Charissa Welch the owner has been in business in Napa for a number of years and is an important business owner to our community. On this day the quality of the detail on my car was pretty poor. These days we all face challenges of labor shortages, supply chain issues and rising costs and for those reasons and more we need to protect our brands and reputations by respectfully working with our employees and Inspecting What We Expect. We have to set the bar so employees know that it is the quality of our work that brings customers in and keeps them returning. On this day I had the following issues. 1) Armor all type product over used on the motor and then streaks of it were running down the right front fender. 2) The underside of the engine hood was coated with the same armor all type product, spotting the hood. 3) The very bottom of the cars side panels were not washed let alone waxed, completely missed. 4) The trunk panels were not wiped down. 5) Water spots remained on the car and the explanation was that it would cost more to remove them. Then call me and ask what I would like to do and upsell me. read more

Once again, I came back to New Life Auto Salon to get my almost 6 year old Subaru Forester cleaned on the inside and out. Due to cat urine hitting the passenger seat and rear driver seat, among general dirt, stains, etc. that comes with using the car - Charissa's team did a FABULOUS JOB! It feels brand new... (and NO Cat Pee smell!) If I could give them 20 stars I would! The customer service Charissa enacts is nothing but stellar! She is friendly, polite, very good about explaining what will happen and to give you updates about what is happening. I will always recommend their business to everyone! I had taken my Lexus over here at least three times now. They are always so nice and never charge me for unnecessary service. Joe is a great guy and he is so helpful. He reminds of a big huggable teddy bear :). My car had a check engine light at one time and he gave me the code and he said that based on the code I can still drive the car no problem once he cleared it. If the check engine light comes back on then bring it back and he'll recheck it and if needed he might do a radiator flush. I had also taken it for a smog check there. They are also a test only station. Yesterday, my car will not start and my worst fear was that the alternator was bad. I had them keep the car overnight and they charged the battery and he offered me a ride back. It turns out that it was only a loose cable in the battery and he tested all the charging system and the ignition and everything was fine. They also cleaned the interior of my car and he only charged me $36. He also said that next time it happens, and it won't start, he said just give them a call and he will be more than happy to give me a jump rather than waiting for AAA to come and help me. I am very happy with them and will recommend them to friends and family. It's great to see that there are still family owned businesses out here that are honest and exteremely helpful. read more

I've just been WOWED, and with my OCD, that doesn't happen very easily. I took our truck into New Life Auto Salon after my wife's dress accidentally dyed the seats blue in our pickup truck. I was told by the owner that they'd be able to remove the dye by shampooing the upholstery. The owner also recommended that they scotch guard the seats to prevent it from happening again. I scheduled the appointment and had the work completed at my convenience. I had the work completed yesterday and WOW!!! I can't even tell the seat was ever dyed blue, they look brand new!! This was my first time using the services at New Life, but moving forward they'll be my one-stop-shop. When I was paying for the work that was completed, I noticed the business also Smog's, details cars (inside and out) tints windows and installs remote starts!!! They also offer other services and supplies as well as service with a smile! I'll be returning soon, very soon! I can't rave enough about the quality of service and care my car got. I take very good car of my car and I can honestly say I will never go anywhere else. My car was do for a detail and had some swirl marks from a previous car wash center and they talked me through how they would get it out. They kept me updated about what was going on with my car and what they were doing. They are also very affordable for the quality of work. I really can't recommend them enough... they literally do everything there by the way! Picked up my car from a detail and dropped my boyfriends off for a broken tail light and a simple wash. Note I am a returning customer who probably would have left a 4 star review in the past--if I ever wrote those. My most recent experience w/ New Strife Auto Salon was horrendous. Caitlin answered the phone and is pleasant enough but not terribly knowledgable about their services/products. Whatever, I can deal with that from an appointment clerk. Besides, she was friendly and courteous upon my arrival. Good stuff here. What I won't deal with is sh**ty attitude from the owner who's supposed to care about good client relations. Sherisa (sp?) is a total sweetheart but her counterpart, Sloppy Joe leaves a lot to be desired. He was a curt, barely tolerable cheap salesman of the worst sort. Want an idea of his "type" go look at any review of a timeshare salesman and then imagine them without all their class and wit. After giving me a price range well in excess of what my last car cost (and my last car was in WAY worse shape--remember I'm a returning customer) I'm told that they'll give me whatever $$ amount of detailing. "You want $225 worth of detailing, that's what we'll give ya." Direct quote. Great, you'll work with me? I'm so honored. Now on to the actual detailing. I don't expect much. Really, I don't. The only friggin' thing I specifically asked for was a bit of unsightly gunk and glue to be removed--something I was assured would be handled. After that, as long as the carpets looked washed and clean (stains notwithstanding) and the interior's shiny bits are wiped w/ a damp towel, I'm a happy camper. Of course, after paying $225 w/o being offered a walk around post cleaning, I notice the specific gunk and glue had barely been touched. It was the ONLY thing I SPECIFICALLY asked for. When I bring this issue up, Sloppy Joe perturbed at having to pacify the situation with his excellent people person skills, tells his son (Adam? Nice enough kid) to do a once over on the offending glue. Sloppy Joe doesn't acknowledge the imposition on my time or frustration with having to deal with sloppy, half-assed workmanship. I wait another 20 minutes for this to be dealt with, take the car w/o so much as a "Thank you for your business during our slow rainy season," and I'm off. I didn't bother to point out that a number of obvious areas in the vehicle looked as though they hadn't been touched. Spots on the shiny bits that came off w/ a lick of the thumb and a number of other stupid, easy fixes were missed. I was done with this hell hole of a business. I guess that's what $225 worth of detailing will get ya. Oh, did I forget to write something about the mildew smell in the car the next day? That was free. Final notes: Really big, cute pit-bull, with all its teeth, off-leash inside the store front. Crazy high window tinting quotes. Cheap, hard sell tactics from Sloppy Joe (seriously dude, watch Glengarry Glen Ross just one time you mouth breathing troglodyte). I'd have paid $50 for the mildew smell but $225 is ridiculous! read more

