There is no fee. Bill and Jim accept donations. You don't need clubs because they have enough sets for everyone. You don't even need golf balls since they have a bucket of balls you can borrow (or lose our of bounds.) Bill and Jim created this course in 2001 for the community and because of their love for the game. You won't find a course filled with more love and dedication than the Gate Ranch Golf Course. The facility is very well maintained with fields having a turf infield and grass outfield. Hopefully this helps ballplayer with cleats selection. Behind the plate, you will find nets instead of the traditional fences which make spectators feel like part of the action. Most of the fan seating has overhead netting to protect the fans from the dreaded foul balls. The concession stand had a pretty good selection of snacks and the prices are reasonable. The main building has restrooms that are a bit tight and small. So if you need to use the restroom, I would suggest using the ones near the playground. Parking is very abundant, there is a large parking lot on the North side and plenty of parking in the adjacent neighborhood to the East . There are multiple restaurants nearby and grocery store just a couple blocks away.

Haven't been here in a long time. The staff was attentive for a while then they seemed to just…read moreleave. The people were skating in the opposite direction for what seemed like 40 mins. People who regularly went there said, "They usually only have us skate the other way for a few songs. This is the longest they've done this." People were getting tired and there was only about 20-25 people skating. This place closes at 9pm. Around 8:30pm they played the hokey-pokey and allowed people to skate the correct way. At 8:40-8:45 they had races. No one wanted to race at first. Why was that? Answer: The staff which was 2 young men and one customer older gentleman raced. One staff guy pushed the customer into the wall around the far corner and he scraped the skin near his eye on the wall. The thing was, he did the deed and kept going like nothing was wrong! He eventually came back to apologize to the man right before closing announcements. Not very tasteful at all. Is this the reason why people do not want to race? Because they are afraid the staff will push them into the wall? I'm hoping this was just an accident. Other than this, the place was clean, well lit, nice song selections, skating arena was wood and rental skates looked well taken care of. I did not play the arcade, use the lockers or use the bathrooms. So glad the parking lot outside is being repaved. It was a dump before. Park on the side of the building if you wish. Maybe if I come back in 4 years, things will be better.

The trail around the lake is about a mile through many varieties of evergreen trees and forest foliage. Electric and water hookups on the RV sites is available. I have attended numerous volleyball tournaments at this place. They charge to get in and then have…read morethe audacity to refuse to let you bring any outside food or drink into all day tournaments. They try to make you feel better about their ridiculous policy by saying they have a restaurant and snack bar on site. The snack bar offered a lot of fried foods without many healthy options for parents and/or players. We are already paying so much for the players to play, and tournament fees to not be allowed to bring outside food in. The staff was taking food away from the girls and making them throw it away, leave it unattended on a table, or put it back in their car. The facility itself is ok but it is loud in there with so many teams playing. Parking lot fills up quickly so best get there early if you want to park within a 1/4 of a mile of the place. There are a lot of eateries nearby so you can leave to get food in between games but good luck getting a spot to park when you return.

The roads are super narrow gravel roads and the spots are mostly very small. We tried unsuccessfully to park in various spots with no luck. After a long time driving around and about ready to give up and go elsewhere we found a spot I was able to back into. Not sure if they have full hookup sites, all we saw was water and 30 amp. The park itself is very nice, trees everywhere, looks like a state park or something like that so the park itself would be 5 stars. If you have a smaller RV or are tent camping you may have a better experience. Also just about 1:30 from Mt St Helens which you should definitely check out!

The only problem was he delivered more than he had promised in terms of fun! How many charter guides call to ask you if you wanted to rebook due to the freakishly hot weather? None that I ever met before. Our schedule didn't permit that so we foraged on with our planned day and time. Owen's boat made everything easier and it was spotlessly clean! There were only 3 of us on the boat with him which is part of the reason I booked with him - he has a 4 person maximum. I despise being crowded and there is no way a guide can properly guide if there are more people than that anyway. There were a half dozen other boats on the river, but no one else was smiling! Owen was pleasantly engaging and new how to read those in the boat and kept everyone engaged. If you want a guide who can only get you to the right place with the right gear and equipment call Owen! On a 2 week trip to the Washington state, it is going to remain one of my absolute favorite events! If you're looking for a guide who knows where to bring you and how to get fish call Owen, you won't be disappointed!!!
