Moved to McKinney from Plano almost a year ago. Haven't found a lot of pizza places real close to me, or that seems good I've ordered togo from here before, not long wait then & good pizza - But this day (12/19/25), my kids & I sat in (dinner time on a Friday). Not only in need of a bigger location to accommodate (it seems), but more staff too.. phones ringing off hook, ppl waiting for food, etc. We had gotten the appetizer (tasted better than it looks), then waited close to an hr or so waiting for our pizza. Service was okay - mixed experience. Server seemed either overwhelmed, annoyed, or just not happy mostly. Could come to the table more "giddy", the next like he didn't want to be there. I get it was a Friday evening, dinner service, more busy.... But still. There was a table next time us, drove 50 mins to celebrate a birthday, by the time we got our pizza - that table had just found out their ticket was lost.. & needed to wait longer I will say when we did get our pizza finally, it was very good, good sauce/flavor, better than when I've ordered to go Recommend ordering delivery/take out or going when it shouldn't be busy Update: 1/23/26 - Owner & GM reached out, remedied situation. The good: * Pizza is good. Crust is not as buttery as I expected, but it's good. Don't expect Chicago quality, but for the area it's a good option. * Restaurant is fairly clean * Employees are friendly * Good for the price It is what it is: * 35 minute wait for Chicago Pizza The Bad: * You can tell it's a take-out business. Their staff is not trained to wait tables and it shows by their lack of attentiveness. They are very nice when you do interact with them, but don't come here expecting service. * No music = no ambiance. It's a very quiet place to eat, doesn't feel welcoming. * We smelled cleaning product all throughout the meal. It's the awful smell of fabuloso. It's what they use to clean the tables. My wife got a headache from smelling it. We lost our appetite half way through eating. Would add a whole star to the review if this wasn't a factor. Verdict: * Not a bad pizza place. Pizza was tasty and its a good value for what you get. I just wish the dining experience was better, especially knowing many are probably traveling to come here for Chicago style pizza. We're native Chicagoans who love a good Chicago pizza option and Rosati's fills that void. In summary, I would give them closer to 3.75 stars because the pizza and fries are pretty good, but service and ambiance are not always great. The pizza tastes the same as what you'd get at a Rosati's in the Chicago area. So, it gets us out of a pinch when we're craving good pizza. Like true Chicagoans, we've only tried the thin crust...lol. We haven't tried their deep dish, but we've heard it's very good as well. We've only ordered take-out and service has been kind of blah the past few times. Employees aren't rude, but not very efficient or welcoming either. As for ambiance, the dine-in area hasn't looked very pleasant. It's just dark and uninviting imo. Also, last time I was there, they were refinishing tables tops or something in the middle of the dining area, during business hours. It smelled very chemically and was just messy. We decided to go back to Rosati's since their pizza was one of the best I have ever had and this time around our experience was the complete opposite. The staff were friendly and greeted us warmly and were out checking on customers in the dining area frequently. Pizza was supposed to be ready for pickup at 620pm didn't get it till after 640pm horrible service they didn't even tell me directly I believe I overheard them say the order didn't print up So just guess they started cooking it when I arrived but didn't apologize for the wait or offer a drink while I waited and while I waited another customer came in for pickup and some guy behind the counter on his phone told her he doesn't work there eventually someone who did "work" there came and luckily for her her pizza was ready but on her way out we both look at each other bewildered like what shitty service read more

