The best fish & chips in th area. Melts in the mouth, and a far cry better than the new Halibut House. Wrapped in paper, as it should be.

One of the best Fish & Chip places in Toronto. The interior looks like an old greasy spoon but I always get takeout.

Delicious fish & chips at a very reasonable price! Portions are a good size, especially the amount of chips.

If I could eat only one thing for the rest of my life, their fish and onion rings would be it.

Portions are generous and the coleslaw and fries are amazing and complete the fish so well. I can eat just a plateful of their fries. Service is great, all the servers are so incredibly nice and friendly. It is always packed at lunch & dinner. Def a local favourite because everyone there knows each other. We tried the haddock, halibut and breaded shrimp! I wish I could have shared more photos, but when the plates are brought to the table I can't resist digging in right away! The menu options are great where you can get 3 pieces of haddock or halibut with 2 orders of fries. Lots of parking and plenty of seating inside. Takeout orders are 5% off. The menu is great with so many options! We first tried Joy's 6 weeks ago - we have been back almost every week since our first visit. When it's time to pay they give you a scratch card with your receipt - everyone is a winner. To redeem the card, spend $35 on your next visit for the free item. Some of the items you can scratch and win are , haddock & fries, halibut & fries, Joys feast special, large plate of fries. I'm sure there are more as these are just the items we have won. Options for fish and chips are very limited in Markham, so I love the option of visiting Stouffville nearby for Joy's Fish & Chips. Until next time...

Perhaps we'll try dine-in next time. Quite spacious in the restaurant with good parking outside. Fairly pleasant service. You get a bit of a discount if you pay by cash.

Calamari Dinner ($19) + 1 piece Crab Cake ($4). 2. Haddock Dinner ($19). Dinners come with two pieces of fish, fries, Tartar Sauce, and Creamy Coleslaw. The Calamari was good. The Crab Cake was acceptable (not as flavourful as other Crab Cakes I've had). There are a few slices of deep-fried jalapeno included. The Coleslaw was ok. The Haddock and Fries were good. The Tartare sauce was acceptable. The Coleslaw was ok. There is an open kitchen. There is indoor seating and a small counter seating. The vibe is of the 1960s, with the majority of the decorations dedicated to The Beatles. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are two gender-neutral washrooms downstairs, so they are not wheelchair accessible; you need to ask for a key. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. There is one high chair for little children. Review 2025-049

It's an order at front and casual sit down place. We got the Montreal poutine. Disclaimer, this was my first time having poutine. The smoked meat reminds me of corned beef, the fried were medium thickness rustic and fried well, the gravy is salty but more watery that I expected, and the cheese curds were adequate. Overall expected poutine to be creamier and more savoury, turned to be salty. But the portion for small was quite adequate

Delicious haddock at Fresco's - can't wait to get back to try even more menu items. The best that I've had in a long time.
