Stopped here because it's a DDD which means Guy Fieri ate here. We stopped for breakfast because it was open early. I had corned beef hash and bacon. Bf had a spinach and feta omelette with home fries and a biscuit. He's a chef and very picky about eating breakfast out but was very satisfied with this one but he did add mushrooms to the omelette. The corned beef hash was cooked wonderfully. Bacon was ok, not candied bacon but it wasn't the overcooked wrinkly kind either so somewhere in the middle bacon lol. Service was average. The aura is a diner atmosphere.

The last time I was here was probably in 1982 or 83. I lived off Shamrock and I was a regular here, especially for breakfast. Back then, it was THE hotspot for breakfast and late night food. I was in the area and decided to drop in for breakfast. It's changed a lot. It's still good but not quite the level it was in the 80's that I remember. I wanted the salmon omelette but my waitress said they were out of it so I was disappointed but settled for the liver mush with over easy eggs, grits and toast with coffee. The liver mush gave me indigestion. Everything else was good and the coffee was especially good. My waitress was real nice, she was all: honey and darlin this and that but she was slow. Especially on the coffee refills. I had to ask for a spoon to stir my coffee.

Server was very nice. She took our drink order almost as soon as we sat down. The restraunt is very casual. There is a picture of Guy from triple D on the wall. They serve breakfast all day long. This was a breakfast night. The food came quickly. The French toast was thick. It was at least an inch thick. The eggs were loaded with ham and vegetables. If you want a challenge, try to get out of the restraunt without dessert. All of their desserts are made in house. Some of the cakes are 6 inches high. This is a must return restraunt.

This is a diner located off of Central Avenue. It's a staple for Charlotte as it is one of the oldest restaurants here. The prices are reasonable in the staff are friendly. The decor gives you a nice diner feel they haven't really updated the decor since they probably opened. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. I decided to go with the French toast, which was okay. They have a wide variety of food on the menu. Hope you enjoy..

Visiting this Evening for Dinner - Saturday - 9 November 2024; - Went with the Saturday Night Special; - The Pot Roast was excellent! - Melted in my mouth. Mashed Potatoes were exceptional and I really enjoyed the Salad. Overall the portions were "Long Island Large" - Thank You for that! - Highlight of the evening was our Waiter - "Mike" - He was truly a Gentleman and was on point the whole evening; Thank you for ensuring that our glasses were always filled and we got everything we needed. Service was truly great! - Cool Vibe - Liked the Pastry Counter - The Landmark Diner was suggested to me by a great friend and one of my Patients/Chalotte Police Officer said they were great! Enjoyed!

We ordered a variety of food. The potato salad was good. The chicken livers were good. Both chicken dishes were good. The meatballs for the spaghetti was good. The noodles were OK not the child face turkey sandwich was said to be good. The strawberry cheesecake was said to be delicious.

We rarely get to this side of Charlotte, but when we do, a trip to the Landmark is a must! We arrived at 3:45 and ordered off of the lunch menu. I chose the turkey with mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and we shared a bowl of French onion soup. Everything arrived quickly and was delicious. The portions are huge and enough for us to share with our 6 year old. My husband is a picky burger fan and he loved the burger. Service was excellent. We will be back!

Don't Do It! Food and service was so terrible that it was almost comical. Scrambled eggs were two eggs over easy chopped up after cooking and placed on three slices of cheese fresh from the freeze. Fish and shrimp plate had to be returned after one bite. Old grease and horrible smell.

I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. Not everyone in the restaurant treated them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. Here's the detail of our order from their menu. GRAVY TRAIN mini biscuits with samples of our gravies: sausage, mushroom, and smoked gouda mornay 9.25 FRIED GREEN TOMATOES O hand-breaded and served with ranch or pimento cheese (+1) 8.5 CHICK 'N DITCH THE WAFFLE we've ditched the waffle and replaced it with our biscuit-style french toast with a buttermilk fried chicken breast and Mike's Hot Honey 13.25 THE G.O.A.T. buttermilk fried chicken breast, sweet pepper jelly, goat cheese 12.25 DARK & SPICY BLOODY MARY poblano-tomato mix, vodka, garnish 11.25 (Overpriced and underwhelming)

The waitress recommended the mimosa carafe since we were both ordering mimosas. They have the juice and champagne separate, and it's more than enough champagne. We were given more juice, too. We ordered the omelette. I added onions, peppers, smoked Gouda, and bacon to it. The Gouda set it off. It was delicious but could use more cheese on top or something. TN potatoes were flavorful and crispy enough. The toast was standard. My fiancé ordered the WWIII with chicken thigh. The waffle was okay. Nothing special, and the chicken was seasoned almost too much but was pretty good. Both paired well with the syrup. The music was great. Explicit but it was like they took my Spotify playlist and put in on the speaker. The waitress was fine. Wish she would've told us how much the mimosa carafe cost when she suggested it, but it was worth it. If we are in town again, we may go back.
