Well 15 minutes late wearing tan casual pants and Bad Christmas sweater. Did not speak English very good at all. Did not know how to get to out destination. Drove so bad we were singing " we're going to die, we're going to die". Could not stay in the lane, swerving from lane to lane. Abrupt breaking not a smooth at all! Coming home new driver. Abrupt breaking and offered a bottle of water. My friend picked up the bottle and there was red wine in the cup holder which went all over her pants. Driver had black pants black jacket and white shirt. Wrinkled and dirty. It showed the car was not cleaned from the night before gross. Will not return. read more

We have used this company many times and had great service . Today, we were to be picked up at 6:40 am, at 6:50 am we called Harry and it was obvious we woke him up. He said he would call back in 5 minutes after he called the driver. 10 minutes later he still had not called back, so we called him. He said he had an issue with the SUV and asked if we could find another ride!!! Who were we supposed to get at the last minute???Needless to say we had to drive ourselves and will now be paying about $500 in parking fees. We will never use this company again!!!! read more

My experience with newstar was fabulous. Navtej picked me up from SFO . Received his message as soon as I landed well advance in time.It took me an hour extra due to some luggage issues, even then he welcomed me with a warm smile dropped me to San Jose. My departure flight was from sjc and Mr Harry dropped me there, another man of interest.I acknowledge that new star crew is very professionalized helpful and friendly real models of true customer service.Their rides are clean smooth aromatic nd shiny as brand new cars.I m still struggling in finding service as theirs here in Vancouver. Such an horrible company. I had an early monring domestic flight from SFO connecting to international flight at SeaTac. Come travel day, no confirmation. 30 min before my start time, I call them and all I heard was the yarn of a person, supposedly the owner. He lied saying that the driver was on the way. Long story short, 30 min AFTER the scheduled start time, he canceled saying his driver was sick. Here I am, no uber, no friends, no alternative - all because it was so early in the morning. No apologies. no compensation. Nothing. Will never deal with these idiots again. read more

Excellent communication and service. I needed a limo for a last minute trip to wine country and called several limousine companies. New Star answered the phone (most of the others went straight to voice mail) and worked with me to find a driver who was available for the entire day. I called around 10 a.m. and he had a driver picking me up at noon! Driver was courtesy, prompt and friendly. Wow!! This service totally rocks!! Normally my family drives itself to and from the airport, using the extended parking lots - which subsequently is a lot a hassle between all our luggage, including a car seat, getting to and from the shuttle stops, and on and off the bus with our little one in tow. Our most recent vacation my husband suggested a car service, being the type-A person I am, I researched and priced 5 different options, including Uber. After my analysis, which mostly included pricing, I decided to call New Star, and I am thrilled with my decision. On my initial call, Harry, owner of New Star, answered my call quickly...he was very friendly and informative and his pricing was undeniably low. I gave him all my information regarding our travels and within 24 hours received an email with details of our pick-up to be driven to the airport and details with our pick-up at the airport to be driven back home. Day of departure, Harry arrived on-time, in our driveway with a beautiful, very clean, Lincoln Town-car. On the drive to the airport, he was very personable and friendly (we love to chat and he responded in kind). We arrived on-time at the airport, being dropped off at curbside...which was much less exhausting then parking our personal car in the lots and dealing with the aforementioned hassles. Our return home was just as easy, Harry was on-time and meet us in baggage claim, and we had a very short distance to the parked car, with an easy, chauffeured ride home after a long, busy vacation. We have been using Newstar for years with no problems until this last trip. They used to give email confirmations the day before the trip confirming an earlier booking and giving the drivers name and contact phone number and a text on our phone from the driver when they arrived. We had a trip from SJ to SFO and return booked 2 weeks later at $120 each way. This time around we had no confirmation and the driver on the first leg was late saying he got lost on the way. This was no big deal as we had given ourselves plenty of time to get to the airport. On the return we had a 11.45am pickup and landed 20 mins early after 30 hours of flights from Africa. There were no emails or texts from newstar, I was not worried at this stage because we were early and had yet to get through immigration and customs. We cleared at 11.50 with still no contact from Newstar. I called the main office with the booking reference and they hung up on me whilst checking the booking. Managed to get through 10 mins later to be told the car was there but they could not contact the driver, said they would call back after checking another car. I called again after 5 mins and was told they could not contact that driver as well and told me to take a taxi. I responded that I did not want to take a taxi as that costs $200 from SFO and asked if they would pay for that. Was told they would not charge me the $120 and as this was an accident they had no responsibility!! I let them know this was not an accident it was bad execution and they should cover the difference as I had a confirmed booking. The response was I could use Uber instead!!! So in the end after 20 mins of delay at SFO I ended up getting a taxi which cost me $80 more than a limo. Beware of Newstar their service has gone downhill, they are unreliable and will leave you hanging with no information and take no responsibility after a no show. There are plenty of other limo services out there who are more reliable. read more

The vehicle itself was very nice, new & clean. The driver, interaction, and overall experience was one of the worst for a professional service. Driver barely spoke to me, was not adept at the car features/functions, drove fast, stopped short, unsafe lane changes, took phone calls, belched several times and had to open the window to "air out". Overall was more pre-occupied with other things of the day than driving. Was more stressful than relaxing.... I took Uber home. read more

We used this service for the first time to go to the Grand View restaurant on Mt. Hamilton Road, so as not to have to drive down the mountain road after drinking. Harry was extremely helpful and responsive as I was making last minute arrangements from overseas. The town car was new, clean and comfortable. Our driver, Singh, was very polite, professional and competent as he negotiated the dark, mountain road to and from the restaurant...and we appreciated his dry sense of humor. The four of us had a wonderful evening at the restaurant, greatly enhanced by the service provided by Singh and New Star (and not having to worry about how much any of us drank at the restaurant).
