I was not impressed with this course. Our group played the South and West courses. The course is fairly flat with some elevated tees to get back to the clubhouse, but there are some holes that were a bit confusing. Several holes had severe 90 degree doglegs, you couldn't even tell where the pin was after your 2nd shot. However, the real problem is the drainage on the course. During 80-85 degree weather in the afternoon, you would think the course would be dry for optimal conditions, but there were patches of deep puddles and water logged areas around the greens where you would need to relieve your ball on to drier areas. And don't get me started on greens. They were absolutely diabolical. The Par 3 on Hole 8 was stupidly placed. Whoever was the groundskeeper must have had a terrible morning. If you missed the putt even 2 feet long, the ball would completely roll of the green. Several pin placements were placed on top of mound like that. I did like how fast the greens rolled though. As for pricing, I'm not sure if I'd pay $45 for this course on a weekend. However, I loved the prices on beverages and food in the clubhouse. Hot dogs were $1, Gatorades were $2 and beers were very affordable at ~$7. Definitely no price gouging here. The staff in the clubhouse was very friendly. The gentlemen in the morning early afternoon is a chatty fellow and was very inviting. He looked like he really enjoyed working there. I would play this again if all my friends want to, but if I wanted to play it individually, I might reconsider.

The arcade games here have a mix of newer and older as well as several different genres, they had plenty of pinball machines, and other fun games! The staff that was working that day was very friendly and informative about what they offer. They were kind with us and the other customers that were present. The space looks clean and well-taken care of. The bathroom was also clean and well-maintained. I definitely can't wait to come back to truly experience this place to the fullest in the future.

Even the greens that aren't temp greens are still bumpy full of disease and half of it is dead. Driving range far net is broken so don't bother hitting any woods or driver unless you wanna hit people on tee box for hole 17. Used to be taken care of and enjoyable. Now it's just a waste of money. I'm sure mid summer the fairways will be brown and the greens will be looking like the salt flats in Utah. Per usual.

Adjacent the Tokeland Hotel, this 18 (or so) hole golf course is truly unique. Guarded only by an…read more"honor box" requesting $10 for your play, the entire golf course is actually situated on tidal lands. During winter high tides, most of this golf course is underwater. A true "sustainable" golf course, no pesticides or fertilizers are used. Newcastle it aint, but for $10, it can't be beat. The vistas out over the bay where the WIllapa River meets the Pacific Ocean simply cannot be beat. This is particularly great for a walking outing where dad can bring his clubs and mom can follow along with the baby stroller, as well as for beginners who can't see dumping $50 and up on green fees just to stub every other ball. Feel free to picnic after your round in the parking lot, or have lunch in the dining room of the Tokeland Hotel. Minus one star for the snake skin I saw along the way, otherwise, an unbeatable value and great family fun for a day.

They also have bumper boats but we have never done them because it is never warm enough, in our opinion, to get wet from them. They have a little snack bar with decent pricing and portions. This is all around a great value for family oriented fun.

Let's just start with he owner, who is friendly and gracious. He was very thankful to us for coming in and made us feel right at home. He explained how everything worked to us newbies with patience and it really set a good tone from the start. Next is the view... you're hitting golf balls right toward Mt. Rainier which is awesome. It hard to ask for a better setting. Lastly, they use the Top Tracer golf app which has lots of games, tools, and tracking to help you improve your game. The pricing from what I understand is very competitive as well. There is a refreshment bar inside with snacks and drinks, including adult beverages. There is also a modest pro shop and all staff are kind and friendly. Out front you'll also find a free putting green area for putting practice, as well as a new building which will eventually house batting cages as well. I highly recommend Airport Golf Center.

The owner takes excellent care of the course, always adding a new twist to a hole or two.... You may see deer, Eagles or an occasional bear to keep it even more interesting. Always a fun round.. and a nice deck to enjoy a cold sip after. Make sure you grab a tee time next visit to the Long Beach WA Peninsula!

The driving range has mats, arti turf, or you can step down to swat from the trimmed grass. Lovely little 9-hole golf course, super affordable green-fees ($25 for 9); carts are $16. I'd say these are the best greens for miles around (comparable to prestigious Gearhart Golf Links) For us, as beginners, its challenging enough, lots of stealthy sand traps, ponds. Not many dog-legs. You can usually find your balls in the out-of-bounds area, unless its someones yard, in which case, respect the property owners. Deer abound, birds singing and flying everywhere (in spring/summer at least). Well maintained fairways and greens - i did notice the greens suffer a bit in the late summer due to the drought, but they've brightened up nicely that the rains are back. Watch out for monster goathead bush on the back fairways, best to leave the ball than tangle with them. Dastardly 8th hole you must clear a water obstacle, be ready with spare balls if you suck like me! Couldnt find a friendlier proprietor/pro Jon K. I havent seen any signs up advertising lessons, I assume they offer it. Rental clubs available. Carts always clean and run good. Nice deli/sandwich shop inside the clubhouse, but their hours dont always match the pro shop so might call to check if you intend to eat there.

My husband and I have been playing Tumwater Valley for about 30 years and years and I am not a good…read moregolfer but I enjoy the game. My husband passed away in 2022, and can no longer book a single, even if they have open tee time, they just refuse to fill them. I live out of town and they tell me to drive in and see if they can accommodate me! Are you kidding? Last week, I golfed this year with my granddaughter and required a handicap flag due to a severely broken femur making walking extremely difficult for me especially on uneven ground. If you have any type of mobility problem, Tumwater valley is NOT ADA ACCESSIBLE with a cart. They purchased these carts and software that beep and then the cart comes to a complete stop if you get to close to where they think you should not be. No signs that indicate "NO CARTS BEYOND THIS POINT " like normal golf courses, which would give you some idea that your cart would quit. Then you have to reverse to get out of it and the direction to go is not always obvious. Very frustrating. I hit my ball on a par 3 and it only went about 50 yards on a 160 yard par 3. My ball landed on the opposite side of the cart path near the woods and I thought I could drive across the fairway to my ball since I was no way close to the green......No way, my cart was programmed not to go across any par 3s. It was extremely difficult for me to walk to my ball. For a City owned course not to be accessible, is I believe against the law. I called the office a couple times because my cart got stopped and was told that it was programmed for the easiest access, but still nowhere enough for a mobility disability. I have been golfing a very long time and I know not to drive on the green, but now, I sometimes I have to get to the back side of a green and the hilly part was very difficult. These carts explain the large number of walkers I saw on the course....more than I have ever seen in my life time of golfing at this course. It appears golfers would rather walk than deal with the annoyance of these carts. I will never play Tumwater valley again. They tried to bring me a different cart, but since there is apparently no way to turn the program off if you have a disability you just cannot get reasonably close to your ball in some instances. I would not encourage going to Tumwater Valley. Find a different course. Their no singles policy is also ridiculous. They can always book a twosome of threesome with a single like other courses.
