This was a delivery order and the average rating does NOT reflect the poor delivery driver. He didn't follow instructions either & food was cold by the time he found my place. FOOD: I ordered the cashew nut order with shrimp. It was cold due to the delivery driver not following my instructions on how to get here. Nevertheless, I was able to reheat it. Interesting taste. It had a plethora of onions, baby corn, carrots and mushrooms. I personally hate baby corn but forgot to tell them to leave out. There were 7 shrimp (which is about average) but one was mangled and looked bad. The biggest disappointment was about 4 cashews in the whole entree. I also ordered the crab cream cheese (aka Crab Rangoon) and this is the reason they got 3 stars. It was different--spicy, sweet, crunchy & unique. I would recommend this one. ATMOSPHERE: I can't comment on this as it was delivery. SERVICE: poor, because I specifically requested utensils and they didn't include any, so had to go next door and borrow a fork. The Thai food craving hit the hardest during the snow storm. I was ready to be heart broken if no Uber Eats driver will pick up my order due to the weather. This was the closest Thai restaurant from my location. Set up more than 20% tip to whoever is out there in the vicinity. It was picked up by one driver but cancelled halfway to the restaurant. Which is totally fine. Then picked up by another driver but I had to wait for another 30 minutes since he's dropping off another order. The flavor profile were there and I liked that the crab Rangoon has a kick to it. I had forgotten about this nearby restaurant and hadn't eaten there in years. We tried it again recently and we were very happy that we did. Every dish was wonderful. The level 3 was pleasantly spicy, the flavors were complex and savory. Herbs and vegetables were fresh and plentiful. All ingredients were high quality and fresh. The Singapore curry noodles had six large juicy shrimp and was delicious. Their crispy pad thai was an intetesting twist, using crispy fried wonton instead of soft noodles was delicious and addictive. The staff were friendly and our take out was carefully packed. Ok here is my opinion. Food wise i rate it a 4. Service, ambiance, and staff 5 stars. Look, the food is not as good as some other Thai places here in Dallas, however it is not bad. The pad Kee maow is good but needs heat and seasoning. (Thai food should be packed with flavor but this one lacked it.) the spring rolls amazing. The garlic fried rice was awesome. The pad Thai was ok. Once again, the main entrees needed flavor. We had late lunch here and tried their Crab Meat Fried Rice and Fried Red Snapper with the side of sweet and sour sauce. Crab fried rice has real crab meat and tasted delicious. We order from time to time from this gem tucked in the corner of a nondescript shopping center and went to the restaurant for the first time in many years. It was tremendous. We started with Monkey Brain and then had several entrees. Mongolian Beef was subtly sweet and had a good heat. The Basil Beef was a surprising hit with ground beef. I had a to go order of chicken fried rice and pepper steak. I had never been to this restaurant, just passing the time waiting for a prescription from Walgreens. I visited here on a Tuesday night with a friend around 6:40. The restaurant was empty at first with only online orders, but about 15-20mins in other tables showed up and it was busier then. I ordered the pad kee mao with tofu on level 1 spicy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavor was great and I would try level 2 next time. I think their level 1 mild may mean not spicy. For 2 entrees, it was about $34 after tip and tax. Pricing seems about average for Thai restaurants in the area. Their restaurant is on the quiet side with soft music playing. My friend and I were chatting at normal restaurant volume and we got scolded by another family across the restaurant. They decided to scold us for laughing too loud and it was embarrassing. Other tables were not bothered and I wish the staff would have stood up for ur or addressed this situation. Overall food was alright and service was fast. I would come again. read more

