons each. First, decide what you'd like (from their extensive menu on the wall) while you're waiting in line, then order at the counter. You'll pay for your meal, and pick out any beverages and/or desserts from the cold cases near the register. Depending on how many people ordered before you, sit back and wait 20-30min for your meal to be prepared. Gotta say though, WORTH the wait! I ordered the Loco Moco and it was SUPERB! Honestly, it was enough food for 2 servings. I also picked out a Hawaiian Sun beverage from their extensive selection of drinks, and Rocky Road pie (with macadamia nuts!) for dessert. Let me tell you, I left this place feeling well fed & satisfied! My only regret is not trying this place sooner; next time I'm in Marina, it will be at the top of my list to revisit! Check them out - good vibes, great food. Keep it up, Keoki's! You are a gem, and the locals are lucky to have you.

Picked up lunch from here. Chicken Katsu and Bento (Katsu & Hamburger Steak). The Chicken Katsu was very hard and overly dark brown. Sadly, my Katsu were refried. (Katsu should have a nice golden brown color and juicy). Hamburger Steak smelled off, like a spoiled taste once I bit into it. I wasn't expecting this...I'm so disappointed. I did enjoy the rice, it was perfectly cooked. The Mac Salad isn't your normal Hawaiian Mac Salad but more of an updated American Mac Salad, with sweet notes in it. I gave this place another try but after this experience, I won't be returning.

Combo w wings, hamburger steak and kalua pork

Got a rec to come here from a local and made the effort to come from afar to try this place out. Was super disappointed that they just ran out of the Lau Lau for the day (Fridays only) when I tried to place the order. Instead, Got the 3 item combo with wings, hamburger steak and Kalua pork that comes with a large scoop of rice and Mac. Best chicken wings I've had, hands down. Perfectly crispy, juicy and absolutely delicious. It's like a flavor bomb in your mouth. Slightly sweet and salty, perfectly seasoned. My dad took one bite and immediately said it was best he's ever had and he's extremely hard to please nowadays on chemo. So that tells you something. Too bad we ordered it when they were closing otherwise would have ordered another order of just wings. The kalua pork was just alright and simple. Least favorite was the hamburger, as there were grisly pieces that were a bit hard to digest and flavor was just ok. But I may not be the best gauge on this dish since I typically don't care for loco moco even in Hawaii. Also seemed a bit over cooked in my opinion. Tips: call in the order in advance so you don't have to wait. Go early for the Lau Lau. Just get the wings and thank me later. 10% discount for military and first responders.

This is our go to spot when we can get there when they're open (closed weekends). We love Hawaiian food and this is in our top 3 of all places (from CA to HI). Service is always friendly - you might have to wait a bit for your food if there are other customers ahead of you, but it is well worth the wait! The chicken wings are the best! We also always get spam musubi. You can order your rice plain, or seasoned with furikake. Our usuals: loco loco, kalua pork, chicken katsu...except for most of the breakfast items, we've tried almost everything and nothing disappoints! The place is small but clean with a few small tables for 2 inside. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas. The only thing I wish could change is that they'd be open on weekends.

Mix plate of teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, wings with a side of macaroni, salad, and potato salad. With a spam Musubi

It was our first time at Keokis it was amazing! We got an order to go, and we loved their macaroni salad and the meats were all so well seasoned and grilled! We did the teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, and wings! The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations from the menu. Such a great find! Reminds me of Zippys on the Big Island! This place is small only two tables inside but they have a nice area of outside dining with umbrellas. The food was just so delicious they make the meats once you order and you can just taste the freshness! If you are in a hurry I would call ahead we waited about 15 min for our order it was so worth it! We had a Hawaiian Sun Luau Punch drink to compliment our meal. Next time will have to get a snow cone they looked so tempting! The picture that I'm including is just my husbands dish we were able to do 2 with double serving of macaroni and a small potato salad! So for us a meal for 2 was only $30.27 and we got to taste the three different kinds of meats plus a spam musubi! Glad to have a place like this so close to us on the main land!

Is it possible to order in advance and pick up later? For example, ordering at around 4pm and picking up at 5pm?

After walking on the pier we were kinda worried about finding a decent spot to eat. So glad we gave it a try. Walking in there were like 3 other parties walking in so that was encouraging. It gave off Hawaiian/tiki vibes and was inviting. They have a 3 course special 4-5 pm for like $30. My husband and I picked that, I had the teriyaki chicken bowl and he had bbq ribs. The salad had a delicious dressing and had to eat every morsel. Both the main courses were really good. My grandson ordered the steak and ate every bite of the whole meal. Kai (the waiter) was very nice and gave us some advice on what to see along the route. I got an amazing picture that I blew up to hang in our room. Totally recommend giving this place a try!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and genuine hospitality. Our server, Paula, was a class act and great at what she does. We loved the poke chips and lilikoi buns. My wife had the halibut, my daughter had the chicken nuggets and fries, and I had the ribeye. The Mai Tai and Chi Chi were outstanding. The highlight of the night was when Paula surprised our daughter with a shaved ice dessert and dry ice presentation. It was her last day of 2nd grade, and we were celebrating the start of summer before she heads into 3rd grade. The smile on her face was priceless. Earlier in the day we experienced some poor customer service elsewhere, so this was a great reminder of what true hospitality looks like. Great food, great drinks, and even better service. Thank you, Paula, for helping make a special family memory. We'll definitely be back.
