We have been with Dr Koppel for at least a year now and my daughter loves him. He is so kind and patient and always listens to her concerns. For years I've been going to a dentist I really like in San Diego. However, one of my favorite hygienist and doctor left so I was stuck trying to find a place. Also, with my kids now needing their teeth cleaned, I had to get something near them. I did my research and found this place. I was nervous for my daughter but she did awesome. All those weeks of me prepping her about the dentist paid off. She was so brave. It also helped that the assistants and hygienist were so friendly to her. They greeted my girls with smiles and kind words. They put on cartoons for them in the waiting room and again on tv in front of the dental chair. We were given these sunglasses to protect our eyes and my girl did awesome. I think I was more nervous for them but it worked out well. I had to do some dental work follow up which isn't great, but it is what it is. I take better care of my teeth than my husband and yet I'm the one who needs to do something at all times. I did get told that my teeth are really white and I brush very well. My youngest daughter isn't on the insurance yet so I couldn't get her teeth cleaned but I amped her up so much that she was sad she wasn't getting her teeth cleaned. So the hygienist made her feel included by putting her in the chair and counting her teeth. She loved it and thought it was awesome. This place lost a star because it doesn't open on weekends like my old dental place and I chose 4:30 pm for my appointment since I have to rush out of work to come here, but they had me down for 4, so I got a call asking if I was coming. I know I chose the latest time possible because it's not easy for me to get out of work for dentist work, so they messed that up. It's fine though. When we left, I got a quote for everything that needs to get done, the girls got a goodies bag with toothbrush, floss, stickers, etc. and they got to pick toys from the toy chest and chapsticks. They had such a great time, they asked to come back tomorrow. I'm glad my girls like the dentist more than I do. read more

Even with the pandemic, I was able to schedule an appointment within the week. Very neat and clean office and waiting area and super nice staff. first impressions were great, haven't been to a dentist out here. The dental hygienist, Amanda, was an absolute professional. I've never been fond of dental work or the pain it comes with it but she never made me feel too much and was always reassuring me that she could stop at any moment. Do NOT go to this dentist!! They are not honest about what they are charging you and if they are in your network. My husband went in there in pain and they took advantage of that. Told him they take our insurance, did not tell him he was out of network and charged him hundreds of dollars for a cleaning! Did nothing for his tooth! All they want is your money. That's it!! So they refer me to a oral surgeon. So on my way out the insurance is not paying because they are saying it was a emergency visit? Right I never wanted it to be . Very friendly staff and professional. The facility itself was clean and innovative. They have 3D printers that come in handy when you need something on the fly. The dental hygienist I had was awesome. She was vey communicative and detailed. The whole staff seamed to have great communication skills they even had radios to talk through when something was urgent. They recommended me to the Orthodontist upstairs and I'm so great til they did, his office is something else. The only issue I had was the parking lot. It was tough to find an open spot. So I would suggest arriving early to make sure you find parking on time. Also don't miss the turn! It creeps up on ya. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Nguyen and his entire staff. My husband and I have been patients of his since moving to Temecula in 2003. I started out as a dental-phobe and over the years, his gentle manner and confident demeanor have really helped me overcome my stress and anxiety. I still don't love going to the dentist (who does?!) but it's so reassuring to know that when I have to go, it's to someone I like and trust. We followed Dr Nguyen to his new office, Newport Commons Dental Care, after he moved to Menifee. It is testament to how good he is that many of his former patients also did the same and ended up following him too. Everytime I'm in the waiting room, I end up chatting with other Dr Nguyen-lovers and we wind up comparing stories about how much we like him. Seriously - a good dentist is hard to find! His wife runs his office and she is very friendly and helpful. Our kids currently go to a pediatric dentist but when they are a little bit older they'll start seeing Dr Nguyen too. I especially appreciate how competent Dr Nguyen is at tooth-saving technologies like inlays/onlays. Also I haven't needed one but he does implant dentistry as well. His office has all the latest technology including digital x-rays taken right from the dental chair with a wand (no more rough cardboard bitewings) and the CEREC machine which mills crowns while you wait. I also like that Dr Nguyen is sensitive to cost issues. If you ask him what absolutely is urgent and what can wait, you'll get an honest answer. read more

If you have ANY anxiety DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. This doctor will leave you with teeth rotting out of you mouth until you solve your dental fears/anxieties on your own. He will ACT as though they will offer sedation but when it comes down to it they will make you jump though hoops and never actually get anything done. My 19yr old son was in need of multiple root canals & filings, the treatment plan was written up in April/May ... after multiple attempts we determined that he would need to be sedated. Appointment, with sedation, was set in August (mind you this was 4mths later). The morning of the appointment I was told they couldn't do the sedation without a full physical & medical clearance. I explained to them that we are Kaiser patients and the next available Physical Appt was not for another 2mths. At this point my son was continuously swollen & in intense pain ... but his legitimate dental anxiety was still present. This doctor refused to do anything for my son, his patient. I finally took my son to a new dentist ... he was sedated and all work was completed within two weeks at the new office. It was a surprisingly easy process. Not to mention , the patient cost portion of the treatment plan was $600 less that what this office had quoted. I obtained care from this office for a few years and the care i received was good. That is why I was trying so hard to remain with this doctor. The solution was simple ... the doctor could have just admitted his short comings .... he could have simply said, "I do not treat patients with high anxiety issues. Before your sons' teeth get any worse I recommend that you seek help from another office" .... boom, problem would have been solved & I would not be writing this review. OPINION: The only reason I can think of, for him not recommending a different office ..... well, he wanted to get paid. He stood to loose THOUSANDS of $$ if we went somewhere else. He wanted the payday, to be the one to make the money. read more

Since about a week ago, I've had three visits to this office and have received nothing but wonderful service. The people there treat you with kindness and the utmost care, they remember your name and are sensitive to your concerns. I fell ill one morning and called last minute to cancel, not only were they understanding and let me reschedule, but they asked how I was my next visit. Today I went in for some work, a porcelain overlay was one of the things required and during the whole procedure they made sure I was comfortable. At one point, due to my anxiety, I was finding it very difficult to breathe and my hands and legs felt numb. Dr. Nguyen and his wonderful dental assistant took a minute to help ease my anxiety and calm me down. I was able to take as long as I needed to return myself to a normal state and we then proceeded. Dr. Nguyen and both his dental assistant both seemed very genuinely concerned for my well being and we spoke about things related to these anxiety episodes I've had. He doesn't just care for your dental health, but your overall health and that made me feel very at ease with the good doctor. Not only is he a good dentist, but he has great advice. Plus, the apple juice he may offer is yummy! Thank you all for the wonderful experience. To the receptionist, the dental assistants, to the great Dr. Nguyen himself. This place is amazing. The nicest, most honest, high-tech, and friendly dentist office I have ever been to. My extended family referred me - I asked them who they use because their whole family's teeth are always perfect and they love them. (Western Dental did HORRIBLE work and treated my children horribly, so I was desperate for a great dentist). They are NOT the office that will try to hard-sell you on ridiculous toothbrushes and 'deep cleanings' that you don't need. My husband and I hadn't been in 2 years yet they were honest and told us we had taken good care of our teeth and only needed the work we knew we would need fixed done, and regular cleaning. Absolute best hygienist cleaning I have ever had. I feel blessed to finally have a great trustworthy dentist! So professional and such high quality work. My only complaint is that they don't take dentical/IEHP, so my children have to see a different dentist. But I finally found an excellent childrens dentist as well for them so we are set! read more
