Now, the real standout: the Hot Honey Roasted Brussels. Those were done to perfection. Crisp on the outside, tender inside, with just the right touch of sweetness and heat. Frankly, I could eat those daily without a second thought. Service deserves a nod, too. The chef stopped by the table to check in, which we were not expecting. Payton, our server, had a great read on the table, attentive when needed, but gave us the space to enjoy the evening without interruption. Nice space, prime meat, good sandwiches and good service. We had lunch there yesterday ordered a couple of beef sandwiches and Mac/cheese. All were good but the beef was a little chewy. Owner: Please get that head banging loud music out of there. This may serve your cooks well but not your customers. The profile of a headbanger and a $20 sandwich is not the same. So loud we couldn't have a conversation across the table. We asked the waitperson to lower the music and she did but the volume crept back up before the end of our meal. This was my 4th visit and if the music is that loud again we will turn around and walk out. Grabbed lunch from here a couple of times and enjoyed it! First, parking is easy because there' s a big parking lot outside. Whenever we've come for lunch, there have been plenty of open spots. Inside, I was immediately captivated by the large selection of rubs, prepared meals, and different cuts of meat. Everything looked very high quality (I was very tempted to get a couple of steaks!) but I ended up opting to try the $12 lunch special :) There were quite a few options - I was particularly intrigued by the classic beef sandwich and the chicken pesto sandwich, so I tried the beef sandwich first and then came back to get the chicken pesto another day. The beef sandwich was definitely tasty but it was basically beef stew in sandwich form, which surprised me a bit :) The chicken pesto sandwich was more my vibe and had a really tasty aioli. The employees were really nice and helpful each time we came. There's also a wine bar but 11 AM is a little early for me to have a drink, so I passed on that :) The wine selection looked pretty decent and they had a few beers on tap as well. Stopped into this lovely little shop and was very impressed. It didn't disappoint at all. They are open 7 days a week and have a large time frame of open hours. You walk in and have a little self-type market area and immediately to the right there are refrigerators with prepared meals to buy and take home. Straight after the Shelf section there is the butcher shop with all cuts of meats. I liked the concept where you could even pick your meats and have the chef cook them there for you and you can dine in! They also had an area for dining in and sitting at a bar. The bar had many choices of drinks and a wine section in the back to the side. There was a patio area as well. I decided to have some lunch so I got the salmon BLT which was delicious and I got the side of hot honey brussel sprouts. I ordered some lasagna to take home for a meal later. The salmon was cooked perfectly at a medium temperature and the flavoring was great. The brussel sprouts had just enough kick to them and was a great portion size for two or more. The lasagna was good and also a good size but it is a little bit spicy so if you dont like spice be prepared for a little tiny bit. All was delish.The pricing for everything is on point and not too expensive. They also have specials most of the days of the week! Fun specialty artisanal grocery shop, butcher, wine store, bar, restaurant, with tables and sports tv. Highly recommend the steak plate (got the prime filet with the most incredible mac and cheese)! Started with the carne asada appetizer that comes with an incredible jalapeño/corn Caesar salad that literally was so good we were licking our plate. Portioning for the appetizer is like a lunch plate. We also got a burger (good!) and the best carrots we've had in a long time!!! Hot honey, peppercorn, ricotta roasted carrots-- literally out of this world. Wine options were really good, fair prices, and we took home a beef stroganoff from the grab and go for dinner tmrw (plus had leftovers from all the food). My husband and I came in for a weeknight date night and were blown away! All of our food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We shared the burnt ends appetizer which was flavorful and well portioned, and I actually really enjoyed the coleslaw. The fact they do meat AND sides well shows they're very well-rounded. I had the sliced steak sandwich which was excellent and could be a good lunch option since the size isn't huge. My husband enjoyed his steak and frites. Next time we'll be back for seafood! Our servers were very nice and happy to offer suggestions. We also brought home some chicken since they have all fresh meats and I could tell the quality difference for sure. Went to the Ny Butcher Shoppe as part of a Ladies luncheon group. I had a beef sandwich and Vampire fries. Not only is this a luncheon & dinner spot but they also have wine & prime cuts of meat for sale. In the refrigerated cases they have ready to go food items in various serving sizes and they were reasonably priced. We were given an explanation when we arrived who explained his background & the franchises around the country. Very interesting shoppe & easiest way to find shop is head down Chapel Hill Road before you get to N. Maynard (near the Lowe's Hardware). My food was very good and did not take very long considering that we were a group of 28. If you are into wine, they have bottles for sale as well as purchase by the glass. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that reviews are only as good the reviewer's experience with the type of subject being reviewed. That said, I'm 72, I worked my way thru a NYC college in a restaurant, cooking is my hobby and Italian is my specialty being married to one. The bad: First, the prepared meals are awful. Not just so-so. Awful. Veal and chicken dishes are made from ground meat and the patties contain more bread crumbs than protein. For that, alone, they get one star. I could barely swallow the chicken parm because it tasted so funky. The gnocchi was very bland and dry. The veal parm tasted a little better than the chicken, but it was also ground with more than breading than veal. My friend bought several meals and the special which contained brisket. She told me that the brisket was tough and dry and agreed with me regarding the prepared foods. The good: The meat and fish in the display case looks good, but the pricing is prohibitive for anyone not earning over $100k per year with no spouse and kids. Real eye-opening prices, like $50 for one steak. True, it would cost more than that at a fancy steakhouse, but at least you get atmosphere along with a meal. You can select what you want from the case and for an additional $15 they will cook it for you. Don't be fooled by the name. This is not a restaurant and doesn't have atmosphere. They do, however, have lots of wine and a nice wine bar, but since I don't drink, I can't comment on the quality of the wine. The desserts were good. They DO have hard to find meat. I can't find sliced veal scaloppini anywhere but here. They even carry boar. I will only go back if I'm desperate for veal. read more

I had the steak sandwich while my bride tried the burger, we shared the voo doo fries, and both had the aRaleigh Brewing wheat beer from tap. All were five star as was the service. Took home cheese and parsley Italian Sausage for a pepper,onion and potato bake. Best sausage we have had in a long time. On the wine side , wine is sold at retail, and served with no corkage fee.
