I was very surprised when i found this spot. I have read the reviews and most of them give negative feedback due to take out issues. My visit was about eating at the establishment. The location is designed more of a takeout spot but they do have 4 tables that you can eat at. The location has a basic clean going on (wipe down tables, sweep floor, no visible trash) but does have things around the door that have not been dusted for probably a year lol. Now to get to the food (which matters the most). I loved it! One of my favorite dishes is egg foo young shrimp and they actually made it right! Most places do not cook it the correct way. The orange chicken with rice was also great. I suggest giving this place a try. read more

The only good thing about this place was the cashier was friendly. The food is not good!! I got hot & spicy chicken, hot and spicy shrimp, cheese puffs, and beef fried rice for $33. The pricing isn't bad but it wasn't worth it. The cheese puffs are great. On the other hand, the meat seems undercooked and they throw a bunch of veggies instead of giving you meat (like what your order)! Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get a lot of meat because its horrible. The chicken is cut into thin strips and barely has any flavor. It's not even spicy. The shrimp has an overly fishy taste like it's old. And when you chew it, the texture is odd.. almost like rubber. We ordered delivery from here, and it was pretty good. I ordered the lunch menu shrimp lo mein. It was your typical American-Chinese food, very greasy and all a similar color. The flavor of that was good, but stuffed into about half of the bowl was chicken fried rice - which I was not impressed with. It was dry and was basically filler. A group of us at work had ordered delivery together because they have a $15 order minimum to be able to do delivery. Our order was also incorrect, we had a wrong drink and double the amount of rangoons, which we were also charged for. The result of this endeavor is tbd, but the rumblings in my stomach are not hopeful of a happy, care-free afternoon. I probably won't be giving them another chance to wreck my colon. read more

Ordered the fried dumplings and they were literally dripping in grease, I took one bite and all I could taste was grease. I ate one anyway, hoping I'd like it. 1. They come with 8 dumplings. I knew I wasn't going to eat them so I asked if I could either replace it with a different menu item or a refund because I didn't like them. And the man asked the lady and she was immediately upset and telling him what to tell me, and he said he couldn't do either because I ate one of the dumplings. Ordered pepper steak combination tonight around 8:00 p.m. My pick-up order was ready in ten minutes. This place is not fancy. Somewhat run down and a bit dirty. That kind of thing does not bother me. Take out has been a go to for me. I'm new to Minnesota and I am still adapting to freezing and below freezing days. I received a take out menu from New panda house in my mail box. Being a Yelper I love to try new places. I've order from this place 4 times before doing my review. 2 delivery orders, 1 delivery order I had to return because somethings were not right, and lastly a pick up order. The food is so yummy . Nice and hot, the packaging is secure every time. Soy sauce, duck sauce and hot sauce always had it in the bag. My order was wrong twice. The two different times I ordered from new panda house.The women at the counter is sweet made sure it was fixed. It was truly little things that were not with my order. Definitely one of my favorite Take out places. The flavors are perfect. Not to mention the white rice served is very tasty. So are the chef specials. Check them out. So going to have a little rant. They delivered our meal this evening and forgot the rice. Easy fix right. Send out rice with the next driver right. No they told me it would be an hour until they could get it to me. So then I asked what there were going to do about the cold meal and asked them to remake the dish so I could have the whole meal hot. They said they couldn't do that. Then I told them to just go ahead a refund the meal. they then put me on hold for over ten minutes. When they got back on they said they could not do that and that they would send out a new meal and that I would have to send the old meal back with the driver. weird but OK no problem. This conversation was supposedly with the manager. Five minutes later they had there order taker call back and say they were only going to deliver the rice and not replace the meal like they said they would. I was pretty upset by this point. I again told them to just refund the meal and I would forget about it. They said again they wouldn't do that. I told her this was unacceptable. I said I would need a refund or have my order remade so I could have the meal hot. If they weren't going to do either I then asked the poor girl (sorry but it is very upsetting that the cowardly owner wouldn't even talk to me and had this poor girl have to deal with the situation) if she was willing to lose me as a customer. (now we have been customer there for over 10 years and have spent $10,000's of dollars there) She would not answer and said again they would send out the rice for me to have with my now cold meal. They chose to lose my business over a $15.00 meal because of poor customer service. So never had any complaints about the food. I've ordered from here many times. It's not a short drive to my house, and the food is always hot and delicious. Looking at other reviews, The fried rice is a little less fried than you'd normally expect, but it's still good, and I've never had the driver ask for a tip, even when it was the super cold snap and below -20. That said, they should have a driver tip option on the website, which they don't. Tip your drivers folk, they deserve it! Either way, the food is tasty, the egg rolls and cream cheese wontons are fantastic, and it normally gets to my house before the delivery time. Ordered delivery on Wednesday night. Got an order of Happy Family & Sesame Chicken combo plate delivered. Delivery took almost an hour, I thought that was kinda long for a midweek order. The egg roll with the combo plate was super small, maybe 2-2.5 inches long & not filled with much. The sesame chicken was dry and had little flavor & too much breading. Fried rice was full of peas & carrots, call me a traditionalist but I'm not a fan of mixed vegs in my rice. The Happy Family was probably the best of the lot, with lots of meats and veggies. Pleasantly surprised as I don't often stray from Kengs. I had the vegetable lo me in, cream cheese wontons and vegetable spring rolls. I will skip the spring rolls as they are mostly just fried dough, not much veggies. I was hoping they were fresh but I forgot to ask before hand. The wontons were great and there was a lot if lo me in. I had some for lunch the next day. The staff were courteous and filled my order fast. Most of their food is ok, even good, but they seem to have a problem with breaded chicken items. They seem to be missing the chicken. The breading is so thick, and the chicken is dry and tasteless. But the curry chicken is delish...and even better if they actually send the white rice that is supposed to come with the order. And it would be nice if the person that answers the phone at the restaurant spoke better English and did not hang up on you when you called to complain. I thought that maybe since they were now using MENUFY for online orders, that the orders would be more accurate and complete. My family had a horrible experience at New Panda House the other night. We ordered our food and when the driver got to our house he refused to bring the food upstairs to my door, stating that he was too busy to do so and that I needed to come get it. I was so irritated seeing as I'm paying for this damn food AND they have a $3 delivery fee!!! He was the only driver to ever refuse to come up to my door. My husband being as aggravated as he was went downstairs to grab the food, at this point the driver was not getting a tip. Once downstairs, my husband notices that the driver isn't even in the building, he's standing outside with the food!! He proceeds to tell the driver that he needs to not be so rude and how we're paying for a service, therefore he needed to bring the food up from now on. Get this: The driver got scared, started to ignore what my husband was saying and proceeded to yell for help, run away with the food, AND call the damn police, lol!!! It was unbelievable! He called the police, wow!! The police came and dismissed everything, basically laughed at the guy and said that this wasn't even a police matter. This is my favorite Chinese place in the area! The food is consistently delicious and the portion sizes are extremely generous. I really love the sesame chicken, cream cheese wontons, chicken lo mein, and the fried rice. Delivery is fast and generally comes with some extra additions, like the Chinese donuts.
