There was a burst pipe and he gave me an estimate $10,000 to fix the leak and reroute the pipe. so that all my water would continue to function normally again. Since the work was done in February, where we had a lot rain, my sprinklers were turned off. When I tried turning on my sprinklers again yesterday, it turns out that there was no water flowing through my sprinklers. I called Eduardo and he came by today and said that to fix the sprinklers, it would cost me extra and was not covered by the $10, 000 I already paid him. These people are absolute money pits. All they want to do is upsell. Not solve the current problem. The plumber came in and without even checking what the problem was started quoting $1,500 $1,800 to replace the entire drain line.. I asked to do a snake of the drain, they kept saying this is not going to solve a problem, and kept insisting to replace the entire drain line. I asked to do the snake. They did a hurryed up job and didn't even snake it properly and kept saying I told you so replace the drain. Called another company. Eduardo was very responsive when I requested for a quote on Yelp, he came early next morning to provide an estimate, explained the job he's performing and parts without surcharge from their supplier. After getting a couple quotes, I decided to go with New Era. Their competitive pricing and able to supply parts without surcharge won me over. I agree with the prior reviewer who mentioned how these guys seem to be a little on the unethical side. We had issues with our back-to-back bathroom setup over the holidays and called Eduardo from New Era. At first, I was really grateful for them showing up same-day to give me an in-person quote. However, once they actually get to work, you will realize that they are more interested in upselling you more than anything. What initially started as a snake attempt for a couple of hundred dollars quickly more than tripled with each new thing they wanted to try. In the end, we ended up paying over $600 for a failed snake attempt. When we asked Eduardo what else they could try to remedy the situation, he suggested creating a cleanout access. However, Eduardo did not even want to entertain our repeated request for a quote. He said he needed to cut holes into our tile wall first to determine where the affected pipe is BEFORE he even wanted to attempt a quote. Like, really, dude? You don't have any clue at all what this process would cost?!? I had to get multiple quotes for HOA reimbursement and nobody else that responded had any issues. What a joke. Stay away. read more
