I heard about this spot after seeing the amazing marketing via social media, primarily Facebook. The professional quality had me curious. Finally decided to check it out. I was a bit overwhelmed because it was my first time here and first experience with Halal food but after seeing reviews, it seemed the Manhattan Mix was the way to go. I added in cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. My boyfriend decided on the "Times Square" burger and cheese fries. Also, we ordered to-go instead of dining in. Food took maybe 5-10 minutes. Bearable. The cheese fries were okay. Nothing spectacular. The burger was great according to my boyfriend. After my first few bites of my Manhattan Mix, I was hooked! The food tasted very fresh and flavorful. The white sauce is very subtle in flavor, but definitely adds a new note to the mix. I will say, however, there's a lot of rice in the platter. Overall, I will be returning. After eating I didn't feel bloated or anything. I still have about half that will be for lunch (if it lasts through the night). read more

A GEM in Arlington! This is always my go to spot in Arlington for Halal food and it's way better than Halal Guys in my opinion. I get the chicken over rice with curly fries and they don't hold back on the portion either. I also love that they offer a 10% student discount since it's right next to UTA AND they have a reward system so you can get a free bowl or a drink if you have enough points. This is my second time here, but I can say I love this place already! From fast service to great food they cover it all! Me and my friend almost got the hells kitchen tonight but the cashier let us try the sauce and it was super spicy so beware! So we just got the Manhattan platter with all veggies instead! I decided to come here because i wanted to try something different. I seen the reviews on here and thought it was worth a shot. This place was exactly what my tastebuds were calling for. I had Jackson Heights. It was so flavorful with the added jalapenos and tomato. The rice was seasoned well and it was medium spicy. My bf had the Manhattan mix plate. He really enjoyed it. It was our first time trying gyro meat as well so it was a great experience. The main platter alone will fill you up. We also ordered the garlic fries but they weren't anything special. Wish I could give less than 1 star. First, they gave our food to the wrong people. When we realized that they did that, they went to the back to give us what we ordered. One of the chefs in the back came out saying he just remade our food and apologized and only offered to simply pack away our food. We asked if they could compensate for the mistake and the manager came out and gave us a lot of attitude. Instead of being apologetic or even being open to hearing our issue, he came to us irritated right off the back and complained that we were making a complaint. I've been coming here for 3 years and was very disappointed by how I was treated tonight. I drove 30 minutes to pick up two orders which I had called in over the phone. But when I got home and checked my order, they had gotten one of them wrong. When I checked my ticket it was wrong on there as well. When I called it in and spoke to the manager, she refused to resolve the issue in any way shape or form and said "We followed what was on the ticket" but refused to acknowledge the fact that they wrote the ticket incorrectly. The most I expected was a free meal voucher for their error. It's very disappointing they have such an incompetent manager employed at their location who could not resolve an issue as simple as this. Unfortunately I do not think I will be giving them my business in the future. Tldr; if NY Eats writes your ticket incorrectly and gives you the wrong order, too bad. Our food was pretty good, we ordered a jalapeño mushroom burger and the Manhattan plate, along with a large fry. We ordered this food to-go, but the wait was pretty long. It also smells kind of gross (like sewage-ish) in the restaurant and it isn't the cleanest (not to offend anyone). This restaurant has great potential, it's just lacking. Ive always been treated nicely here...until they hired a girl named Danica. For one, i came up to the register and there was this dead silence i had to break because she didn't even greet me, she just stood there looking at me walk through the door. I ordered a gyro wrap. She said, "you want falafel?" Originally i said yes because maybe they started adding it to their gyros. So i decided to ask, "does the gyro come with falafel?" A simple question in which she rudely responds, "I JUST ASKED YOU IF YOU WANTED FALAFEL.....no, it's 40 cents." Once my order was ready, i asked for some white sauce. I said thank you, but She never responded or said anything again after calling me up for order. During the whole experience she made it seem like i was bothering her just being there. Not sure how this place got such high ratings. I actually felt sick after I ate here. When we arrived, it wasn't very busy. We ordered right away and sat down at a booth. I noticed immediately the place was not too well kept. There were foot prints all over the seats and tables didn't seem like they had been wiped down. Now on to the food. Not a bad munchie spot for those late night chicken and rice cravings. It's no halal bro's, but it definitely hits the spot. This place is also extremely close to UTA, so if you have a decent break in between clases or just finished for the day and realized you haven't eaten in 8 hours, I'd say stop by and check it out. The portion sizes are pretty decent but smaller than what I seem to typically find getting similar plates at other establishments, and their white and red sauce seem rather dull too. That doesn't mean that they are bad, I'm just saying you've probably had better. So what is the selling point you ask? Two words, garlic fries. These garlic fries were so good I had to talk myself down from picking up the pan and licking it clean in front of anyone who dared look my direction. These smaller cut fries are soaked in a salty, buttery, garlicy, sawce that you are going to want to rub onto your skin like lotion. Supplement these in your dish instead of the regular fries it typically comes with and turn that 6/7 dish to a 8/9. PS: For my spicy squad, if you like spicy food try the really spicy dish (Don't forget garlic fries.)I forgot the name of it but it looks super intimidating and even comes with a disclaimer. Of course happy as a lark with my Togo order I walked right in to the mess. I pretty much flew in the air landed and slid down the ende of the walk way. The two gentlemen sitting out side chatting asked if I was ok. I said yes as I stumbled to my feet. They pointed out that an item (my keys) were a few feet away. I said it's my keys trust me I'm not going anywhere without them. Back inside I head so they can tend to my bleeding wounds and my food mess in the bag. Well as I was inside I was told that was the owner out side. THE FREAKING OWNER DIDNT GET UP!! DIDNT CARE. While I was inside I pretty much had to lead the way in helping me as they didnt care. A gentleman began cleaning the mess and did not put out a caution sign until he was done cleaning. A freaking I'm sorry heres your money back would have been nice. Good place for a late night meal for UTA students. It's a good alternative to Halal Guys in Dallas! I don't really crave halal food.. but when I do.. I always end up here. My little and I both got the Manhattan Mix, and it was so delicious. I'm glad I saved some leftovers because I was really craving it the next day too haha. I loved the rice and the meat in the Manhattan Mix. It also came with pita pieces as well! One thing I wasn't a big fan of was the falafel. It was kind of dry, but the plate came with ~3 pieces so it didn't ruin my meal overall. They gave us ample white sauce and a couple of red packages as well. I like it when restaurants don't skimp out on the sauce :) The restaurant is somewhat small, only a couple of tables for small tops. Not ideal for big parties, but that's because a majority of their orders are to-go. I seriously want to come back to try their new plate, Jackson Heights, and their fries too! read more

This halal guys knock off is open conveniently late and hosts a large population of uta students. The Gyro meat is juicy & flavorful. you can have your platter with rice or salad and adorned with crispy fries if you like. My only complaint was that the rice was a bit on the greasy side and they covered the salad with hot meats and rice. As much as I would love to speak eloquently about the best halal joint in the Metroplex, they can't get a to go order on Uber eats straight to save their lives. I have had unreal, better than NY halal from here when they got my order right. Once. It's actually a testament to the quality of their food that I'm OK with them leaving out the extra sauce. What I can't stand is when I order halal with gyro and falafel and I get chicken. I've also gotten a halal with no meat and not even any falafel. Their saving grace is that I order it delivered from a 3rd party from an app on my phone, and I like to drink. What was nice about this place is the variety of veggies you can add to your meal. Also sauces are on every table so you can make it rain to your satisfaction.
