We just got this pizza delivered, wow. I have never seen anything like this. We did use Uber Eats so I can't be upset that the pizza came entirely meshed and flipped sideways (already reached out to uber eats regarding that). However, regardless of the look you would still be able to taste if the pizza was good or not. It was missing sauce and was entirely dry. We are so disappointed on how gross this pizza was, not ordering from here again. If you want all bread and no sauce and dry pizza, this is the place for you. read more

This has to be the worst looking cheese steak I've ever had. The meat quality looks like it was leather peeled from an old shoe, the cheese is shreeded bag cheese from Albertsons, the steak and cheese ratio to bun must be 5:1. While it's presented like crap it doesn't taste horrible. Its edible actually. I smothered it in mayo since it had nothing on it which helped. I am sad to post this review, but I am not sure what has happened to this place. A few years ago when we moved into San Carlos, this was a yummy pizza spot and a treat we could enjoy from their chicken wings to different pizza combinations. Now it's just a gross place to eat pizza. The toppings seem overkill and often taste undercooked. The breadsticks seem stale and not even on toppings, cook, and cutting. The chicken wings, as they add on flavors they seem to lose their actual flavor. This just isn't the pizza we grew to love. It seems to have a lot of similarities to round table pizza where they are left with old dirty restaurants and sub par toppings. read more

This is the second time I have called in to ask about the pick up specials on a 16 inch pizza and they say they don't have any. So I order one, go into the store and they have their flyers on the counter and I asked the girl working you do have a special for a 16 inch for $11,99 pick up only. She says no that flyer is out of date, but it's still sitting on their counter for everybody to pick up. So I'm like OK I pay $18.00 because I'm tired and don't wanna deal with it. It's 830 at night. I came here for a slice of pizza for my son since he was hungry and he practices at the field down the street. The owner doesn't seem too friendly but I think that's just his personality although he wasn't rude or anything. A slice cost $6.50 for the meats topping. But there was a time where I got a Caesar salad and it came with carrots and olives.. and usually Caesar salads don't have those ingredients. The delivery service is fast tho. Love this place!!! Husband and wife work there together and are very nice people. The giant pizza is absolutely GIANT!!! It's so big and can feed an army of hungry people. One thing I learned about order a gyro sandwich at a pizza joint is that you probably would like to stick with the pizza. Well at least at this place you probably do not want to buy a gyro sandwich. Why you ask? Let me explain. The gyro sandwich was part of a lunch special that came with fries and $5 and some change. The gyro sandwich was not very well. To my surprise, instead of using a Greek Yogurt or "Tzatziki" with chopped up cucumbers in the sauce, they used Ranch Dressing. Not only that, they slathered a huge glob right onto the pita which made it mushy at the bottom by the time I arrived home. To make worst, I am one of those few people who loathes Ranch Dressing. Not fan of it. So you can imagine when I came to the conclusion that I had to throw the gyro sandwich away, not particularly because they used Ranch, but because they used so much of it that it was inedible. The super amount of Ranch Dressing is not the only thing that ruin the gyro sandwich, but the gryo meat itself was not something to be proud of. It certainly was not those thin abundant tender slices of the vertical spinner, but these rectangular pieces of gyro certainly were different. At any rate, I truly believe, if your are not going to do it right, don't do it all. Stick with what you are good at e.i. pizzas and calzones... read more

We have been eating here for years. They give discounts for our school events. The pizza is usually delicious. We always go back because the salad dressing is literally addictive!! It is one of the only places I had ever paid $1.50 for an extra side of dressing a decade ago... I continue to pay for the dressing it's homemade and is literally the best! Bait and switch. Saw an ad on the freeway exit for reasonably priced pizza. Went ahead and called knowing the pizza was probably mediocre but good priced pizza is hard to come by. Ordered my pizza, saw the price for $16 and left a tip. Got my Apple Pay notification and it was for 34.00 What the heck!! I ordered a large pineapple, olive and mushroom pizza. When I called he said oh no no, it wasn't 16. That was the starting price and every topping after that (3) was $4.00 I'm baffled. The pizza was thin, toppings were a little more than sparse. When my wife and I first moved to San Diego in 2010 we spent a lot of time trying to find actual NY style pizza. A lot of places claim to be NY style but then they bring out thick soggy pizza. If you like big slices with a thin crispy crust this is the best in Southern California. We use to go at least once a week and the owner, Mike, was always great to us and so was the rest of the staff. Unfortunately we live in Temecula now, but anytime we are in San Diego, we will go out of our way to get some pizza and a Stromboli (highly recommend you get one). read more

I stopped in to grab a slice after YEARS of seeing the place and not going in. For some reason in the back of my mind, when I thought of GIANT pizza, I pictured some mediocre product whose only claim to fame was that it was big. A friend who was with me asked if they were the same company as another location on Magnolia Street that she frequented. When the fellow behind the counter said yes, she immediately said, "Oh yes, they make great food!" I saw that the menu offered quite a variety of great-sounding salads and sandwiches, before ordering a slice. Because I've never been to New York, I'm not pretending to know what makes a New York pizza special, but I have to say that slice of pizza was delicious! From the somewhat complex sauce seasoning to the perfect amount of interesting cheese and not too greasy pepperoni, I'm sold on NEW YORK style pizza from now on. The fact that the slice was nice and big, well priced and it was a pleasure to be served by the gentleman behind the counter, guarantees I will be back to buy more than a slice! Horrible customer experience. I accidentally called this branch to order Pizza. My family typically orders from the Chula Vista shop (15+ years have been buying from the Chula Vista Branch all parties, all events, graduations, family movie you name it). My mom and I pulled up to the Chula Vista Pizza shop to find out I made a mistake. I called the Spring Valley location to let them know I made a mistake with the phone numbers and apologized. The manager response "So we are just gonna waste a whole giant pizza". Restaurant Owner here habibi 1. It happens all the time that customers make mistakes on locations and phone numbers. This is not an appropriate way to respond. The best response would have been, "Thank you for letting us know it happens. Have a good night." It is actually accounted in your costs for these mistakes whether they are the customers fault or the restaurants fault. That is the reality of the food industry. 2. Everyone knows in the Restaurant buisness that any orders that have a no show or were a mistake (whether the customers or restaurants) or surplus is given to workers to take home at the end of the night. The same low income workers who work their butt off in your kitchen actually rely on those mistakes from time to time. 3. I will never order from this location based off the customer service in the future. If someone is so concerned about waste the restaurant buisness is the last place to talk about the endless waste of food. A mistake can be turned into a homeless personsnext meal if this was so concerning. I didnt say to throw it in the trash. The comment was more about a loss of profit and not about waste.
