My husband, mother-in-law, and I all got the spaghetti and Cesar Salad. I really enjoyed both my dishes, however, they did like the spaghetti at all. I also thought that the homemade bread was very yummy with sprinkle parm and perhaps basil. The service was quick and the ambiance there is casual and inviting. The location is in downtown Waynesboro and they seem to pretty busy during lunch and dinner hours. I really loved my dishes and would get them again!! I will say parking could be tricky during those peak hours, so just keep that in mind. read more

I decided to try this place for a takeout sub. I got the large NY Deluxe sub. A friend and I took it up to Sunset Park. We both really liked the sandwich. It was big, loaded with meat, peppers, black olives, red onions. The bread was nice and soft. I would absolutely try another sandwich from NYFP. read more

Food is average. Pizza is a little to greasy for my likings. The prices were a little high for what you get. I've ordered online twice and waited way longer than the expected time it will take to be done, and it was not ready either time. Do not. Under any circumstance. Order a pizza online from this restaurant. It makes you download he Slice App. You will spend 4 hours being lied to by someone that says your pizza is on the way. Now let's get on with the food to which was beyond awful, the food was cold and completely tasteless , we order a buffalo spiced pizza, tasteless, to which I still believe was a frozen boxed pizza. Order some subs too, awful Fellas you got to try and get your act together, we gave you the second chance and we will never come here again, promise you that. I have never been so repulsed by a place of business as much as I am right now nor have I ever shared anything on social media like I am about to or rated a restaurant. For 5 close to six years my daughter could not eat anything without getting sick. Finally having surgery to remove her gallbladder, the organ which caused her such discomfort after eating, she is able to eat most things without feeling or getting sick. This is such a celebration. She was hungry and we went to NY Flying Pizza in Waynesboro. We ordered garlic breadsticks and a pizza half cheese half pepperoni. Breadsticks were ready they were sitting at the window, the ever so unfriendly waitress went to the window with three... 3 plates, mind you it was myself and my daughter. The unfriendly waitress walked over to the window took a breadstick off the tray placed it on a plate, pushed the plate back on the ledge, then brought the breadsticks to the table. She then walked back toward the window, rinsed her fingers off grabbed the plate with the one singular breadstick from our order, walked over to a table sat down and ate it. Leaving zero tip and shared the breadstick from our order was tip enough. Never again!! Too bad I can rate with a zero star option! Absolutely disgusting!! read more

Only Pepsi products and a glass of water comes with lemon without asking so just get the wine! Grated Parmesan is The Real Thing and as such clumps in the jar. So Worth taking the lid off and loosening it with an unused utensil-I used my knife. The flavor totally exceeds anything else I've had. Pizza slice is terrific: crust is thin and crisp and the sauce is tangy without being overbearing. The cheese knocks it out of the park. Just look out for the special pricing however. Pretty disappointed! Ordered take out and order was projected to take about an hour, which is fine but when I arrived at the hour mark the order was not ready. Not a big deal except parts of the order were ready and given to me in parts as I sat and waited. So I had 2 pizza's, an order of ravioli and 2 salads handed to me while waiting on an order of garlic cheese bread. Roughly 10 min went by and I received the garlic bread and headed home. I only live about a quarter of a mile from the restaurant so not a long journey. All the hot food was cold. One of the pizzas was missing the topping I ordered. I've worked in restaurants for many years and try to give people grace but they were not busy, 2 tables in the restaurant and a couple of to go orders. read more

Ordered carry out. Was told to be there in 20 minutes. Showed up at 25 minutes and still had to wait another 20 minutes for food to be completed. Ordered a Philly cheese steak Stromboli with extra cheese and mushrooms. Didn't check the order until I got home. Received what looks like a small Philly cheese pizza with very little cheese and no mushrooms. If I could give a negative or lower rating I would. Seems like every time we order from there, something is inevitably incorrect. I should have checked the order before leaving restaurant, but really shouldn't have to. This is a newish place in Waynesboro across from the high school. Several other Italian or Mediterranean places have come and gone from here. I had linguine and clams in white sauce. I think this is really a pizza and sub joint, so it was a stretch my going after the pasta. Anyway the food was well plated, clams were good, only complaint was they'd used something to thicken the sauce that took away from the bite of the sauce i'd hoped to be in place. She had a calzone or something similar and loved the sauce. So i'd go back for a pizza or sub, etc... Help was very anxious to be helpful and cheerful, it was easy to get in, casual and comfortable. Ordered dinner last night for pickup. We ordered 2 small Sicilian pizzas and a sausage hot sub with peppers and onions. When I got home I was surprised to learn that what I had gotten was two tiny deep dish pizzas that had huge crusts and almost no toppings. The pizza wasn't cut all the way through and by the time we were done cutting it was a mess with what toppings were there. The sausage sub was the next surprise, it was bread and sausage no peppers no onions and not a drop of sauce. We felt like we were ripped off. Won't ever eat here again! Terrible experience. From out of town and staying in a local hotel and was recommended this location by the front desk. I ordered a pizza for delivery and gave them my Hotel name and location. They called back to confirm location and address. Delivery should have been 30-40 mins. After 1:15 min the owner/manager called and said they don't deliver to this location after driver went to wrong hotel in neighboring town and for an extra 5$ he would come here (this after delivery fee and a tip for the driver). The one and only time my husband and I went here the food and the service was HORRIBLE. We waited for almost an hour (we were one of two occupied tables in this facility) and upon questioning our waiter they apparently failed to turn in our food order. in town tonight so I ordered a Philly Stromboli and medium cheese pizza and a 2 liter of Dr Pepper. the pizza was average, nothing special. the Stromboli was good, the only complaint I have is I ordered extra ricotta cheese, it was all piled up in the middle, but still good. Now the funny part, I paid $2.90 for a 2 liter of Dr Pepper, when I pulled it out of the bag, it was dr wham, I never even heard of this and after tasting it I know why. Decided to give NY Flying Pizza another try after 2 years of previous bad experiences. 2 takeouts and 1 dine in, excellent young male server although on 1 of the takeouts...the pizza had incorrect toppings. As recent as yesterday, order was taken by a rude woman. Observed her rudeness to a senior lady picking up takeout, and a young lad picking up an order for his grandmother. Every minute of this person was rude!! I've even heard through the grapevine....just don't go to NY Flying Pizza when the short lady is there, she runs everyone off, especially the servers. I am not haunted by any memory OF the chicken so much as I am reminded that the chicken didn't have a choice to be made into such a forgettable meal.
