    My "new to me" car!
    Theresa H.

I can't say enough good things about David at Next Car For You. This was not my first car purchase but rather my first car purchase in a very long time, and David made it so easy. He is friendly and professional and put me at ease with a low-pressure approach, taking the time to learn about how I would use the car to recommend an appropriate vehicle. David was promptly available by phone or text to answer questions and to set up times to see the car. Contrary to one review I read, he had absolutely no problem with me taking the car to a mechanic I chose to have it looked over. The mechanic, who has worked in the community since 1957 and came highly recommended to me by a trusted source, in turn had high praise for David and his integrity. I especially appreciated the thorough and direct explanations David provided through every step of the process - he knew everything about how the car worked, even though he had just received it I think the day before, and provided clear instructions and explanations throughout the paperwork process. As a final touch, when I came to pick up the car, it was freshly washed and David and his associate had set up all the accessories in the trunk area (it was a hatchback and there was a cover and some netting, and although I didn't tell him this I was concerned about figuring out the cover!) - a closing example of the care David takes with his clients. Highly recommend Next Car For You (even if you live nowhere near Greenpoint like me)!

Surprisingly good experience. David was very transparent and not pushy. I purchased a Suzuki SX4 from him, after visiting other dealerships (physical and virtual) and realizing I did not want to deal with them at all. I only stopped by this place because it was nearby and convenient, didn't expect to buy a car from there. The car was fairly priced and in good shape. I took it further into Greenpoint for a pre-purchase inspection with a mechanic, which was quick and went well. Then David took care of everything for me as far as state inspection and registration went. He accepts credit cards for a deposit, which is helpful. I've had the car for a couple of weeks now with no issues. Definitely recommend this place.

I…read moredon't appreciate being pushed around or someone trying to force my hand to buy something . Thankfully after looking at some reviews I decided to check out ELDORADO and I met the wonderful Mark. Mark is like a kind uncle . He was patient, he was informative, and he was invested in me making the right choice for my lifestyle and my budget . He was never pushy like the typical sleazy used car salesman so I felt comfortable working with him. We found a car that worked for me and his team even handled all the dmv requirements so I didn't have to do that myself . I am so happy with my purchase . My family got a chance to meet mark as well and said if they ever are in the market for a car they would work with him in the future! I also want to note that after I bought the car I had a problem with my heat . I called mark and he was so apologetic and instantly called a mechanic who took care of it right away at no cost to me. Mark has called to follow up with me and ask about my family even though I already bought the car. He is a genuine person as well as the rest of his staff. I would highly recommend this dealer if you're looking for a good used car !!

My gripe however is that I'm not even in my second month from owning one of their cars and I've had an exhaust repair (if they inspected the pipes they would have seen the damage right?) luckily it was within the 30 days so the did cover that! But I didn't have to skip work so probably evens out the cost in reality. And now I'm staring down the barrel of a complete transmission replacement putting me $5000 out of pocket. By the way that's half of what the car cost! Fist time taking it into an interstate going above 65mph and the cars transmission fails. When a car You just bought, and after being assured it was running great! Has it's transmission fail, is a large kick in the teeth! I would advise anyone considering buying used, to seek a proper inspection at the car dealership before buying used. Do not take the people selling it on their word, as it can cost you big time. We were dumb enough to think we won't need the extended warranty. Maybe you should chip in for it. Better than being stuck with a $5000 bill I somehow have to find in the back of my couch. I really wanted to like this place but now I am just waiting for more things to fail with the car I'm now stuck with until it's paid up.

Unfortunately, after several awful experiences ,my most recent experience was so disappointing that I won't ever be returning. I came in with my own financing already secured. Despite that, I was strongly encouraged by sales person who I have been working with for many years to apply through Honda Financial Services instead. He stated that I would get a better interest rate. I was told my car needed to be Honda Certified in order to move forward with that financing, which required nearly $2,000 worth of repairs. After more than eight hours at the dealership, I was finally told that the Honda Financial Services loan was 4% higher than the financing I had brought in with me. Since I ended up using my own financing after all, the certification and the nearly $2,000 I spent turned out to be completely unnecessary. The entire process felt unnecessarily drawn out, exhausting and manipulative. Spending more than eight hours at a dealership for a transaction that should have been straightforward is unacceptable. I also did not have positive experiences with my salesperson despite working with him for many years. I simply did not feel I could trust him. One detail that stood out at the last visit was that his desk was elevated on risers so he sat towering over customers, which struck me as an odd, uncomfortable and comical dynamic. Finally, after the long day, I was taken into the back to a finance office to sign paperwork and was subjected to aggressive sales pitches for additional products and warranties. He used intimidation and scared tactics. The presentation made many of these add-ons feel mandatory rather than optional, creating an uncomfortable, high-pressure environment at a point when I was already mentally exhausted. I feel people who are not as adept as I am in car buying can be deceived into purchasing these add-ons. This review reflects only my personal experience, but after more than a decade of being a loyal customer, I left feeling misled and pressured rather than valued. There are many reputable dealerships where the buying process is transparent and respectful. If I were shopping again, I would look elsewhere. On the flipside my experience with Edwin at Honda Services for service and maintenance have always been great.

