This was our first Newk's visit passing through on our way home, and I don't regret the decision at all! The food was excellent and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly with helping us identify things on the menu. We'll certainly be keeping this location under our belt for future travels, since it's in a convenient location off of the interstate. I ordered a "Choose 2" with 1/2 of a roast beef sandwich and 1/2 of a Caesar salad. There was just a little too much pepper in the salad, but I'll ask to not have it included next time. read more

OK, my boy has eaten here a coupla times previous & appeared to like it. So tonite was a fundraiser nite for his middle school & I'm all like sure let's give it a whirl...Boy, I've had worse ideas but I can't remember when. Rolled in & looked over menu...ordered 2 Roast Beef sandwiches listed @ $6.50 each & by the time drinks were added along with a bag of chips and a salad, which they made sound like it was included in the price, the bill jumps another $10, WTF? Then they couldn't/wouldn't give me an itemized receipt cause I wanted to see the breakdown...it got worse from there... Ordered my RB fully dressed which was to include lettuce, mayo, creole mustard, Italian dressing, pickle & onions...1st sandwich comes & the amount of RB on this thing is laughable. I mean I've seen more meat on an Ethiopan goat, but I deal with it until I take my 1st bite & realize all the sandwich has got on it is mayo & lettuce...NOT HAPPY for the price I paid...Let's go see the manager...point out the issues, resolution is new sandwich prepared as I ordered it originally...2d sandwich comes out same as the first and I'm thinking "you gotta be sh*tting me"... At this point I'm pissed, how freaking hard is it to prepare a d@mn sandwich with the things the joint offers on it's menu!! It ain't like I was making sh*t up that they don't offer!! It ain't like making a sandwich is on par with Quantum freakin' Physics or Rocket Science or sh*t like that... So, let's go back to the manager & take the sandwich & walk the manager over to the menu board, open up the sandwich & ask what is offered on your d@mn menu which I ordered versus what is on my sandwich? Finally resolution is we'll bring the stuff out in side containers...great I get charged $23 to make my own sandwich!! Obviously, I shoulda just went home & made myself a Dagwood in my kitchen!! Again, meat wise, 2d sandwich,Ethiopan goat!!! Needless to say this locale will never see a dime of my money again...would rather eat a Quizno's or Subway sandwich over their crap!! I have been to Newk's 3 times, this location only once. The first time I went to Newk's I was not satisfied with the food that was presented to me. The second time I went back and got a spicy shrimp pizza that was really good. So I found my go to meal at Newk's. When you walk in the store the counter is in the front and you place your order and you're given a number and they deliver your food. The food is a little pricey, but not too bad. I ordered quickly and received my food fairly quickly. The pizza I got at this location was not as good as the Shreveport location. The pizza was okay but there were huge chuncks of banana peppers. Like the size of my finger huge. I had to pick them off because I didn't want to have a bite of pepper pizza. Besides the huge chunck of pepper, it was a good experience. Nice example of a fast casual dining experience. The cashier was a bit short with her responses but I were able to get exactly what I wanted so it worked out. When looking at the menus I was a little confused on how to order what I wanted but after a little conversation this was eliminated. During the lunch time I say avoid this place as it is VERY busy. No place to park and standing room only for ordering. I almost could not find a seat. I guess everyone else liked it too. read more

Too bad you can't get the nice wheat berry bread they use on their to-go sandwiches when you dine in. For dining in, they use a hard Hogie type bread that is toasted. Even after asking the manager to use the nice to-go bread, he said NO...corporate doesn't allow that. Guess we will be eating sandwiches somewhere else!! read more

