However the front office staff was rude and in different from the first time I walked in. For my second appointment they were even worse. I paid the co-pay then they wanted to be paid more. She said you pay the fee for the procedure then he will have time for you. I asked to get a report of my visit she said it's not ready till "end of the day" today is 2nd day after my visit and still did not receive it. He doubled the fee of the Procedure code. People be aware what your insurance is getting billed for & if you are cash patient be extra careful of these money hungry doctors that they only care for their pocket and prestige. Background: I was in town for business when I was experiencing trouble focusing my left eye. Then all of the sudden I noticed a dark circle in my field of vision. This was Friday evening. Long story short, I was lucky to catch Dr. Kawji on a Saturday morning right after he was getting out of surgery. (From what I understand, Ophthalmologists aren't usually open on Saturday). He took me in even though he was about to go home. After some initial tests, he told me what he thought the diagnosis was, and then ran a test on the OCT to confirm his suspicion. I felt confident the entire time there that Dr. Kawji knew what he was doing. The entire experience was comforting. Dr. Kawji and Jennifer have been absolutely amazing! I went in after a LASIK consultation (somewhere else) in which they found out I had a condition in my retina on both eyes. I called and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kawji immediately after learning about my lattice. Literally two days later I was at his clinic, where he thoroughly examined both my retinas, explained the condition and also what the treatment should be. The next day I was in for my barrage laser appointment (to treat the lattice), and I couldn't be happier. He made the procedure seem easy and it went by pretty quickly. I recommend calling in to check if they take your insurance. I got a referred here from an optometrist because my retinas were quite thin. I'm only 24, but I have myopia and, I am paranoid of having my retina detached. Seeing Dr. Kawji bi-annually has given me some comfort. Every time I go for my appointments, I never feel rush, he takes his time, and explains everything. He was able to identify some small tears in my retina and laser it back.
