Awesome food great atmosphere! The 5 cheese Mac and cheese is to die for! We will be back!

Met up with some old co-workers for lunch here. Oh boy! It's a true madhouse at lunchtime. We waited in line about 7 mins, which wasn't bad considering the amount of people in line ahead of us and people already seated waiting on food. The wait for the food was ok considering they were slammed. The food itself, I ordered Mac and cheese and the corn & crab chowder. Both were good. I rate based on the style and price point of a restaurant. So I'm giving Newk's 5 stars because I think it is exemplary for a value oriented, casual dining restaurant not because it is better than a Michelin star fine dining establishment. I've been to Newk's 4 times now; alone and with friends. Each time, every food item has been exceptional in terms of ingredients, flavor, construction, presentation and value. They have four main food groups; Salad, Sandwiches, Soups and Pizza plus Mac & Cheese, some specialty items and desserts. I and/or my friends have tried the: Royal sandwich Italian sandwich Roast beef sandwich 5 cheese Mac & Cheese Loaded potato soup Black and bleu salad Pepperoni pizza Chocolate cake Strawberry cake Each sandwich is on great bread, perfectly toasted with fresh, flavorful ingredients, well constructed so you get a little bit of all the ingredients in each bite. The are approximately 6" long. The loaded potato soup is extraordinary - thick, densely flavorful with bacon, sour cream and chives and tastes like a very well made loaded baked potato - highly recommended. The Black and Bleu salad is huge, great for blue cheese lovers with medium rare, tender roast beef, pecans and sliced grapes. As I am not a big fan of nuts and grapes in my salads, I asked for the pecans and grapes to be served on the side. The salad came with two large To Go containers filled with pecans and grapes (we took them home and ate them separately). I ate all I could eat, took the rest home and at on it for two more days. Wonderful, rich, bleu cheese flavor. The Pepperoni pizza is delicious with a decent crust, very balanced tomato sauce, mild pepperoni and a slice of tomato on each pizza slice. It's only 10" but just about right for one person. It makes me want to try all their pizzas. And finally, the desserts. The chocolate cake was rich, moist and just the right level of chocolately. My wife says the strawberry cake was the same but strawberry instead of chocolately. Both highly recommended. In addition to the wonderful, tasty, fresh food, the service is also top notch. There is always a manager roaming the floor helping bus tables and checking on customers. Every cashier and server we've dealt with have been friendly and helpful. All in all, Newk's has quickly become one of our favorite casual dining destinations. read more

Came in, ordered food took over 30 minutes to get 2 pizzas 1 bowl of soup and Newks cube. Good thing we didn't have a party.

We ate here for the first time yesterday. Great variety of Sandwiches salads and even the pizza did not disappoint. The food came to the table quickly and all of the Servers and staff were kind courteous and helpful. The store is clean with a friendly atmosphere. Wish they had a location in Woodstock. read more

I visited here for the first time yesterday. I can't say I was impressed. Although the place is nice and clean and I do like the set up, the food wasn't that good, it was just ok. We ordered a sandwich, soup and a kids pizza. The pizza was pretty small and only came with a drink no side. The broccoli cheddar soup taste more like onion soup and the sandwiches to me were overpriced and bland. read more

Their "Debra" pizza is delicious! I got a free entree for my birthday, so i decided to try the salmon Caesar salad. After ordering and sitting down, someone came up to me to tell me they didn't have salmon and if I wanted shrimp or tuna instead. The shrimp was broiled and 3 pieces still had large bits of shell on them. Immediately lost my appetite. I took it to the kitchen and was only asked if i wanted it remade. Had the Newk Q it had a good taste. It appeared small at first but it was very filling with the chicken gumbo. Everyone that I was with also enjoyed their food. However, the two people that got the mac and cheese didn't like it at all. One got the plain mac and cheese and the other the 5 cheese and the response was the same for both. read more

4th time here and each visit was great. Servers & staff have great attitudes. They aim to please. Fasts service with a smile. Pesto chicken sandwich is wonderful, sausage pizza was full of flavor ( I added some banana peppers from the circle bar) If you haven't given it a try do so. Because you won't be disappointed ! Uhhhh.... I'm usually accepting and forgiving when it comes to eating out. This was my first time picking up at Newk's and it was the worst BBQ chicken pizza I ever had!!!!! My daughter hated hers too!!! Crust was flat and tasteless and the chicken is some kind of sliced chicken that was dry as hell!!! And the flavor of the BBQ sauce was awful!!! Maybe the other food they have is good but they don't know a damn thing about making pizza!!! It amazes me how someone can be in business serving this type of food!!! read more

This was my experience at this restaurant. It looked clean and spacious. Menu items appear robust. I ordered grilled steak sandwich. I was not impressed. There was no taste to it. I ended up eating half of the sandwich. My son ordered the Mac & cheese, which was how we decided to come here. The picture online displays the Mac and cheese as a heathy portion. When he received it, it was about half of what was pictured. I tried to fill my drink with some sort of beverage but all the fountain drinks had too much carbonation. I settled for the weak sweet tea. I will not be back ever!!! I'm taking my son to get Mac & cheese from Panera now. Spend your money some where else. read more

Always have stale crackers to go with your $10 bowl of soup. Not good! Come on, it should be easy to provide fresh crackers.

