Ate there for the first time yesterday. Had a seasonal sandwich called The Boss "Q" and it was DELICIOUS. I'm talking one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. That white sauce is to die for! Sad that it's only seasonal. Had the pulled pork & corn chowder soup and it was pretty good. Also had the crawfish pepper jack soup it was pretty darn good. This is my favorite lunch spot. It's always busy during lunch but you get your order very fast. The shrimp caesar salad is the best.

I live in an apartment upstairs from them and have temporary handicap that's left me unable to walk. They wouldn't deliver a meal to literally up the elevator. Guess the patronage I've given is ended now. Btw were quite blunt about it. Foods good but the service quality cannot be repaired in my eyes. read more

The food is good. I got an Italian sandwich. But it was small and expensive. Would have taken like $30 to fill me up with sandwich.

Used to be quite decent when they opened. However, service has really gone down hill. The place is often dirty, the condiment bar is trashed and often empty of the items they are supposed to provide (and I'm not talking during massive rush time either). I've waited well over 20 minutes for a simple soup & salad - when no one else was there. Watched a guy texting - when he finally put his phone down, my order came out (soup & salad and an empty restaurant really shouldn't take THAT long). I've ordered sandwiches and didn't get my chips. And when I get my soup & salad - you NEVER know what size salad or soup you are going to get. I always say soup/salad combo - they will ring it up as one salad and one bowl or they will do a combo (different prices). Sometimes the salads are large or small. Soup may be large or small. Kind of annoying. I highly suggest you ask for your dressing on the side if you are eating in - went with some friends once and there was so much dressing on the salad, we couldn't eat it. To add insult to injury - numerous times I have ordered the Caesar salad and there was only lettuce and the dressing in there. No croutons, no cheese (you can get this at the condiment bar) but some friends of mine didn't know that and walked out with their order. Needless to say, they have nothing complimentary to say about the place. He said it happened to him at another one, too - so they've written this place off. They charge too much for a salad to just get some lettuce & dressing, I don't care what your condiment table holds. 11.10.15 Update: Last night I got a soup and salad - much of the lettuce was brown & wilted, the salad did not have dressing included, two croutons and a smattering of cheese. I looked inside, but thought the salad was just covering the dressing container. I give up. It's time to stop spending my money at this place. Way too many mistakes for a place that I stop in at least once a week for sure, sometimes more. Some of their sandwiches are pretty decent (someone mentioned them being small...I respectfully disagree) but you can get a half sandwich, too. Since they are good at mistakes.... Some of the sandwiches are too plain Jane - it was a pretty pathetic dinner. They sound good on the menu, but blah. Just bad sandwiches. But, it's also true at any place you have to find what you like so that may be a personal issue. I have not tried their pizza's and their "homemade" cakes are edible, but nothing that inspire me. You may have a pleasant experience here...or you may not. The employees are usually nice - no complaints there. On a side note, I prefer Jason's Deli. Farther drive but better service and quality. At least when I leave with a salad there - I get a MUCH better bang for my buck because I made it and I know everything I want is included. My new favorite place to go! The half n half sandwich and soup thing just so wonderful! They provide variety of choices and I just crave the veggie club recently! The price is good with the portion and also they have great services and environment! Love this place! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is great but it expensive for what you get and the menu is incredibly inflexible. Every time I try to exchange one topping for another (for instance asking to add avocado but hold the bacon or ask for roast beef on a sandwich instead of chicken) the manager makes the cashiers charge $2.59! This place has the freshest most amazing food. Just tried the pepper jack crawfish soup. OMG! Not only is there food amazing so is there customer service. I received a full meal today for my birthday just for being a member of the email club. Thank you guys!!! read more

Went here for lunch and it was busy. Lot of food for a decent price. I got the Cobb Salad here since I didn't feel like driving up University to go to ZaZa in the Heights and this place filled satisfied my Cobb Salad craving. However, finding a table in this place during lunch is horrible. Yes there was a lot of people there for lunch, but also there were a lot of tables that had yet to be cleaned so service could be much better. I'll definitely be back though to try their other dishes. read more

Not bad if you need something quick. I got the avocado shrimp salad which had old and over riped avocados on it. The tomato basil soup was also just so so. A little bit bland in my opinion. Their pizzas looked really good though! read more

Salad bars are just about a thing of the past anymore but don't give up salad fans...there is Newt's Eatery in Hot Springs, AR on Higdon Ferry Rd by Sam's, where salads are big, fresh and wonderful tasting:) They also have soups and sandwiches too. Looking for layered cakes by the slice or whole cake anyone? They 've got that too:) I was waited on by several during my visit. Service was fast and friendly and the store was clean. I had the Ultimate Full Salad and took 1/3 of it home with my new plastic cup of Coke Zero and slice of Chocolate cake. How sweet it is. $15-16.00 for a meal that went for 2 meals for me. Can't beat it. Oh yeah, they had cucumbers in my salad too, unlike the salad bar I went to last time on Airport Rd. Great bread and butter pickles that were sooo chrunchy, refreshing, sweet, and tangy:) Great place. A must try. read more

Unfortunately, no greeting when i walked in. Every table I went to was dirty. Either they don't remember to wipe tables after people eat, or they just DON'T CARE. I asked about the soups, and the lady talked as if she was the speaker at an auction. Neither I, nor my mate, could understand her. My sandwich was cold. My salad had tons of burned croutons in it. I just had the feeling that they didn't want any customers. On the good side. My mate liked his food. This is the third time I've been here and I've not had one really pleasant experience. So, even though they list all the soups on the menu, you can only get what's the soups of the day. Also, out of all of their salads, there are only two available on the half soup half salad. Recommend Jason's Deli as a better alternative. read more

DONT EAT HERE!! Used to work here and I can tell you they have a gnat infestation under the drink station, and there "easy bake Ovens" are absolutely disgusting, with black burnt stuff all over the bottom of food!! Rarely Cleaned, and theres no professional cleaning crew to ensure the nooks and crannies are up to par!! Soup Bowls sit months in dust!! They lose hundreds of dollars a month due to not being able to get a simple order right!!!Several Mexicans do food prep and I never NOT ONCE saw them come in to work and wash there hands!! They are a bad day away from a serious health risk!!! Will NEVER recommend this location or any other!! read more

Your University store is a really nice looking place it's clean and I love the fact that your menu is different. I love my novelty cup. However today was my first experience and I came because of a referral. I let the person at the ordering register know that it was my very first visit. Either she was new herself or you need someone else to handle your customers who is more customer service savvy. No one was rude or anything like that it just that at your price point you could stand to be a whole lot more in engaged with customers. The food was fresh but I wasn't given a choice of dressing with my salad and I got "honey mustard" (already on it I don't really care for that type of dressing, I like Ranch) The person who brought my order out didn't seem to have a clue how to fix this issue. Also you need someone to come out and check in with customers (you are a casual dining obviously) it would be a nice touch since everything else is pretty much self serve (drinks, condiments). To be transparent I probably wont be back on my own,( unless someone invites me and they are paying) but if I do come back I hope you take my suggestion serious (being more engaged with customers).
