Next Generation Pest Control is amazing! I have been with them for about a year and a half and I'm highly satisfied with the service they provide! After every treatment, I get excited to see the dead bugs around my home LOL! They always do a good job, treating areas I would have never thought of and I see the difference. Full Update 6/23/2021: Disclosure : This was our own personal experience and our opinion of this company. I rarely make updates and especially downgrades any of my reviews but, I have lost sleep over this particular review/Company as I believe and feel in my heart that the public & readers need to know the truth through my eyes What this company did was just wrong in my opinion on so many levels. 1. Like most I did a lot of research which involved reading many reviews and after careful consideration hired Next generation Pest control because of there many 5 Star reviews, Signed a year contract for a set price. A contract I expected both parties to adhere too RIGHT ? Yea, Not if your the company. (one sided contract) So far like my previous review the company did awesome job! We where very pleased and they helped eliminate our mice, bugs and where extremely responsive, showed up at last minute to take care of any pest issues. A dream company right ? 2. Then due to major construction on our property and for the safety of all we had to put Next Generation on hold . After all they where unable to enter my property due safely & construction That went on for several months (out my control & delayed due to COVID) 3. Construction concluded and Next generation continued as per my contract even without contract we had planned to continue much longer than contractual obligation because we where extremely happy with their services and we support small independent businesses. ** 4. Then - I had unexpected medical issues that generated unexpected medical bills and as most due to the pandemic extremely late Federal Tax return we where expecting that would have helped pay those bills so we had to "pause" Pest services something we where reluctant to do. I sent text message explaining our situation to the company praying I could delay pest service until we could take care of our medical bills and they reacted not in the normal compassionate communicating way as with a phone or text message or what could we do NO! That would be too much to ask for BUT, by UNEXPECTEDLY and abruptly CANCELING our account and hit us with a bill (199.00 ) cancellation fee! 5. Then when I called company to ask why and tried explaining our situation I was meet with rudeness, No apology No explanation Nothing. it could have been handled WAY better by the company but instead she just said, they called me when they DID NOT she didn't even believe me and had to look and read my text message I sent which should have been done before taking the drastic step by canceling my account and send me 199.00 bill. Then when she realized their mistake she STILL NEVER Apologized or said, we will reverse cancellation fee but just reiterated that they charge early termination fee when I was not terminating services. -Company true character and honesty is coming to light 6. Then I posted a honest and less than favorable review since company never responded or reversed charges too my knowledge 7. I text ready to restart service as we FINALLY received our tax refund honoring the contract and I wanted to see if Next Generation would improve in communication, honor there word/contract 8. The company reacted by my Yelp review and canceled our account , waiving 199 early termination fee, dishonoring there own contract and rudely telling me via phone message to go somewhere else! TRUE COMPANY CHARACTER ------in my opinion They don't want to communicate with customer or earn their reviews but instead break there own contract which is there word or bond (honesty) if I can't break contract without repercussions why could company ? Wow ! What a slap in the face ! Talk about knocking the customer down when there already on the ground with medical issues, financial hardship in time of national pandemic and NO compassion. Geez we always paid our bill with them on time and always treated all there workers with respect, honesty and kindness. We just needed a few weeks to take care of our health/medical and praise God! we received our refund and as promised we ready to resume pest services and ready to change review to reflect any positive changes Next Generation would make and instead we meet with rudeness, not honoring there own contract 9. In my opinion and experience this company doesn't keep there promise or word even if it's in a contract as they could break there own contract at will without any warning! 10. Also, They don't communicate with customers efficiently as this entire situation could have been avoided if management would have been more involved, honestly informed and most importantly effective communications with the customer! But because they have proven not to keep their own words by honoring there own contract , not communicating with the customer we are forced to lower review to 2 stars (Could have been better by yelp standards) honest and communication is huge with us . I hired Next Generation because I needed to eradicate some rats from my attic & subfloor spaces. I spoke with Stephen Tahija (owner) by phone & he said he would send someone out the next day to check my home and give me an estimate. As promised, Mitchell showed up right on time and did a great job checking my property for possible entry ways for the rats. He gave me a very reasonable estimate which I confirmed with Stephen and also a 12-month guarantee. As scheduled, a tech came out and sealed the entry areas & set traps in the attic and subfloor areas. They will be back soon to check and/or remove the traps. Some companies wanted to set me up on a rotational basis where they would come back every few months over a year, but that's not what I needed. So far, I've been very pleased with Next Generation. I can't say enough good things about this company. I asked a question via the website and recieved an email back that day answering my question. In that email I set up for them to come out the very next day. Stephen came out exactly on time and even texted to let me know he was on his way. He was very pleasant and walked around my property to get a good look at all the pests we were dealing with. We decided that he would come back the very next day to take care of all that I had. The next day him and Cesar came, with the text beforehand telling me exactly the time they would be pulling up. Both Stephen and Cesar were polite and very thorough. I cannot said enough amazing things about this company! Being a veteran family, we love to support our own. However, they go above & beyond! They serviced our house & fixed a wasp hole a few days later. Afterwards, we found out there was something living inside our garage & almost coming into our house, ending up being a rat. They were out the NEXT day. Laid the traps & when it was caught they came & got it. Few days later, we found mice in our garage (we purchased a house that hadn't been lived in for a bit) so I called them frantic very early in the morning Sunday of MLK holiday & they called me back immediately. We purchased non lethal traps for inside our house until they came. Tuesday morning 8am they were here laying out more traps, taking the mouse we did get, & sealing the hole they were coming in from. Best pest control company we have ever had! Very thorough with insects and absolutely the best for gopher removal. Besides being a monthly customer, I have used them twice for gopher issues. Once in the front yard for a new issue. Caught the gopher in five minutes after setting the trap and the second time was in the back yard for a new issue and caught the gopher in about 2 hours. Each time the issue was resolved. Incredible help for the issues that makes you feel helpless despite efforts to handle it myself. So it was 11pm at night when I looked up and noticed we had a rat trying to chew his way through the drywall. I did a little research and at 11:45pm I sent this company an email. Before midnight I had a response and a scheduled appointment for the next day! How that's even possible I don't know. Scheduled from 2-4p he called me about 1:30 and said hey I am running a few minutes early if your available now. Wife was home so we said that works perfect come on over. Once the gentleman got there he walked the house came up with a game plan on what he would do to help us out and then executed that plan. Update: The owner called me and told me that after seeing the pictures, he was able to see the problem. He offered to make it right and since I had already fixed the fence on the panels, we came to a mutual agreement. The fact that they missed fencing all the panels is still a problem in my book, but since the owner called me to somehow make up for it tells me a lot about his commitment to his customers. I don't know the reason why they missed those panels and didn't tell me, but I am updating my rating because of what the owner did to try to make up for it. read more
