The toppings--lemon (on the side) and basil--are what gave it that "pho" twist, though there wasn't any actual pho in the pizza. I still appreciated the creativity and really enjoyed the flavor! The crust is on the thinner side, and they don't offer rising crust or deep-dish options, which I personally prefer. This has to be the most unclean unhealthy place I've ever been to. The pizza man has no hat no apron was on his phone doesn't wash his hands. The oven guy same thing no hat no gloves. Was sweeping while handling pizza. It was truly disgusting. I will be reporting them to Allen health dept. I usually do not do this but this was really nasty. Pizza lacked flavor. Dough was hard dry. The most important part of a pizza in my opinion is the crust and this was the worst part of this pizza. It really had a home made feeling in a bit good way. It was flat and so basic. Horrible experience with them tonight. I had been a HUGE advocate for Zalat--they have something for everyone! Vegan cheese, all beef pepperoni, and gluten-free crust that tastes like the real thing... until tonight. After my interaction I'm not sure we will be visiting this establishment again. I ordered a GF pizza as per usual, only the crust I received tonight is sad and flat, like cardboard. I thought that perhaps I got the wrong order, or maybe, to my disappointment, they changed their crust (it happens, that's life), but I wanted to know. I called, and the person on the phone kept insisting they hadn't changed their crust. So why did it look so different? I just wanted to know if this was the new expectation going forward so I could weigh my pizza options in the future. He was acting as if I was unfounded and crazy for even insisting that it was changed, and eventually that he didn't know what to suggest and was "sorry I was unsatisfied." I knew I couldn't be dreaming; the crust I would get would sink perfectly into their srirancha sauce and have me in blissful disbelief that I was eating gluten-free pizza. This new crust was just... sad. What every generic gluten-free pizza option typically looks like. More so I was worried that, if they didn't change their pizza, I got the wrong crust then and this one DID have gluten in it that would make me sick. We decided to take it back to the store, still thinking perhaps there was a mistake or mixup. My husband talked with those at the front desk, and the man at the counter admitted that YES, they DID change their gluten-free crust 4 months ago. So, to recap, the man on the phone made me out to be some crazy Karen for just calling to ask if what I got was a mistake because it looked different, then we drove all the way BACK to the store for them to tell me I was correct, and say they had no solution for us and send us back on our way home again with now cold pizza. No discount or resolution, just an "oh yeah it did change" and a shoulder shrug. For the lack of customer service alone, they just lost a loyal customer who would order pizzas by the dozen for parties and holidays. BTW: the new GF crust is abysmal. Chewy and flat. Whoever made my pizza on 4/21 at around 10:30 pm or so is an angel! Perfect crust. Perfect cooking temperature. Chewy. I ordered a Simple Basil - pepperoni, fresh basil and black pepper. Zalat doesn't overdo the toppings because that crust and cheese texture is too yummy to overpower with soggy toppings. Srirancha on the side is a must! Very friendly atmosphere and service, walked in and everyone was smiling and happy. The 14" fed my family of 3 but we ended up wishing we had ordered bigger because it was that good. The crust is on the thinner side but suits the cheese/sauce/topping ratio. Personally I'm picky when it comes to sauce on pizza, and even though there wasn't a lot on here, the flavor Of their cheese is on point so It didn't matter. Update from my last review. 4 stars for great customer service and good pizza. After my first review, I was contacted by the owner and given 3 free pizzas to try again. She said sorry and explained my experience didn't reflect what they usually provide. That's completely fair, and I really appreciated the second chance. The owner was very nice. 2nd order the pizzas were much, much better. I ordered extra cheese and sauce on all 3 and felt like I got it on 1 of of the 3 pizzas.
