Customer service is extremely important to any business, I received a phone call back pertaining to an online inquiry. I requested a price of a vehicle numerous times. Instead of being provided with the cost of the vehicle, I was told that I would need to speak to someone else. Which seemed odd because they called me. I kept asking for the price and didn't want to be transferred over. I stated, I would call back when I had more time . However, they kept insisting on transferring me over for pricing I state it again can someone just provide me with the pricing before I could finish my sentence I was hung up on. I was at this lot in September 2020 looking to buy a $5k car for cash. I made a deal with the salesman for $5k cash for, I'll pay the Sec of State fees and taxes and they will repair the brakes. When we went in to do the paperwork the salesman passed me off to another guy and said he had to leave. I found that a little strange because these guys work on commission but whatever as long as the deal is done. They get all the paperwork done then pass me off to another girl for payment. I begin inspecting the paperwork and notice that the total was more than $6200. Upon further inspection I see they charged me a $618 restocking fee. I question her and of course she has no idea what it is because she didn't make the deal. Then guy #2 comes up telling me that that's normal. ( mind you I went to about 10 more lots looking for a car and NOT one of them has a restocking fee). This guy starts getting pissed off because I keep telling him that's not the deal I made. I understand if they want to slide that garbage fee in on ppl financing but I HAD CASH. I even said that to them and he returned with its all the same to them. After a couple minutes of back and forth he snatched the paperwork from my hands then ran to hide in the back. So as is common practice everywhere else in the world I drove in to see if anything interesting stood out to me. Their ethics . My son drove a car off the lot that had no completed loan. Dealer states he couldn't verify his income two weeks later when we realized the car turned in wasn't paid off . All income was 100% Legit dealer let him drive a car without proper plates or anything legal for two weeks . Title on the new car was not legit, when picking up old car had to have police escort. They put over 1000 miles on our old car and gave it back with 2 miles till Empty! Their 125 point inspection (or whatever the number they give) is just a marketing scam for them to sell lemons. They are in bed with Fenkel (where they get their inspections done and free oil changes). I have continued to tell my friends and family to stay away from this sleezy lot. I am confused as to how they're still in business. You get a loan for a 3k car at 11k and you'll be paying on it well after it's broke down. I advised my children to stay away but my son got suckered again by them (he should listen to his mother lol). I made it much worse by contacting them and threatened legal action, which caused them to back out of any help they were going to do on my sons SUV that had immediate (within a week of driving it off the lot) engine troubles. Unfortunately anything older than a 2016 doesn't fall under the lemon law. Anytime you purchase from a B lot, you should be having a real inspection done on it. 3 days is all you have to back out of these deals. And then my stepdaughter went there, and he put her in a beautiful little Ford fiesta that was fuel efficient, that she really needed because she travels a lot, and she's very happy with her car. And while she was getting her car, I decided to get a car and Roy who did all three transactions, put me in a beautiful Toyota Camry, that I have been wanting for a long time and Roy treated all three of us with Nothing but professionalism and respect. I came in test drive offered to buy it outright cash with a trade in .. the guy convinced me to finance half of it I agreed . We had been there 5+ hours by now so they shove a bunch of paperwork in my face to quickly sign because it was past closing time and they wanted to leave .I get home and look over the paperwork and the purchase price of the vehicle had changed from $18964 to $25394 !!!! I put $13300 down and still owe $16k on a vehicle that was listed for $18964 !!! I returned the next day and they denied me the right to take it back !!!!! Do not trust these people read more

I went to Newcomb's to purchase a vehicle that was listed for $8,600. They showed me the vehicle, I test drove it, everything went well and so I went on to make the deal with them. Rick went over the financial aspects of the deal and I noticed that I was being charged 12,250 for the car. When I asked why he told me that because I was financing through Credit Acceptance, they wanted to charge me more for the vehicle. Stupidly I believed him and signed the contract and left. After I got home I went over it with a few friends who ultimately told me I got screwed, and so I also went to a lawyer. After reading through the contract we found, on Page 1 Paragraph 2, of the Credit Acceptance Corp. Disclosure form, that the dealership was not allowed to quote me a lower cash price ($8,600) which they did, and not allowed to raise said price if I chose to finance through CAC, which they did. They raised the Principal price of the vehicle by nearly 4000 dollars and told me it wasn't their fault, but really it was 100%. They were charging me more because CAC charges them a fee and they were making their money back through me, which is in violation of the disclosure form. Luckily, after complaining they unwound my contract, not without Rick telling me, "you don't understand this and I wouldn't expect you to because you know nothing about this". Even though it says right there in their own contract that what he did wasn't allowed. I'm only making this review (since my contract was undone) to serve as a warning for future buyers, do not let Rick harass you into believing CAC wants to charge you more for the car, that's in violation of their own contract. The principal of the car should be what the vehicle was listed for as soon as you entered the dealership, unless negotiated to a new price. Also to anyone who has bought a vehicle here and was charged a higher than quoted "cash price" of the car, if you can find proof of the listing at a lower price than what was charged in the contract, you may be able to contact CAC and notify them. If you do this there's a chance they will charge the dealership dollar for dollar what the up-charge was. Also make sure you read everything because they will breathe down your neck and rush you into signing. read more

