Gary was great. He was knowledgeable for the plumbing issue and got the job done in good time. I had to get my water pressure relief valve (PRV) replaced and he had educated me on a few options but also cautioned me against some of the cheaper options thst would break down in a few years since the area that valve in was in direct sunlight. The plastic housings for the cheaper PRV were not a good choice so we ended up getting the brass one installed. He also was able to get another small project done for me in time as well to get a water line setup for me. Gary was professional, quick, and took care of the work with attention to detail. Costellos also got him out early morning so that was great. My issues were resolved the same day and Gary was transparent about pricing. Would highly recommend this company. I had a few problems at our house we bought and I called on a Sunday and Gary was honest with me and said they wouldn't be able to come out in a timely manner because they were so busy. It was a holiday weekend, of course. So I called back with the next problem we had and he sent a great plumber, Eddie to install a new bar sink in my kitchen. Crisis AVERTED on a Saturday afternoon, all because Gary at Costellos Plumbing answered my call and was able to fit me in as his "last stop" before beginning his well-earned weekend....today, thru Yelp, I found another "Angel who walks the Earth"...!!! When the family is out to visit my in-laws and I get to spend a quiet, peaceful few hours at home, alone, the last thing you expect to happen is an accidental broken fiberglass pipe on our outside irrigation station; yes it flooded the yard, yes, it took me time to find the main shut-off valve and YES, now I know, all I needed to shut off was the backyard water valve....education from Gary at "no extra charge"...!!! Gary was able to replace the broken part and reseal it with instructions to "let it cure" before we turn it back on to give it a test; so tomorrow it will be tested and I am totally confident it will be "just like new"....but he reaasure me if there are any leaks, etc, a call is all that will be required for him to return, inspect/fix...!!! Not too long ago I had a problem with my garbage disposal or something under the sink. I called Costello plumbing on a Monday morning. They were at my house Monday midday and the problem was fixed shortly thereafter. The owner came out and was very informative, assessed the situation and got to work. They also offer a senior citizen discount so I was happy about that but yes, if you have any type of plumbing problems, I highly highly highly recommend Costello's plumbing. They get the job done. We used Costello's Plumbing this past week to address a water hammer/pressure reducing valve issue. Communication was prompt with Miguel coming by the next day to look at the project. Had an issue with the main drain line in our older house backing up and showing at the lowest points (the bathtub and the toilet). Miguel came out to diagnose the problem, and then fixed the drain issue, replaced a broken junction (and another subsequent issue with the toilet flange rising about 2" above the sub flooring in the bathroom, a leftover from the previous owners). I tried to replace my outside hose and ended up messing up my very corroded head piece on the pipe. Miguel and Alex came out the next morning and had it fixed in less than an hour! Called Costello's Plumbing Company around 4pm and spoke with Gary, who immediately arranged for someone to come out by 5pm since I needed urgent help with a clogged toilet. The technician, Miguel, was extremely helpful and kept me in the loop the entire time, especially since I wasn't onsite. He shared photos and called me throughout the process so I always knew what was going on. Had I called another company, I likely would've spent more money, but he was honest and fair about what actually needed to be done. I thought the problem was a drain obstruction. Miguel came out and thoroughly checked out the drains all the way down to the end of the sewer lateral. Drainage in the pipes was not a problem. It turns out that I had three toilets that were on their last ​ ​ legs. Miguel gave me a very good price for replacing all three. We had a problem with our sewer line backing up. Called Costello's Plumbing and talked to Gary. They were quick to respond, called 3:15pm and the plumbers arrived at 5:00pm. The plug line was about 60 feet from our house (our sewer line is 223 ft long). They went right to work, wasting no time and cleaned out the pipe in at 30 minutes. They were quick, efficient and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. Gary (the owner) himself personally showed up and ran a camera through the line to look for other potential problems. The response time was excellent. I was quoted a ball park price over the phone for about $400 and when he arrived it was closer to $800 but after some discussion with the technician he did give a 10% discount. He did a good job with replacing the seal to the toilet and resetting but he did not do a thorough job with cleaning out the drain. did not see a camera to view the main drain, so I am sure he just used a machine to rooter root. A few days later we still had a problem with the drain backing up downstairs. I called my brother in-law and he mentioned a local plumber they used and the new plumber said the machine he and the past plumber use is not long enough to reach the end. All the last plumber did was open part the drain and did not clear all out. My new guy had to come back with a machine that was long enough and thus did a fantastic job, showed me with his camera the problem and showed me his work afterwards and had not any issues since. My last guy should of showed me this issue and I would of gladly paid more money to fix. read more