PLEASE READ AND BE ADVISED! SHADY Update to review below…read more I purchased a vehicle out of state through Plaza Honda. I was very thorough in my questioning to Dan regarding condition. First red flag was that they did not know Honda's current CPO warranty that is offered nationwide and tried to tell me I'd get a different warranty Honda no longer does. Their f&i manager Omar was uneducated on the current warranty and blatantly rude even though I turned out to be correct about the warranty being longer than what they said. The vehicle arrived with quite a few undisclosed issues such as climate console damage, rear fender damage, exhaust trim damage, rear window shade destroyed and no clips to attach it to, and it desperately needed an alignment to name a few of this LONG list. This vehicle is Honda Certified but items checked for working or being assessed were quite obviously skipped. Makes you wonder if they're inspecting anything at all in there inspections or simply checking the boxes with no true inspection! BUYER BEWARE!! This does not meet Hondas requirements and they could be sliding on by with your "certified" vehicle too! I was very patient and sent images and quotes and waited 10 days for response from Wilson Mateo Manager before hearing back after countless calls and emails asking for an update on what they plan to do regarding these issues. I would call and no one was ever available, off that day, anything to not help! Never received a call back or apology from anyone. Got in contact with GM Saad Mirsa and was finally promised a resolution! I was patient and grateful and just want to be out of their hair and move on with my car and life... well Saad played the same old song, ghosting me and no help! I gave them a total of 3 months to make things right before feeling the need to review but don't let it be you!! They STILL haven't gotten back to me. Response here and there leading me on then ghost again for 7 days over and over again. SHADY SHADY SHADY! Sending this up the latter to Honda directly regarding a certified Honda dealer selling certified vehicles not being thoroughly inspected. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: immediately following my bad review posted across all formats they did in fact send out the parts almost immediately(that they'd been "waiting for"). Paid the dealership near me to install and fix the issues. Rob is the best over there, their saving grace and gave me an apology and call right away. It shouldn't take a bad review to get what should've been done day 1 but they did ultimately do the right thing and take care of the issues and I am happy and in love with my vehicle now!!

I have been looking for a particular car recently…read moreand the only way to get it, (a 24 model) was to actually deal with dealers that don't work with brokers. There's a reason why I stopped dealing with "stealerships". I called Lenny Komsky and asked for advice. Not only did he take the time to try and get the car but when he was met with pushback(from the dealerships) he gave me the info needed to try and get the car I wanted from an out of state dealer. After calling a few dealers and giving them the numbers that Lenny told me the car should be selling at(much lower than what the dealers wanted), I finally got a dealer to call me back and agree to what Lenny told me the car should be at. The dealer than proceeded to send me the paperwork which Lenny asked for me to send to him to double check everything. Even though they made nothing on the deal, the Grand Prix team made sure I got the best possible deal and made sure everything was in order. I was even able to get the car delivered to my front door from a dealer close to 800 miles away for no extra charge. Again all tanks to Lenny and his team. I really don't know how to thank them for this. On top of all that, Lenny was able to get me out of my current Lease 8 months earlier so I can get the car I've been looking into. Mind you some dealers quoted me 800 dollars a month more than what I ended up paying for the same car.

Update as of August 13, 2026:…read more I emailed Jennifer on Monday, August 10, and followed up again today. I have not received a response to either email. Joel actually reached out the same day I sent the email, August 10. During that call, I asked him about the email I had sent to Jennifer. He said he would speak with her and get back to me. I am still waiting to hear from him regarding both the proposed trade and the tickets the dealership agreed to pay. At this point, I feel as though I am being ignored and given the runaround. I have an email confirming that a check was supposed to be issued for the tickets, but I have not received any receipts or written confirmation showing that the tickets were actually paid. This is a serious concern. If the tickets remain unpaid and my vehicle is booted or anything else happens because of them, there will be a much larger issue. If I do not receive proof that the tickets were paid, I may have to pursue the matter through legal channels. I have tried to handle this professionally and have kept written documentation of every communication. I am simply asking the dealership to provide proof that the promised ticket payments were completed and to respond to my proposal regarding the trade. The continued lack of communication only adds to an already exhausting experience.