This is the worse private dealership I have ever been too. My daughter bought a vehicle from there a few months ago and had the worse experience with the General Manager named Rick. There were scratches and dings in the vehicle so Rick said he would fix them if we leave the vehicle with him. We left the vehicle on Tuesday and on Friday, we got a phone stating that the car is ready for pick up. My daughter picked up the car and drove it home. We noticed that it was never vacuumed and there were dust around the dashboard and all over the door handles. There were no car mats and the car was dirty with debris and was not vacuumed out as well. The only thing this dealer did for 4 days was washed the outside of the car. The scratches and dings were all still there. We are also left with a completely empty gas tank so my daughter had to stop to get gas right away.When I called Rick, the General Manager, to stated all of these issues that were not done, he could only apologized about. He said to bring the car back. I said that they already kept my car for 4 days to get these things done so why would I trust them to do there job. Rick said he would order mats for the car and call when he gets them. No phone call from him. Also my daughter had to go to the bank to pick up the check and bring it to him. This is not the process. Usually the dealer and the bank takes care of the payment. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. You would get a dirty car without mats and an empty tank just like we did. Very unprofessional service. I have bought many cars from many dealers and never received a dirty car before. read more

Bought car from here in April, bought a GWC warranty for close to $1000 with it because they sold me that it was a good deal. It's worthless, $2600 worth of repairs for 1st repair, $1800 faulty engine module second time, not a single thing was covered by the warranty they sold me. My auto place was shocked to find that it didn't cover any of the repairs. I had left thinking I'd be back for my next vehicle. I will not be back. I spoke with GM Chris, who says the warranty is great and he has it on his wife's car and what can I do to make it right? Refund me what I paid for the warranty I said since that's my main issue, well if you ever need a place to bring it in let me know he responds, completely ignoring what I said. I live in Novi, I'm not driving to Auburn Hills for repairs when I already have a reputable place by my home. Don't ask what you can do to make it right if you aren't willing to follow through. I take bad reviews as a grain of salt. Whenever someone is dissatisfied with a used car (they ALL have issues), they hop on the internet to say the dealer is crooked. Newcombs is crooked. I bought a truck that was supposed to be in good working order. Supposedly Newcombs did a safety check, but there is no way this truck passed. I've had the truck for 4 months and the following things were bad: Rear brake calipers were corroded and siezed. AT THE VERY LEAST, BRAKES SHOULD BE CHECKED BY DEALERS. Thermostat was stuck open, so no heat (bought it in the summer, so they got away with that one) 4WD didn't work. The transfercase engages and the light comes on, but again, in the summer, they can get away with it not working. The hubs were both bad, along with the solenoid. All 4 ball joints and both tierods were bad. The tires were bad, but they said they'd get me a deal at Belle Tire. They made it out to be a GREAT discount, ended up being 50 bucks. Off 800 dollars. Moral of the story, get the vehicle checked out by a third party before buying. I'm a mechanical engineer and I've done a million repairs on my vehicles, but these were all things they can "get away with" if you don't get an inspection. Just looking at the vehicle won't reveal the issues, so they don't fix them. read more

purchased a 2006 f150 and everything seemed great. Got it home and the next day noticed my two front tires were almost flat. I took it to belle tire thinking it needed valve stems replaced. Found out that on the front two wheels the inside of the rims were corroded and falling apart (there are actual pinholes all the way through to the inside of the tire. I called Len at newcomb and told me to take it to Belle tire in Auburn hills and see Rex ( does tires for them apparently). I took it there and they looked at it and said it needed new rims and would contact Len. A week went buy and no word. I called Len and he stated they told him it was a dealer warranty item. I took it to the dealer and it was past 3 yr 36000 warranty. I called Len back and told him that and he told me to send a pic of the style wheel and he would order them. Two weeks later and never heard back. With an existing problem like that they would have had to add air to the tires daily on their lot, but sold the car anyway without disclosing. They never contact you back and blow you off. DO NOT BUY FROM THERE!! Im sure they made a ton on the truck they sold me but cant spend $400 on replacement wheels. But I bought a toshiba tv for 1100 and they replaced the lcd panel which cost more than the tv within 3 days. Go figure read more
