I'm a longtime JINS customer, and when I needed to update my prescription, I decided to get my eye…read moreexam done through JINS this time. Their technician, Anthony was the one who helped conduct my exam. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and approachable. Unlike other places where I've had my eyes checked, I felt like JINS did a really thorough job of testing not only my vision, but also my depth perception, color deficiency, and peripheral vision. The last time I had my eyes checked at a different optometry place, I had to wait for over an hour even though I showed up on time. As I waited around, no one came to check in on me or apologize for the long wait. When it was finally my turn, my test was no longer than 5 minutes and I was told my vision hadn't changed. At JINS, I showed up on time and they took me in at the exact time my appointment was scheduled. I shared that I was uncomfortable with the puff-of-air test, but thank god they didn't have that machine and Anthony was able to measure my eye pressure using a different method. I also shared that I get nervous with things being so close to my eyes/face, so Anthony walked me through everything he was doing which helped ease my nerves. Keep in mind that the actual vision test was done through telemedicine, so the doctor wasn't physically on site. I was a little skeptical at first, but the Zoom call was high quality and I could hear the doctor clearly. It was so cool that she was able to conduct the exam remotely. She took the time to show me the pictures they took of my eyes and explain what I was looking at and why my eyes were healthy. It really is a comprehensive exam like they say it is! The whole process was surprisingly seamless and convenient, and I never felt like the telemedicine aspect took away from the quality of the exam. Afterwards, I asked Kelsey to help me pick out a new pair of glasses. She's helped style me in the past, and I've always been really happy with the frames she picks out for me. She was wearing these super cool Barbie glasses with rose pink lenses. She's such a fashion icon, so of course I always ask her to style me! She asked me how things were going, and I told her about how I couldn't work the last two days because of a migraine. She told me that she's spoken with customers who have had issues with migraines before and how wearing pink-tinted lenses helps with it. She let me try on pink demo lenses and they really did feel so much more comfortable to look through. I normally wear transition glasses because my eyes are so sensitive to light, and now I feel like I have an option to wear indoors as well for when my eyes feel strained! So now I needed help finding a pair of glasses that would also look good with pink lenses. She remembered that I'm a huge anime fan and she pulled out these really dope Naruto frames from the back and I was like yes these are the ones!! Anthony helped me out at checkout and the process was so seamless. I do have to wait 2-3 weeks for my pink glasses to come in but that time goes by fast and they text you when it's ready for pickup or shipping. And of course I don't want to forget the other service specialists that have helped me in the past. They're always so friendly and honest about what you actually need. I never feel like they're trying to upsell me or push products just to make a sale. Even though they're out of network for insurance, their glasses are incredibly affordable and I never feel like I'm breaking the bank trying to get a pair of glasses. They remember me from the last few times I came in to try on their collaboration glasses, and that always makes me feel welcomed and special. I actually wrote a review when I got my first pair of Snoopy glasses from JINS, and I've been back a few times since then. I want to highlight how consistent the staff and service is. The customer service is always great, and the staff genuinely makes the whole getting glasses experience enjoyable. If you have a pair of JINS glasses, they offer free adjustments, cleanings, and nose pad replacements. They're always dropping new styles and the glasses are all so lightweight and fashionable. I hated wearing glasses in the past, but now they're a staple in my closet that also allows me to see! JINS is the GOAT!

I live an hour and a half away, so this wasn't a quick trip. During my second visit, another employee took my measurements and told me everything was good. When I got my glasses in the mail, I realized they had never recorded the measurement I came back to give them. It finally made sense why Kim had texted me after my second visit saying I needed to come back, even though I had already been there. Because that measurement was never entered correctly, my glasses were made wrong. Everything was blurry, and wearing them made me dizzy. I even messaged Kim to ask if the measurement on my receipt was correct, and she told me it was. It wasn't. So I had to make a third trip back to the store. Valerie made the situation even more frustrating. She changed the measurement right in front of me but kept saying it had been correct the whole time. Then she pulled up my old measurements from the Del Amo location, where I had bought the exact same glasses before, crossed out the incorrect number on my receipt, and tried to print me a new one with the corrected measurements like that was supposed to fix everything. It didn't change the fact that I had already made three extra trips because of mistakes on their end. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication between employees, the repeated errors, and the way everything was handled made this a really disappointing experience.

I had ordered four pairs of glasses on Oakley's website and had them all shipped to the Arcadia store (the one by Nordstrom). Feliciano examined each pair carefully for defects and found one pair with a scratch from the factory. He immediately resolved the matter by refunding the cost and placing a new order for me and ensuring that the price was the same as the returned pair, which had a promo attached to it. He also taught me how to change out the nose pieces for another pair by demonstration. Feliciano did the perfect job. This is further confirmed by another review I see here on Yelp for Feliciano. His coworker who helped out looking for a replacement pair from store inventory was also top notch. Lastly, their presentation was top tier. Feliciano packaged everything up in this awesome bag with all glasses neatly lined up in their individual boxes. Could not have asked for a better experience! You can trust this store.

Today, I went to return them (unworn and still in the original packaging) and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment I walked into the store, I wasn't greeted... just looked at. I approached the checkout to process my return, and the employee, Vanessa, immediately appeared annoyed the moment I mentioned I didn't want to exchange, just return. Despite the fact that I received the sunglasses just yesterday, didn't wear them, and had placed them right back in the box, Vanessa claimed there was a "big scratch" on the lens and refused the return. Not only was her tone incredibly condescending, but I genuinely didn't see any visible scratch and if there is one, it may have been caused during her own rough handling while inspecting them. This was handled with zero professionalism. I've had positive experiences at other Sunglass Hut locations, but this one left me shocked. Vanessa could seriously benefit from basic customer service training. What a shame.

My…read morefiancé needed a new glasses prescription and our current optometry was close so we decided to chance it and come here since we had time and they had a slot available. Oh man, coming inside it was packed but it was so unorganized it made me feel anxious just by walking in! There's no reception area so there really wasn't a spot for you to come in and check in for your appointment. We had to stand around and hope we caught someone's eye to help us. While we were waiting the staff were arguing about a customer's order loudly in front of everyone! We all watched while they gas lit each other on who had the order or didn't have the order. That was crazy but good entertainment LOOL but that alone made me want to walk out but he wanted us to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once we finally got someone's attention he filled out his paperwork and again, had to wait for someone to get his paperwork and tell him what to do next. We waited for 15mins and finally we had to ask a staff walking by that we had an appointment and needed help! She told the other staff to take him and get his pre-appointment stuff started (checking eye pressure and all that jazz) We went to the other side of the store and I waited for him in the waiting room and you can see everything that was going on. The lady looked so lost on doing the whole thing and the thing that blows air into your eye? He got like shot a few times that his eyes got so dry and tired afterwards. Turns out we couldn't continue with our appointment because our insurance was on hold with another dr and we rescheduled to come back during the weekend. FYI - we did not, we just went to our usual optometry and were much happier there. Do your due diligence before coming here! One plus of coming here is I hear loads of different languages being spoken so it seems they are well versed in the Asian dialect LOL