We moved to the DFW 7-1/2 yrs ago and have been looking for an authentic Chicago Deep Dish pizza place, to no avail. Until my Son told me we had to try Rosati's! YAY, FINALLY! I ordered for pickup, but the place is kept very clean and everyone is so polite and helpful. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. Everything about the deep dish pizza I ordered, was SO good My pizza was really stuffed with lots of ingredients, topped with a layer of their yummy sauce, super heavy and I had three meals from that one pizza. The price is also very fair for the amount of food you get. We've already been there twice, just this week, lol. We looked forward to going back home to Austin, just to have a good Chicago Deep Dish. I've seen people rave about this thin crust pizza so I had to try it. I was not impressed. It wasn't bad but I definitely wouldn't order it again. It was cooked to perfection. I just wasn't a fan of the taste. I've had better thin crust pizza. The bread sticks were so good. I would go again to just order that. I ordered takeout so I can't speak much on the service except the gentleman did ask if I wanted cheese or crushed peppers. I used to order from this McKinney TX location quite often over last 3 years. Unfortunately, within the last year the pizza just doesn't taste same nor is it good anymore. I don't know if they changed ownership or have different cooks, but again pizza is not good and it's no longer a pizza place I once loved. This place is not a good place at all to eat at. They are very racist, burn your food and will not give you a refund on your order. The young girl that works in there will start sweeping the floors with customers being present eating in there. Well, I arrived late to pick up my order. The service was great. The pizza was amazing. It is even good warm. I started eating my pizza as soon as I got in the car with my daughter. My daughter made stop eating by saying let's save some for home. O the cinnamon bread was delicious. Every bite of food was unbelievable good. My husband and I visited this place. Dined in and our waitress was great but the other staff need improvement. The place is cozy and was busy with a lot of takeout orders. It was my first and probably only visit to this very small, quaint establishment tucked inside a store front shopping center. When you walk in, you will take it for a walk up counter kind of restaurant. But, eventually, a server shows up and asks if you are there for a pick-up. When answered no, she says to go sit down anywhere. It's that kind of place. I split an Italian Beef Sandwhich with hubby, which was pretty good but not enough to make me revisit. Ordered some food for pickup. Upon arrival, the food was ready on time. Okay, so the breadsticks are a MUST! Best breadsticks ever! Pair it with their outstanding garlic butter. Boneless wings were good quality and tasted fine. The thin crust pepperoni pizza was great. Perfect amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The sausage and pepperoni deep Dish was good- feel like it could have been excellent but by the time we got home, it wasn't hot and I feel that could have played a role in it. The baked mostaccioli pasta with meat sauce was excellent. The sauce was amazing. Pasta was perfectly cooked. A little disappointed with the rosati's cheef sandwich. "This place needs a bath" Epic fail, Canned Tomatoes Extra Grease Tough Flavorless Crust Rank Cheese To top it off the staff were audibly and visually arguing over pay and hours right in front of me, while my hot $30 pizza was waiting to be boxed up. I love Rosati's pizza but felt like something different so I ordered pepperoni calzone via Doordash. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! The calzone was about 40% rolled, dry dough with no filling and 55% too much cheese and no pepperoni. Finally found the pepperoni when I cut the last piece into two bites. ALL the pepperoni was stuck together in a stack and there was no cheese. Horrible calzone prepared by a lazy person. Y'all thin or deep dish Chicago style this place knows how to make DELICIOUS pizza. This is my go to spot for pizza. It's worth the extra cost for a delicious pizza. I ordered the Chicago deep dish and thin crust and it's amazing. The sauce is well flavored. The crust is buttery with cornmeal for extra texture. The ingredients are abundant but not overwhelming. Side note, my favorite is the sausage. It's just right without being too spicy or bland. Last one, get the Italian Beef sandwich. Yes, you are having original beef sandwich. You must have it. I have been looking for a true deep dish pie since the Tomato in Denton closed down! If you are too young or old enough that you cannot remember, they were downtown on Fry street. They had a deep dish that took 45 minutes to prepare and it was a true pie, filled with meat and cheeses then baked to perfection! You could write or draw on the walls, it was a great college memory! Rosati's is very similar thick pizza with a deep pie shape and thin crust loaded with chunks of your favorite ingredients. We ordered ahead because keep in mind deep dish take about 25 min and we were hangry. We ordered a 12" deep dish, for 2 and there was plenty left over. The crust remained crispy and didn't get soggy, we later went home and put it in the toaster and held up perfectly!! We ordered a small cheese thin crust and it was very tasty and kids loved it.
