Over the past years we have been renting…read morenumerous vacation homes from Sweet Homes and they have been very responsive to our needs and requests. Over the last two years we have rented the same house in Waldport and each time we arrive we report back to Sweet Homes on items that need attention. In the past they have been very responsive but we noticed the change this past June and July of this year (2026). In June we reported that the bathroom sinks were sluggish and one of the traps were not working. We also reported that the rug in front of the kitchen sink should be replaced because it was very dirty, slippery and a trip factor. These items were not taken care of during our stay in June. Upon our return in July, these items were still outstanding in addition to a very sticky floor in front of the fireplace. On our second night, the smoke/CO monitor in our bedroom went off at 2am, and then again at 5am. I reported it to management the next morning. I didn't hear from them for two days and had to recontact them again. Their response was for me to change the battery. I told them that these monitors are battery-less, and that the monitor needed to be replaced. After my insistence, they finally sent a young man out to replace the defective monitor. In summary, we have noticed that Sweet Homes have not been as responsive to requests as they have been in the past. Sincerely S. Hom

I told him this was illegal and he needed to accommodate us. He said "aren't there any other options out there for you..what?? He stated they had not allowed dogs for over 30 years and wished me luck and hung up. He has been reported to the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice

I did some research to find a place to break away from our kids on a family vacation and found them. (My kids stayed with my Mom) Brandon, Ibin, and Lydas warmth of care to our needs was amazing. They offered a happy hour apon arrival. The morning breakfast seriously was to die for. Ibin was an amazing Chef. We wanted to stay permanently!!!! We did stay 2 nights, back to back. We were in room 4. We had the most beautiful view. It was quiet and we didn't hear other guests or the fisherman right outside. I just wish we could go back. It was seriously such a relaxing time to break away on our vacation and spend time together. The bed was so comfortable. It swallowed you up into a deep sleep. The bedding was so comfy. The towels were awesome. You can even purchase them all on site. I bought a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a beanie just to wear back at home in IdaHOME to advertise so I can tell people all about this place. Thank you Brandon, Ibin, and Lyda. We will be back!

And I've stayed at motels for $50 due to fishing and lack of rooms available. To start off, we couldn't get in our room because the code wasn't working. We tried for an hour to get a hold of the owner. Once we did, he was unkind and disrespectful and unsympathetic. Normally we'd be upset about this but to top it off, this is our honeymoon weekend and this place was the only place available with in our price range. It is very nicely decorated and cute so that's not a problem. Looks clean as well. But the owner was just awful. Then the bed. Again, what beds were you sleeping in? Both of us struggled and woke up hurting. Perhaps it's just this room but the pictures on two other reviews here show the same room we stayed in. There's holes in the wall too. They're not huge but an easy fix. Overall I would not stay here again one, because the owner was so rude to us. Not a way we want to start out our honeymoon. Two, because the bed was the absolute worst. You couldn't pay me to sleep on the bed again. So disappointing because this place is truly clean and very well decorated.

Because of the fires in Oregon, we had to move our grand-daughter's wedding at the last minute from a national forest near Mount Hood to the coast because of the smoke from the wildfires. This hotel provided us with the rooms we needed. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by Pete when we walked into the hotel. We felt right at home. The lobby was stunning. They had coffee, and water there 24/7 for their guests. We were quickly checked in and off to our rooms on the first floor. Our rooms were side by side and identical. We each had a two-room suite with a separate living room with a desk with a lamp, a mirror over it, telephone, a chest of drawers, sofa bed, ottoman, pole lamp, along with a flat-screen TV. The next hallway had a sink, long counter, tea/coffee machine, microwave, large mirror and mini refrigerator. There was a full bath with a shower, single sink, hairdryer, large mirror, towels, and rubber mat for the bathtub. The bedroom had a king size bed with lots of pillows, mirrored closet doors, ironing board, iron, sockets on both sides of the bed, alarm clock, nightstands, and bedside lamps. The hotel offered free Wi-Fi. And the HVAC worked great. The room were spotless. In addition, our stay included breakfast. Every morning from 6:00 to 10:00 AM they served breakfast in two dining rooms. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices were available. They had hot and cold cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, tater tot potatoes, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, various yogurts, along with apples and oranges. You could make your own waffles. Something for everyone. We were exceedingly pleased with our stay and highly recommend La Quinta.
