Female Maltese, born June 17th...named Whitney. Whitney was delivered safely by their carrier, who kept my daughter informed when they would arrive. Whitney came with a week worth of food, a playpen, bowls and a bed. She was also potty trained which was a plus. I highly recommend Central Park ontop of any pet store. Their prices are reasonable and they guarantee the puppy, where most pet shops don't. Staff are very helpful. Whitney is just a loving, happy puppy. Wants to please . Usually has most things in stock even hard to find items that you can't find in chain stores like Petco etc. , and one thing they have that doesn't exist in a chain store ---EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anything you need they're extremely helpful and happy to find or get. I had my dog training classes here, and that's how I started coming to this location; but I have to tell you the customer service from the store is unrivaled. If there's something you need, just call and check on it. They're happy to check in stock, They also have a website you can order through that too, 99.9% of the time what you're looking for is a stocked item,and on the rare occasion that it is not or you have an item as I did a special cat food recommended by the vet they did not have on the shelf they called another location, had it there for me the next day! I also have a bad back and I cannot carry large bags of dog food for my dog....put my back out once they had the food delivered to my house free of charge which is a service they offer as well; if I go to the store, they are happy to bring it to my car for me if needed. The most recent experience was completely unacceptable. After their surgeries to be fixed, both dogs were sent home without cones a basic and necessary precaution after such a major procedure. Even more concerning, they were closed for an ENTIRE week immediately afterward, leaving no contact for questions or post-operative concerns. Who performs such a significant surgery and then becomes unreachable to their patients' families? To make matters worse, one of my dogs developed serious complications and nearly lost her life. I called, left messages, texted, and emailed, desperately trying to reach someone--only to receive no response. That level of unavailability and lack of follow-up is unprofessional and unacceptable.

We tried CBD, and medication to calm her and we were still unable to have anyone actually get them cut. We heard about Mell's Grooming and called on a whim. They told us to come down and they would get it done. We entered and everyone was very friendly. They were grooming 3 other dogs and were still able to take us. Anna helped us and got her right up onto the table. Unlike everyplace else, they didn't need to muzzle her and didn't have trouble keeping her on the table. They were able to get her nails cut in minutes! We are so grateful to Anna and everyone at Mell's grooming for getting her nails cut when no one else could. Everyone there was great and we can't say enough good things about the care they took with our dog. If you have a challenging pet when it comes to nails, Mell's is the place to go!

We also gave her Trazodone to help ensure she would be calm and relaxed for the grooming. I took time off from work to be home for the appointment, only to receive an email about 30 minutes beforehand stating there would be an additional $100 "handling fee." I never saw the email in time, and no one called or texted to discuss it. Instead, no one showed up for the appointment. The complete lack of communication, professionalism, and consideration for my time was extremely disappointing. After confirming the price, preparing our pet, and taking time off from work, I expected much better customer service.
