Their food is great. It's basically a take-out only place. They always have fresh rice, their egg rolls and won-ton soup are very tasty, their lunch specials are affordable and generous good food. As a bonus, to be able to see the chefs cooking in the kitchen is always good. Their service is good as they are almost always able to prepare your meal in the time frame they give you. The ambiance is that of a well ordered industrial kitchen. There are several drinks to choose from in their refrigerators. I eat here several times a month if I have the time. My parents told me about this so i tried it. It's in a small plaza and parking can be weird but the food is exceptional. Truly. The egg rolls aren't saturated in oil and grease, almost taste baked. The fried rice too. I had boneless spare ribs and they were leaps and bounds better than anything I've ever had. They had a barbecue grill flavor to them and super fresh. Won ton soup was great. Better than decent stuff. A lot of solid hits. Combo plates are great value. I think I've tried everything on they have. A couple of things could have been better, but I can't say to stay away from anything. Very tight operation when they are full underway, the managers are coordinating it well, the galley is full of action, the front counter is busy and polite. Fantastic Chinese takeout. I don't know why, but this was some of the best takeout we've had since moving back to Jersey. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh. Doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside. But the food is amazing. The best dumplings i have ever had and I grew up in a Asian community and have traveled all over the united states and this place is truly the best where i was forced to write a review because it was so incredible. The orange chicken is OK but the fried rice is made very traditional with a taste that can only be passed down from generation to generation. I've been going here for many yrs,however i stopped ordering from them many yrs ago,because the ribs tasted more like mystery meat than ribs. I decided to order from them the other night. Well i do not know what has happened,but the food was exceptional! Never tasted Chinese that was this good in my life or had crab rangoon like these! The ribs were also incredible! No. I called to ask if we could place an order to Stillwater, as we were working. The person who answered the phone said yes and we gave a farily large order. We waited an hour and a half and still didn't get any food. The woman who was working called back and told us the delivery driver couldn't find our address. He was two minutes away; we mapped it on google maps. We explained directions to her and she responded by saying she cancelled the order. TWO MINUTES AWAY! Now we have hungry people working for us, and nowhere else to order any dinner from. Whoever took the phone order was given instructions and very detailed directions (he was very nice, so nothing against him). The lady on the phone was extremely rude and had no care for hungry people. We asked if he could try to deliver again and she said she would call back in 2 minutes. It's been 20. No call back. It's Chum Bo for me from now on, I suppose. Excuse me while I have my employees go gnaw on grass in the back. UPDATE: we received a call back. They aren't charging us. Much appreticated, Newtown. Upon the comments from fellow yelpers, I actually altered my normal chinese food order and went with their recommendations. I ordered the Peanut Wontons. Verdict: 10. If you love Sesame Oil like I do, you'll love this appetizer. Also ordered the ribs: they were out of bone-in ribs, and the girl who took my order sold me on trying the boneless ribs. Verdict: 10. Most of the Chinese food places are sub par in the area, and I took a shot, traveling a little farther than normal in hopes I'd get some decent food. Well, I am happy to report that the food here was really good, and worth the few extra minutes. Easy online ordering. They even texted me to let me know when my food would be ready. Having read the reviews, I decided to visit, and it paid off for me. Steamed veg dumplings had a good texture and nice filling... Scallion pancake was good and fried without being greasy, and the sauce was perfect --a little sweet with scallions. Cold sesame noodles (one of my favorites) were OK, not the best I've had but passable. Veg spring roll was as expected, and the GF says the veg fried rice was good, but she didn't share. I see the last review was from four years ago. Let's get an update! I am trying to be fair, and assume our experience was just this place having an off day. We looked at google reviews and assumed this food would be ok. Upon coming home, I was hoping for the best. Our guests immediately found dark black hairs in the food. This happens I guess. They were naturally turned off. Another guest found what could only be explained as "chin" hairs in their food. Double yuk. Needless to say, we all lost our appetite. I think I'm done with Chinese food for a while. To this place I'd say, good luck to those who have positive experiences. To the business, I say, think of using a hair net! This is an immediate lost customer. I drove across town and you would have had a loyal client. I see no point in giving you a hard time as what is the point. Health and safety doesn't deserve a round two. Sadly, this is the second Chinese establishment I've had to rate with a less than favorable review. I/we love Chinese. I have a child who adores it. I had to rate this 5 stars as I love fresh Quality Chinese food! I am a foodie so trust me when I give 5 stars this it is a true rating. I am traveling through Jersey and Pennsylvania for work and unfortunately have to eat out a lot so I'm always looking for good food. I started out with the hot and sour soup it was fresh and hot. I then moved on to the spring rolls which were over-the-top. They were light and fresh you could definitely tell they were hand rolled to perfection and the filling was also light and fresh. I was pretty impressed. Definitely a must order! I can't tell you how many times I've ordered spring rolls and they come in the shape of an egg roll deeply fried and stuffed full of who knows what. For my entree I ordered the crispy shredded beef with vegetables, the first thing I noticed was that the meal was not only hot but still crispy. Plus and more plus! There are many times I ordered Chinese food that came hot but was totally soggy this was definitely a plus! This dish was advertised as spicy and was not so spicy at all so the only thing I would suggest is add extra spicy when you order if you like it hot. Last of all when I placed my order it said 45 minutes for delivery - my order arrived to my hotel within 20 minutes it was excellent! Kudos to this restaurant! I buy take out from there when I do eat chines the food is really pretty good and is always ready when you get ther. Prices are reasonable also. Definitely would recommend for a decent meal. read more