Initial service was great, first time eating here. Recommendations by waitress were right on point and flavor was amazing. Some young people (seemed like owner or management's kids) showed up, and as I was finishing with dessert, I was already being kicked out 10 minutes before 5:00pm. I was told they were already closed when the sign read close at 10:00pm. I was waiting for the rain to calm down, but I had to walk in the rain to my car down the parking lot. Very weird. Probably not coming back. The kids were also getting after a waitress in front of customers. That is probably why they pretended to be closed. I came here at noon today to have lunch before I went to see my doctor. I came here couple of times before, but it's been awhile. It was slow, but I'm glad I came in at when I did, because it got busier. I ordered cup of Tom Kah with Tofu(they put chicken in it by mistake, but it's ok)and Basil fried rice with vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised how good food was here. I'm going to have to come here more often as Thai food is one of my favorite food followed by ramen noodles, Indian and MiddleEastern. My son and I ordered the chicken yellow curry and chicken pad thai. They were delicious! It's not a fancy thai restaurant...it appears to be a quaint family restaurant. The food came out very quick and my curry was steaming hot which made me happy. Yes, it was good quality rice served! ;) Last but not least, the service was great. The two gals running the counter and tables were constantly moving and helping customers or working. Also, a few minutes after eating...we were asked if everything was okay. One of my favorites been coming for years had to be one of the best Thai places yet!!!!!

We came to this place for Thai for its proximity. We came away with fresh cooked, flavorful, and authentic cuisine. The meats were of the tastiest cuts. The vegetables were freshly cut and cooked. There was generous amount of oil used in the cooking which made the dish very pleasant to eat. It was not dry. The fried rice had fresh eggs strewn in, with the right amount of vegetables. The Thai chili sauce was amazing. All in all, we were surprised by the quality. And the price was very fair. Overlook the shopping center it's located in, and you'll really enjoy the food. read more

Drive up is not at all what I expected! Went here for lunch and sat in the parking lot for a moment. I was pondering whether to enter or not since it looked more like an Indian restaurant. I was in the mood for Thai food. The food is Thai. The restaurant is run by a husband wife team. They are friendly and provide good customer service. I had not eaten here before so it took me a bit to look over the menu. I was glad they offered lunch prices. Unfortunately, I was charged at the dinner rate. I didn't say anything. So that's on me. I had the Thai Spicy Basil with chicken. It has 3 chili peppers next to the name on the menu. This is why I chose it from the menu. I wanted something with a bite. No bite, no jalapeños. Food was bland and I didn't want to add dry seasoning to get that bite. The spices should have already been cooked into the food. I also ordered the vegetarian spring rolls. Those were not what I expected. Not bad, but not the best I've had either. Overall, this restaurant was just ok and nothing really wow'd me. I am never disappointed with food from Jasmine. We eat there or get takeout at least once a week...sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. Such a great variety and so fresh and flavorful. Just had family in town and we all went on a Friday night...Each dish was AMAZING! Beautiful and delicious food. We've been coming here for years, but seems like things have been off recently. Our visit today was not good as well. Before we get to the food, let me just say- I felt the waiter was very rude to me. I was trying to order the "larb gai" salad. On the menu, it says "chicken or beef" (see screenshot of the online menu, which is also what the physical copy says). The conversation then goes something like this: Me: larb gai with beef please Waiter: what? 'gai' is chicken Me: no, I want larb gai with beef Waiter: *demeaningly* no. 'gai' is chicken Me: uhhh Waiter: *with an annoyed expression and furrowed brows* YOU want larb with BEEF Me: o... k...? I'm just reading the menu and it says, *I point to menu and show him* larb gai.... Then it says chicken or beef..... Waiter: look, I come from Thailand. *doesn't even look at where I'm pointing on the menu* End of conversation. Uh ok, you're Thai, I'm not. If the menu is worded wrong, then change it? I really don't need the attitude. That really ruined it for me. I then got my larb BEEF. It looked good and had good amount of meat. However as I took a bite, it was really salty. I ended up drinking all my water, but the waiter never came to refill. Couldn't finish even half of my food and took it home to repurpose. I don't remember our previous visits having really salty food like this. Although not related to this visit, my fiance's parents came here 3 weeks ago and ordered the seasonal fish, which they said came out to be $40.... Pretty crazy for 1 fish.... We were regulars of this place and probably came at least once a month. But now, we'll look for another go-to Thai place. read more