We were so excited when we learned that Newk's was opening in the Kennesaw area. We've been twice now and it's tough to know which is better - the food or the service. Both are outstanding! Tonight we witnessed a customer who was unbelievably rude to the manager, who was patient, kind and deferential - much more than I would have been given the guy was being a huge jerk. The staff at Newk's is always helpful and very attentive. The pizzas (especially the sausage and pepperoni and the five cheese) are delicious and the salads are fantastic. read more

First and last visit 1. Thought it'd be like F2O but better since they have pizza 2. Get there and they said they're out of pizza dough 3. While we waited FIFTEEN minutes for our salads and Mac and cheeses... we saw TWO customers after us get pizza 4. I ordered steak salad that was $10. No seasoning on the steak and it was served on romaine?? Not what it said on the menu. But I'm a breastfeeding mother who needed to eat. So I did. 5. Kids mac and cheese was so small my six year old ate some of my depressing salad 6. We all left still hungry I don't know if the previous reviewers were compensated or if Newk's had an off night but YOU STEERED US WRONG! I'm super disappointed and we won't be going back. read more

I received a buy one get one free coupon, so we decided to try Newk's. Upon ordering we were informed that we were required to buy two drinks at $2.39 each in order to use the coupon. Sure enough, it was in the grey fine print that drinks must be purchased. It's not unusual to require a drink purchase, but I feel it was deceitful to post it in fine print instead of being up front with this rule. We each ordered the steak sandwich which was tough and tasteless. A bag of Lay's chips comes with the sandwich, but we were not offered a flavor and instead were given plain chips. In conclusion, we were underwhelmed and will not be back. read more

I am SO excited Newks is in west Cobb! I've been a fan for years. To me, Newks is what you want Jason's Deli to be. Fresh salads, sandwiches, pizzas, etc. I always get the Black and Blue salad (without onions...)-- and it's always delicious. It's clean and has quick service. Decided to give News ago last note. After reviewing the menu, decided to try the Shrimp PO Boy. I was enticed that the menu said it had 12 plump shrimp. Try 8! Additionally ordered coleslaw and they gave me pasta salad which was very bland. I did not complain because it was real busy. They had their shot with my being a patron....not impressed. read more

The "Newks Que" sandwich is very delicious. The bread they use has the right amount of crispiness to it without being too hard. The portion size is good. You must try the baked potato soup! Very creamy and tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was too. My wife and I will be back!!! read more

I was really excited to try this place because I had heard great things. I was less than impressed especially for the amount of money that we paid for our lunch. The service was good. The counter staff was very pleasant and quite helpful. When you come it, there is a large menu to the left instead of above the counter staff so it does make it awkward and you feel a bit rushed trying to read the menu and continue to move up in the line especially if it is your first time(like mine) It might be nice to have a paper menu that you can hold and read while in line. The line moved fairly quickly and the food came after a short wait and was brought to our table. 2 salads and two drinks set us back nearly $30 which is a bit steep considering this isn't a restaurant with a wait staff. The chicken in my salad was pretty good though I expected a warm grilled chicken not thick sliced deli chicken that was cold. The honey mustard dressing was very spicy which is different but not a huge deal. What really turned me off was the brown salad. Nearly half of my salad had brown pieces which is utterly disgusting and it is certainly not what I expected for an expensive salad(not when I can pay much less at chick fil a and the salad NEVER has brown pieces) My husbands salad was the same. Where they score points is when we asked for the manager and he came right over and apologized. He offered to remake the salad HIMSELF. My husband also asked for no parmesan cheese but we found out it was already added into the dressing and he said no big deal I'll just eat it then. The manager picked out all the parmesan cheese pieces out of his salad(on his own without us asking) and made sure he only got fresh salad(no brown) So the manager saved this from being a one star review. I don't think we will visit this particular location again as my husband has been to another location and said that the food was stellar. They have a large menu with everything from sandwiches and soups to artisan pizzas. I cannot speak for those items but I do NOT recommend the salads. read more

Food is wonderful, however wait is to long. Don't expect to be in and hour with in an hour. Location is still too new to understand the volume they are receiving. The Buckhead and Perimeter locations are worth the drive. read more

Brought the family here for lunch on Easter Sunday and was very disappointed. I frequent the midtown location quite a bit and have always been pleased with it. We were excited to have this one open near our house, but this was our first and last visit to this location. They messed up my wife's order and it took them three tries and 40 minutes to get it right. By that time, the kids and I have already finished our meal and we had to take hers to go. The manager was not even very apologetic. She was so frustrated, she didn't even want to eat it. They will not being seeing us here again. read more

Food is always good but service my last two times has been sub par. On my last encounter I paid extra for a salad and added chicken which is also an up charge. After we seat ourselves we wait about 20 min for them to bring our food forgetting the chicken in the salad. I told the waitress and she questioned me about my receipt as if I was lying. I showed her anyways and it took another 15 min to bring my correct chicken ceased sale to my table. Disappointed,especially when I'm a local resident to this location. I came here a couple of days ago with a good friend of mine and it was hands down one of the best lunch experiences I've had in this type of restaurant. We both tried the six cheese bacon and pimento mac and cheese and it was delicious. It was inexpensive and definitely well worth the money paid. I wish there was an extra menu above the registers just so things were a little less crowded at the front. The entire restaurant was clean and you could tell one cashier was in training but the other girl was very knowledgeable about the menu and both girls were very sweet and smiled the entire time. The cards on the table read something along the lines of "we will greet you the second you walk in the door" and they did. To us and everyone else. The "little round table to their left" was pretty neat and completely complimentary. A manager stopped by to make sure that everything was good and the kitchen looked clean and efficient. The to-go counter also looked organized and convenient. There is a ton of seating, and there is even sweet tea sweetened with Splenda. (I thought it was pretty cool even though I like my sugar.) Went there tonight for the first time, looked crowded but service was really fast. food was excellent, fresh and hot. Our group had mac and cheese, sandwich with chili, pizzas and cake all excellent. The manager made the rounds to speak to everyone, making sure everyone was happy. the little boy at the next table got a piece of cake from the manager for his birthday. Friendly and very clean. A little cramped for parking but it was a Friday night, well worth it though. We will definitely be back. read more