Ended up using another detailer, but I wanted to include my experience with them. A young lady answered the phone each time I called and she was very helpful. She explained exactly what would be cleaned and how (their detail package basically starts at $250 but can be higher or lower depending on several factors). It's a very inclusive package, nothing is left out. They had good availability for appointments. Unfortunately, their price was higher than most others, perhaps a reflection of the quality or scope of detailing, but I was able to find a lower price ($150) for a similar level of work. If I had a nicer car and needed immediate availability I would have gone with them. read more

Had my Jetta detailed here last week and they did a FANTASTIC job. I didn't pay up for extra exterior work because I park outside in SF, but for a very reasonable price they made the interior of my car look brand new. They also did a great job on the outside - removed some old stains and made the car shiny and sparkling clean. The valets at my hotel commented on how great the car looked and asked where I had it cleaned! read more

I wanted to get my interior detailed. I have '06 Charger and is in good condition. They returned it to me, in near perfect condition. Any stains on my cloth seats were gone and had they out of show room floor smell. I recommend anyone that wants to get a truly great detail to go here. This is a review of New Life Auto Salon in Napa. I bought a brand new Honda Odyssey van in July of 2015. On 4th of July we parked near the fireworks at Calistoga fair. Debris from the fireworks landed on the roof and hood, embedding into the finish (I will never park close to fireworks again, ever!) It's as though the hot embers melted into the finish which created a sort of heavy sandpaper texture. This was a brand new vehicle and I thought the finish was ruined. I had the van detailed at New Life Auto and when they were finished, you could take your hand across the flat surfaces and it was as smooth as the day I bought it. They used a combination of clay and elbow grease to polish it up. These guys know what they're doing. Great work ethic. Nice staff. read more

Talk about going above and beyond with quality of work and customer service. I am about to have twins and wanted to get a deep cleaning on my car, removing dog fur, beach life, and camping grime so my little babes would have a clean surface to puke on when they get here. I have had my car cleaned and detailed before, knowing they are the only ones in town with the right equipment to actually steam clean leather and so it was a natural choice to return to them for business. Charissa and Koki in the office were a pleasure to work with in making the right detail decisions for the car, understanding budget with twins on the way, they cared most about meeting my needs and authentic excitement for me personally. They were timely with their work and did an extraordinary job on my car. The inside looks like new (my car is 11 years old). I had water marks on my window from faulty irrigation in my yard that other basic car wash places and dealership said would cost a couple hundred dollars to remove. New Life Auto Salon removed them and didn't even bring it up for discussion, it was as if it was a piece of cake to clean. And then there was my engine.......lordy, they cleaned that up too! I highly recommend you give them your business. They are family owned, work hard and treat you like family. No better place to support than that in my book! read more

I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe that I drive my clients in for work. It had blueberry stains on the back carpet, grease, dirt and field dust everywhere. Her "Have you Pet your Car today" finish was as smooth as silk, and her interior didn't show any trace of the 3 grandkids she happily transports (most of the time, eating, and spilling) rain or shine. We took our car to this shop because of all the great Yelp reviews. We needed some scratches on the hood of our almost 2 year old car buffed out. When we picked up our car, it looked like most of the scratches were gone. However, after one wash later, all the scratches were visible again. For this, they charged us $225. My 2001 Mercedes 500 S's leather was quite imbedded with dirt from driving for 10 years. I had tried other detail places, but nobody could clean it up. New Life did just that. New Life Auto Salon is fantastic! I purchased a used car in which the previous owner had used an extremely strong air freshener. I tried everything to get rid of the stench (I left the windows rolled down for weeks, tried several different deoderizers, and even ran an ozone machine in it for 2 days), but nothing worked. I brought my car to New Life and they got rid of the smell completely! I was shocked. They also did an incredible interior detail job. They even took the seats out so they could clean the tracks- they are extremely thorough! My car looks and smells brand new! I was able to make a same day appointment and the family who runs the shop is unbelievably friendly and helpful. They even have a cozy waiting room complete with a fireplace and wireless internet. I paid $300 total which included shampooing of all four mats, cleaning of the headliner, and a new air filter ($60). I'm sure a standard detail would be less expensive. Whatever the price, it's worth it!! read more

However, I did not appreciate that my phone number was somehow obtained by the employee that cleaned my car. Not only was I harassed by the employee, I also got various from this employee's girlfriend. Joe and his team truly take pride in the work and service they offer. How does a 2005 Jetta look after they do their magic? Amazing!! They pulled stains out of the leather seats and conditioned them so they're smooth and supple. The shine is gorgeous. All of the paint dings from other cars were removed. The dingy plastic door handles and lower panels were cleaned til new. The engine was spotless too! They gladly provided transportation while the car was detailed.
