We ordered California rolls as appetizers, which were good but they never give enough ginger or wasabi! I ordered the tangerine beef, with egg drop soup, both were very good; only problem was the tangerine beef came out more line beef with broccoli, I mentioned this and they took my plate and it came back looking more like the menu pic. This is my go to spot, this is up the road from my house. We come here probably once a week or so for take out or dine in. Since the new owner took over the service has been better and he anyways remembers us and same with most of the staff. He is such a nice man and the staff is nice as well. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal. I love sushi and thats typically my go to but sometimes I do get other dishes. My husband likes getting the Chinese food and sometimes the Thai or hibachi and I like eating the veggies from his plate. Very good convenient location for us. We came here the other day and we were about to only people in the restaurant. We sat at the hibachi table where we were the only ones, but they started to cook for us immediately. This was my second visit. First visit here was last December for takeout, and the food was good for a fusion place. Stopped by this evening to eat in and it was a completely different experience. 1. Dirty - Booth and table felt grimy, there were splashes all over the wall, cobwebs on the light fixtures above. 2. Limited menu - There were more Thai options last time; this time there were maybe 5 Thai dishes (standard stuff like pad thai, massaman curry, etc.) 3. Whatever was on my plate was NOT pad thai. It was overcooked rice noodles soaking in watery Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce. I sent it back; the waiter looked confused when I asked them to take it off the bill. Verdict: Plenty of attention is being paid to the new hibachi grill, but the rest of the restaurant is languishing. Avoid anything that isn't cooked--the sushi may be fresh but all the grime around it is just a cross-contamination nightmare. If Pacific Spice insists on continuing to serve Thai food, then make it correctly. There's a Publix next door that sells pad thai sauce if your cook can't figure out how to make it from scratch. (Free hint: tamarind paste and fish sauce for the base, y'all.) Or just please stop. Take the Thai food off the menu. It wasn't even mediocre, it was just plain bad. read more

It started with my children being offered a piece of candy while we waited for our hibachi table and again at the end of our visit.....then we had the pleasure of meeting Mega "Million." Mega helped serve us, along with a few others. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! She has an amazing personality, she learned the names of my family, she found out my son was upset about something and instantly wanted to make him happy, for only a smile in return! Horribly mis-reviewed restaurant. I only came to yelp to see what time they open but I'm not sure why the rating is so low. Me and my family's eat here frequently and the service and food are always fantastic. Hibachi, sushi and Chinese food are great, I haven't had the Thai, it occasionally takes a little time but only when they are busy and the servers always do a really good job. A friend and I visited for lunch. I try to be fair in my reviews and always point out the positive things about the place I visited. I found none here. As we entered the air smelled old and like used cooking oil. The table at our booth and menus were sticky. There was food splattered on the wall next to us and many light bulbs were burned out. After reading some of the reviews here I expected to have a great lunch but we couldn't stay (didn't want to breathe in that stale air any longer). Not much seasoning, the vegetables (also underseasoned) were over-cooked, the shrimp rubbery. The staff was attentive and friendly. The ambience is fine. It's just the food. Very average. Update -- Book club was held at that friend's house, and where did she arrange for us to go to lunch?! You guessed it. I have to say, lunch was better than dinner by a longshot.
