I wouldn't have left a review but multiple things happened. The first being my sandwich had mold in it and I didn't realize until I took a bite of it. We tried to get our waitresses attention and it required us to raise our hands and leave it there because we weren't being checked on. They offered to make me a new sandwich after I just asked for new bread (which was great). Everyone was done eating by the time it was made for me (a breakfast sandwich). For checkout, they charge you an 18% service fee and then ask you for a tip. That seemed very odd to me. I asked for at least a discount for the mold and wait and they decided to grant me a 10% discount on only the sandwich (i got smoked sausage added to my sandwich which was a little over $3 and that wasn't part of the discount, only the base price of the sandwich), so the discount was about 90 cents off. Wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately. read more

This place is close to where I work so I figured we would give it a try. It a typical diner with a broad menu. What we got was good but nothing special. Other than the grits they stole the show! Food is good, and good value most of the time, especially the breakfast. I used to go once a week with a work friend. That said, the service pretty much stinks now and I can't go in the AM because of how long it takes, unless I order to go head of time. It has routinely taken 10 mins to get coffee in an empty restaurant, unless the manager is there. Go if you have time, it's a decent breakfast... but don't expect the servers sitting on stools, staring at their phones, to give decent service. read more

This is a nice alternative to some of the other crowded places to eat on Albermarle Rd. I had breakfast here twice, once was dine in and the other time was to go. The food is good, the inside can use some upgrades but once people start going here hopefully they spruce the place up a bit. They just opened up not too long ago. I will say it's a few weeks old. Give them a shot it's not bad. It's been a while since I left a review on this place. It's March 28th 2017 and I stopped in for the breakfast special and it was well worth it. I decided to try this place because well I haven't tried it and it's near my office. I ordered the Western Omelet with home fries and wheat toast to go. I get to my office and the food is piping hot but the toast is soggy due to the steam and them wrapping in aluminum foil. I dig in to the Omelet and nowhere to be found in the land of styrofoam and overcooked eggs is cheese. I thought: "this must be a mistake" so I called to verify and the person answered the phone and verified that the Omelet does not come with cheese. Like who in the heck makes omelettes without cheese?! The homefries were just ok. Needed ketchup or some salt. I'm disappointed because it's too late for me to return or reorder :( read more

This place was very interesting! I have passed by this place numerous times. It's never busy, I hardly see cars parked here. My husband said it was good and we should go so I could try it. I'm a huge fan of breakfast! It's my favorite. I was able to order what I wanted and it all came out amazing. I have a hard time finding a restaurant that makes great grits. Apparently it's a difficult thing to come by. This place makes some tasty grits. I ordered the silver omelette and my husband ordered the French toast with powdered sugar. The food took a long while to make and the soda was flat. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. We were the only ones eating there at the time, so it was odd. Three people were working. I really enjoyed the sausage and the grits. The waffle and eggs were just ok. The eggs looked more like an omelette than scrambled and the cheese was on top and not mixed in. The waitress was nice but was very distracted. My silverware, although wrapped, was touching the table. For a germophobe like me, that's a no-no. It even took a long time when we were paying lol. I thought this was like a Mexican restaurant. There was really not much Mexican about it, other than the people who worked there. They had breakfast and burgers and sandwiches. The first thing that I noticed is that the booth seats were ripped and in bad repair. The restaurant is dated and needs some updating. With that said, it had a great sanitation score and a decent ambiance. My omelet and hash browns were okay. Just okay. Overall, this place was solid and had a lot of character. The service was really slow, unfortunately. Whenever we wanted drink refills or the bill, we had to stand up and wave down the server. This is our fourth time here and this place still surprises us. We entered and were immediately greeted and advised to sit wherever. Within seconds, our favorite silver diner employee (Ash) brings my husband a coke and me a coffee without us ordering because every time we come, that's what we order. She brings a small town feel to the area and it's simply refreshing and much appreciated. Food is great but Ash makes the experience memorable. read more