You can read my previous review for this place and see that I've never been much of a happy customer here. And I promised to try yet again. Needing to eat gluten-free due to a medical reason I decided to give Newk's another shot. It seems like the sort of place that might even have GF bread. It most assuredly, was not. In fact, they don't even have a GF menu! I was handed a binder with allergens listed, but it was very hard to understand. For instance, every salad was listed as containing gluten- which doesn't make any sense. Is this because they are factoring in the croutons? Am I safe if I order a salad without? No idea. Same with the chicken salad - am I able to eat a scoop of the chicken salad on some lettuce maybe? No idea. The chicken salad sandwich is listed as containing gluten, but nothing is specified. So basically, there was nothing safe for me to eat here. This was the first I had ever run into this problem! I ended up ordering a salad with blueberries and watermelon and strawberries on it. I can't remember the name, but it seemed safe enough. The manager assured me there would be no cross-contamination, and there wasn't. But there also was no flavor. I ate the entire salad and was still hungry and completely unsatisfied. I was also horrified at the cost! I could have eaten in a nice restaurant for what I spent here! I will never be back. I am so very done giving this place more chances. I only left the two stars because I did not get sick. read more

This is one of my favorite "fast food" spots. Their pizzas and sandwiches are amazing. I enjoy the simple pepperoni and sausage pizza or the turkey and cheese sandwich served with your choice of chips. They also have prepackaged thin breadsticks that I can't get enough of. It's not a high end place to eat but, definitely not a quick fast food joint. Great spot for date nights and church or just stopping in for a good lunch. The ambience is quaint and has a good energy. I've frequented multiple spots and this one has some of the best service out of them all. The cashier was sweet and patient in our selections while the server was a high-spirited and bright young girl who definitely enjoyed her work. I give much credit to the managers at these restaurants for their team building skills. read more

Another terrible experience. Very unorganized. Cashier not knowing what they're doing, not knowing what's on the menu. Third time in a row having to ask for the status of my food, after fifteen people after me ordered and received their food before me. When I finally received my order, it was wrong. I asked for the correct item to go since I was already so fed up and they still brought it to me to dine in. When I pointed out it was supposed to be to go, I asked for a box to pack it myself. We came in for dinner on a fairly slow night, just my wife and I. We ordered and sat down and waited about 30 minutes, which is unusual especially on a slow night. We got our food and realized the sandwich was wrong. We weren't concerned about the slightly longer wait and the issue with the sandwich. Justice was so kind and happily comped our meals and brought us a new sandwich and apologized about the wait. I love receiving great service above great food but reviving both is amazing. I enjoy eating at this place. It is close to the hospital and highway which is convenient. I like the atmosphere. The food is a little pricey for my budget but always good. Last time I was there I had the loaded potato soup, it was yummy. read more

The food is typically good. Especially the pizza. It tastes really good. But there is one issue. Sadly the size can be a bit small at times. For a personal pizza i suppose its fine but it really does suck when you really enjoy something but then run out of it. Anyway i would recommend the personal pizza. Lots of flavor. I don't think Joel caught this place on a good day. Newks is an amazing chain. They get orders quickly & even if it looks like it will take an hour, the flow of those leaving makes waiting for a table rare. I have been in Bossier since Mar of 2014, and I know my pizza being raised in New Jersey. This is the best pizza in Bossier.

Love this place for lunch. It is quick and easy. They have some of the best tea in town and they even have tea presweetened with Splenda. I love the shrimp remoulade salad, veggie pizza and the chocolate cake. Great lunch spot in North Bossier. read more

This is just a great place. I normally am not a fan of chain sandwich shops but this one changed me. The 8 steps to dining bliss. 1)drop everything you are doing, including babies and speed to the closest Newks 2) casually walk in, making sure to hide your overwhelming excitement for the food you will soon be eating 3)order the Newks Q with a caesar salad 4)proceed to the fountain to fill your enormous cup 5) turn around! That is that? You make your way to the small table in the middle of the room to retrieve yourself some croutons and pickles. It doesn't make what you ordered or if you even like croutons or pickles, you get them because they are magical 6) pick a seat and wait (my least favorite thing to do) 7)you see it.... It's coming your way... You try not to stair but you can't resist! Your mouth starts watering, hands shaking. They place it on the table and tell you to enjoy, like you have any other chose. This is it, the moment, the one you have been waiting for. 8) you slowly move your throwing hard.... Slowly, so slowly. It happens! You make contact and you just can't hold back! I usually order food for take-out. The last several orders were incorrect. I have contacted the managers on duty, discussed the issue and assumed the process would be corrected. I love Newks and have for years but today's as not the case. I walked in with 3 other people and ordered. We were sitting for 30 minutes and then realized that they were probably backed up, so we waited. Two of my friends got their food and then one of them had to get it togo and leave because she had to go back to work. The other three of us just sat here. After an hour I went up and I told how long I had been waiting. They said your food would be out soon, so we waited a little more. 10 minutes went by and still no food. Once I got back to the table, my friends said they gave our meal to another table and then told us sorry about that. 5 minutes went by and we saw people get the food we ordered and eat and leave throughout the whole experience. I am pissed by this point. One worker came and was so sweet and brought us an order that wasn't our food. All of us were confused about what happened, including the worker. She went and asked and apparently they gave two groups my number, so the other group got our food and then got their food as well. The worker that was so sweet came and asked us what we ordered and got it out to us in two minutes. This review would be way worse without her! read more

