As a child, I spent every summer, springbreak, Thanksgiving break, and Christmas in Glen Eden at our family vacation home. I never knew the Newport Belle exusted. I did some research to find a place to break away from our kids on a family vacation and found them. (My kids stayed with my Mom) Brandon, Ibin, and Lydas warmth of care to our needs was amazing. They offered a happy hour apon arrival. The morning breakfast seriously was to die for. Ibin was an amazing Chef. We wanted to stay permanently!!!! We did stay 2 nights, back to back. We were in room 4. We had the most beautiful view. It was quiet and we didn't hear other guests or the fisherman right outside. I just wish we could go back. It was seriously such a relaxing time to break away on our vacation and spend time together. The bed was so comfortable. It swallowed you up into a deep sleep. The bedding was so comfy. The towels were awesome. You can even purchase them all on site. I bought a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a beanie just to wear back at home in IdaHOME to advertise so I can tell people all about this place. Thank you Brandon, Ibin, and Lyda. We will be back!

They text you when your room is ready, so you may be able to check-in earlier than the normal 4pm. Check out is at 11am, which was perfect for us. They offer a nice happy hour from 5-6pm. Two complimentary drinks with appetizers. There are various games available and plenty of sitting areas for a fully reserved boat. There are 5 rooms avaliable, all with views of the harbor and marina. Three rooms have king beds, and two rooms have queen beds. All rooms have their own bathrooms. The rooms offer many amenities...shampoo, conditioner, body wash, eye masks and ear plugs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, keurig coffee maker, water with glasses, mini refrigerator, luggage rack, bathrobes, etc. We didn't want for anything during our stay. Brandon was super friendly, welcoming, attentive, helpful and accommodating. Paige made our breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! She was also friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We met Lexi when we arrived and she was also friendly and welcoming. Everyone was so nice and all the food and drinks were delicious! A nice variety of options to satisfy any guest. Overall we were super impressed. We're already trying to figure out when we can stay again! Highly recommend!

Their listings include houses and condos available in all sizes, some pet friendly, some with hot tubs, some with fireplaces, and some with even a garage to park in! The check-in and check-out times are reasonable, as well as cleaning fees. Everyone I've worked with for our reservations have been helpful and accommodating. Their website is user-friendly and making reservations online is a breeze. I would definitely recommend them.

Sadly, our two-week stay in Feb. and March -- planned as a celebration of a 78th birthday -- was significantly undermined by Sweet Homes' mismanagement. We arrived to a freezing house with a broken heat pump. Over the first two days we made 16 calls to Sweet Homes, most of which went unanswered for hours. VRBO ultimately had to intervene. Both suggested moving us to another property. Sweet Homes offered one nearby the first night, but we were exhausted from a very long drive and the whole unpacking process. And we had chosen this property specifically for its fenced yard for our two small dogs; alternate properties couldn't match that. Space heaters helped, together with the gas fireplace and baseboard heaters in the bedrooms and baths, but it was still drafty. A technician eventually came, but even with express-shipped parts the heat pump was never repaired. We went the entire two weeks without it. Additional issues included a broken ice maker, missing fireplace remote, non-working DVD players, and a home that hadn't been thoroughly cleaned--dusty surfaces, cobwebs, and dirty windows that obscured the beautiful views when sunlight broke through. We also wish Sweet Homes had warned us about the hazardous beach access, particularly since they knew our ages. We lost at least three days of our vacation to these problems. The owners deserve far better management.

Our guide Gary got everyone all safetied up and vested. The boat was a kickass Zodiac that was nimble and stable as we passed sunbathing seals on our way out of narrow Depoe Bay harbor and into the Pacific. We motored just a short bit before we were trolling and watching whales feeding in the kelp beds. It was an amazing experience. I could be greedy and wish for a full breach. But, really everything after you see that first whale is all gravy. Sometimes life just comes up all Milhouse for you. Whales all day, tip your Captain

The dry camping parking lot is great for an overnight stay while on a road trip. The hookup sites are nice for longer stays. We came and parked overnight while staying on the moored paddleboat B&B, Newport Belle. The marina parking was paved and felt safe. There are restrooms and showers available to overnight guests. They also have a fish cleaning station. There's a market on site where you can purchase fishing licenses, drinks and snacks. Everything was clean and maintained. People were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend.
