    Pepperoni Slice x2
    Rob R.

Terrible experience all round, I would not recommend. I have been going here off and on for almost ten years and never had an experience like this. I arrived at 11, just as they opened for the day. After quickly reviewing the menu for what I want, I order 2 slices of pepperoni pizza for $6 each according to the menu. When I go to pay the bill with my card, it seems rather high for 2 slices and a soda at $20. I pay and get the receipt noticing the 2 slices came to $15.52, $7.76 per slice (weird price btw). When I enquire, I was told that the video menu board is wrong and the correct price is in the computer. Further, someone is coming soon to update the board. I'm in no mood to argue other than to say that it's a bit slimey, getting nothing in return other than a curt head nod as he walks away. To make matters worse, I then notice a special for $8.99 on a side chalk board (who knows if this price is correct or not) for a slice, salad and soda. Had I known that, I would have opted for that. You'd think that is enough, but it gets much worse, cuz the food wasn't good and the food is everything, right? After a few mins, the 2 slices come out. Clearly this was from last nite. You can see in the pic that he did a lame job of trying to cover up the old, refrigerated cheese with a bit of new cheese. And he had only warmed it enough to melt the cheese and not warm it thru. The slice was luke warm at best with a soggy crust. Not a pleasant eat at all. I finished that slice and brought the other slice home hoping I can salvage my over-priced slice in my own oven. I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation to get freshly cooked pizza when they have just opened for the day. Needless to say, I will no longer eat at this place. Terrible customer service, prices AND food. No redeeming quality worth my money.

As a NJ native (with proximity to NYC), I know good pizza, and for that, I'd give New York Pizza & Pints a solid 3.5. The pizza was better than a few other places I've visited while living in TX, so that was a plus. I also like how you can buy a slice of pizza without splurging on a whole pie if that's not what you want. (Moving to TX from the North and being unable to buy a single slice of pizza has presented its challenges #firstworldproblems). While I'm still on the hunt, this place did the job for a quick slice.

This place was really good! We grabbed garlic knots, a 14" cheese and a pepperoni jumbo slice. The knots were dense dough in a good way with a large helping of heated marinara. It was really good but could've benefited from some more garlic. The pizza had delicious puffy and chewy dough but well cooked. The service was great with attentive and helpful staff. Definitely a good option when shopping in the area.

The pies here are delicious. Get'em, fold'em, and eat'em! #boom Flavor explodes in your mouth and you're transported back to NY. The service is exemplary, whether you call for carryout or go into eat. The overall ambiance is a good ole pizza pub! Our family enjoys this restaurant and continues eat here regularly! If you haven't been here, try the pepperoni

order at the counter. They also have a book you can flip through and order by photograph of the pizza you like

Solid three,3 Starzz! I am a pizza snob. I don't eat junk. My favorite pizza in Dallas is 30 minutes from my home without traffic. So, it's a stretch to get there but I enjoy it 2 times per year. Now there are the usual suspects around and some are good. None are great close to my home. In addition, the better ones are overpriced although nice. But, sometimes I just want a good slice of pepperoni and sausage without getting a second mortgage or driving an hour. I've had New York Pizza and pints on the radar for a couple of years. Reading through the reviews Ive seen some throw out the exuberant 5 stars that proclaim" it's the best pizza I've had in my life".! Give me a break. Just eat the meal and give an objective assessment thereby helping other Yelp users. Simple. Well, I've had a deep pizza hunger lately and was out this afternoon in the 100-degree heat. Heading back home it hit me! NY Pizza and pints. Yes, cold beer and pizza in air-conditioned comfort. So I made my way to the little shop tucked in the strip center in a hard-to-find location. Entering it looked like it could be in NYC. Ok, good sign consistent with the name. After ordering at the counter I took my beer and found a nice comfortable booth to wait for my pizza. The place has great service and they bring your food to the table which is just what I needed. Usually, I'm not a paper plate fan but in this case, it worked. My wedge salad was brought out on a tray with the various ingredients in plastic cups. Actually this

Born and Raise in New York.. I was impressed with the 24" pie. This is a luxury to have a place that understands what a true regular slice is!! And the garlic knots (we say 'gawlick') were spot on. Large and dripping with seasoned oil. The dipping sauce was perfect. Then to top off the meal, as if the pizza wasn't astonishing enough, the NY cheesecake and cannoli.. I thought I was back in the Bronx. Outstanding. I'll be back soon.

Pizza as big as your head!
    Teri J.

This is actually our second time having this pizza and totally forgot about it being a gem. We ordered a 24" pepperoni pizza and that baby was HUUUUGE. Each slice was def bigger than your head. It's super thin crust, which is a personal fave. Would have given it 5 starts if the crust was just a little more crisp, but we could have easily ordered it well done and totally forgot. The cheese bread was good and the marinara sauce that accompanied it was very tasty. Only one person was working, so as business picked up and he was making pies, those in line would have to wait a few mins, but nothing crazy. Overall, this place is worth a try if you're in the area and like thin crust!

It honestly took me right back to old school Pizza Hut, that thicker, slightly greasy, cheesy in a nostalgic way kind of thing. If that's what you're after you'll probably be into it. Not fancy but it does the job. Here's my problem though. There was a metal disc left inside our pizza box, sitting right under the pie. I know kitchens get busy and stuff happens, but a chunk of metal in the box with the food we're about to eat is not something I can just laugh off. That's a safety issue. It made me wonder how carefully they're checking what actually goes out the door. Two stars for now. The pizza has potential and the nostalgia is real, but they need to fix their quality control before I order again.

The house Manhatten was delicious with subtle adjustments to the traditional recipe. The Arancina Tradizionale is a fried ball of tasty saffron rice, stuffed with Bolognese and peas. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the cheese was creamy and mild, and the pepper nicely balanced the richness with a mild spice. I ordered shrimp on the side and it was well seasoned and nicely charred. My wife had the geilled salmon and loved it. We didn't really have room for dessert, but since everything else was so good, we couldn't resist trying the Tiramisu and Strawberry panna cotta. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We didn't realize until we were ordering that they do a BOGO half off deal on entrees every Tuesday, as long as everyone orders an entree. As a result we definitely had too much food on the table but it was nice for our party of 7 to try a bunch of different things! I didn't have time to take pictures of it all, but we started with the bruschetta and the sautéed mushrooms. Bruschetta came out hot and great as usual, but the mushrooms were a bit salty. The complementary salads were nice and light and our servers were great at refilling waters and bringing out more free bread throughout the night. For our entrees, we ordered the creamy lemon shrimp pasta with spaghetti, the eggplant parm with fettuccine, the lasagna bolognese, the shrimp spezia, the tortellini bolognese (one of the specials that day), and the dolce e salato & cesarini pizzas. My favorite items of the night were the dolce e salato pizza (the sweet and savory combo was excellent and the crust was light and fluffy) and the shrimp dishes - the shrimp was cooked very well. I'm not a big red sauce person but the bologneses were also pretty good. The long noodles were a little mushy in all the sauce but the tortellini was not bad. Portion sizes were huge so we took three boxes of leftovers home! And one of the ladies at the host stand helped us take some nice group pictures outside the restaurant after our meal. For a solid local red sauce joint that will fill you up and then some, look no further!