Sometimes, wishes do come true. I remember when I first went to Noodle Wave, a well known restaurant and somewhere with high prices and expectations to match. It was truly disappointing and left me wanting for one, just one, truly quality Halal Thai restaurant to fill the hole in my heart. I'm glad to say, this place is it, and somewhere me and my family intend to frequent. I have to start off with their staff. Very kind and attentive, they seated us and got our drink and appetizers into the kitchen with minutes, alongside our silverware, so we were ready for the food they gracefully served us 10 minutes after arriving. They also dropped whatever they were doing to serve us and other customers, every time, whether or not we verbally asked, and were happy to do many small things, such as chopsticks, to go containers and splitting the bill. Alone they made a 5 star experience. Nothing like the cold, melancholy workers of THAT (^^) other Thai place around here. Now talking about the food, it absolutely glows and overshadows the bland and futile attempts of certain other Thai restaurants that I've been to in the area. The pad Thai had its own flavor, and was perfectly filling, although a bit strong in the peanuts. (I don't mix my toppings for anyone wondering). The Thai spicy basil beef was tantalizing and juicy while the chili paste chicken was just enough heat and flavor to compliment one another as individual flavors. All this food arrived within 5 minutes of our appetizers, which included a delightful finger food sized Thai herbal chicken and one of the available Tom Yum soups which had a balanced spice and herbal aftertaste, neither of which attacked your throats like other versions I've tried in the DFW area. A delightful and well cooked meal all around, and more than enough for 3 fully grown males to enjoy for $60 at the end of it all. To wrap things up, I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and the only drawback is their recessed location and smaller seating area limiting the customers they can both net and serve. I'd love to see them grow, and if delivery was an option for me, I'd get it A LOT. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a late night dinner or somewhere interesting to take the family. This is a hidden gem and has become one of my favorite Thai spots in Dallas! We got the whole fried fish (sea bass) with spicy garlic sauce (spice level 3) and it was amazing!! If you've been to Sway in Austin - this was better. The sauce was soo good and the veggies paired so well with the fish, which of course was perfectly cooked. The pad Thai was also so good. We ordered the pad Thai with beef and spice level 4 which definitely was spicy but enjoyable. The service was very friendly and and ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Thieves I have been ordering the special GARLIC PRAWNS ($24) for the last 5 years. There is a change in ownership. I dined in and ordered the usual. Instead the Mexican cooks served me small shrimps. We told the Mexican waitress they served us shrimp instead of prawns and she argues with us that we were served prawns. My husband asks to see the box. She returns and shows us the box with Chinese writing. Asked her to turn the box around to see the English lettering and wow! It says WHITE SHRIMP. The shrimp dish costs $7. No apologies from her. Still argues that we were served prawns. Considering filing a class action law suit. They probably do this to all the customers. Charge for prawns but serve shrimp. read more

I was disappointed during my visit today. My family used to come here and food and service was great. i guess that was the previous management or owners. Today, I encountered a rude and condescending young female server. When we came in, I asked for a table for 6. And she immediately asked if we have a reservation. She didn't even bother to greet us when we came in. When I told her that we did not call in for a reservation, she said there is a table that she can seat us but it is reserved for 1 pm. We arrived at 12 noon. She asked if one hour would be enough for our party. I said an hour would be tight and I asked about the other vacant tables that we can push together, she kept explaining about the reserved table, how we can seat there and should be done by 1pm, and then asked us if we understand her. When she noticed that I stopped talking (because I was getting irritated) she then said we could use another table. That was weird because why would she even offer a reserved table when there was another table available in the first place. That was just the beginning. When we were ordering, we asked if we can order a whole fish. She kept interrupting us and saying that don't do that. We finally ordered and told her that we needed 6 bowls of rice. And since some of the entrees included rice, we said to just give us extra order of 4 rice. After delivering our orders, we told her we lack 1 bowl of rice. Instead of apologizing, she kept arguing that some of the entrees have rice already and we just told her to just bring us a bowl more. She was very rude and condescending. Her tone of voice made us feel not welcome. The food was not exactly great either. I have had Thai food at other places that were exemplary. But bottom line is even if the food was great I would not be coming back there because of poor customer service. I stopped by here to pickup lunch and was wowed by the atmosphere, it's lovely inside! You would never expect that in this little strip mall but no complaints here. They have killer lunch specials, I got a hefty portion of chicken pad Thai for lunch with a spring roll and side salad for under $10 and they even include the two sides to go which is rare. The lady working there was very friendly too, bonus! Unfortunately the pad thai wasn't the best I've ever had. It was flavorful but lacked spice (ordered medium spice) and was very oily. Pad Thai is my baseline for a place however, this place was so cute inside that I'm going to go back and try their curry next time around. read more