I love Newk's but more so the one in Shreveport. Today I was craving so me and my husband went and ate lunch. It was a peak time however we had both only ordered a half a sandwich and half Caesar salad's. When we got there we were the first people in line and it took over five minutes before somebody ever came behind the counter to take out order which took 30 minutes. To receive. I also didn't want the Swiss cheese that came on the sandwich and asked to have it swapped out for provolone which they charged me for which made no sense to me. You charged me for Cheese that is supposed to come on my sandwich I just wanted a different one? OK moving on... On the sign for the half sandwiches to the second options were a cup of soup, a salad, fruit bowl or mac & cheese I picked fruit to which he told me he couldn't sell it with a half a sandwich and 1/2 side deal I had to be charged separately for it. Why is it listed as an option then? To which I received a shrug and an I'm not sure. Also I'm curious as to why my half a sandwich and half a salad cost more than buying a whole sandwich, which comes with chips, by like two dollars? Is that not suppose to be the lighter option?? After taking so long we took our food to go and unfortunately when we got back to sit down and eat, both of our sandwiches were incorrect by a big stretch. I'm not even sure What my sandwich was, it was awful, so I decided to Move on to the salad all to find out it's not a Caesar salad it's a regular salad with ranch dressing. Completely disappointed. Definitely was not worth $26 for two 1/2 sandwiches and two half salads for them all to be incorrect. read more

I love this place! I eat there every couple of weeks when I am in Bossier City since they opened in February. My favorite salad is the Newk's favorite salad (which is huge and tasty). Favorite pizzas: Vegetarian or BBQ chicken. Favorite Sandwiches: Newks Q (has white BBQ sauce with a little kick) or the Pesto Chicken. The women in my family love the chicken salad. All of their soups are so good they redefine soup. It has a self serve drink station with Coke products which I like. Sounds like Joel just needed a hug... read more

Newk's is a huge favorite of mine and my husband's, and we make sure to get Newk's every time we visit the south! The food is just unbeatable, and affordable for pretty much all budgets. The staff was friendly and fast, and everyone in my party loved their food. My favorite thing to get here is the Caesar salad with the crab bisque. Amazing quality food. I gave them three stars because both times I've been there they have messed up my order. Today I ordered a club sandwich, a turkey sandwich and two pimiento Mac and cheese meals to go but received four turkey sandwiches. I realize I should have checked it before I left but at the same time that is a huge error that should have been caught by someone before I received my order. Mistakes happen so I will probably be back but it will definitely not be during lunch hours. read more

I have always had a very nice experience dining in to this location. Very friendly staff and fast service. But today I do have one complaint. I ordered the same half sandwich, half Mac n cheese I order every time bc it's sooo delicious! I usually dine in but I'm on a crunch for time so I ordered Togo. I was very disappointed. My sandwich was half the size of the palm of my hand and there was barely any Mac n cheese in the container. I know what the regular portions look like bc I frequent this location and I always get the same meal. But I just let it go and was just going to order another half sandwich but that wasn't allowed and I didn't want to pay an extra $9 for a whole sandwich after I just paid $12 for my meal and a drink. But needless to say I definitely won't order take out from here again. Learned my lesson! read more
