My mother has utilized the pest control services of Fast Action Pest Control for several years now. For the first years she was pretty satisfied with their service, other than a technician leaving one of my hoses on a few months ago causing flooding in my back yard. In recent months (or year) Fast Action has decided to make pest control appointments using an automated system while my mother kept telling them that she wanted to schedule the appointments herself so she knew when they would come to spray, and so she could be there when they were spraying in case she needed to ask them about addressing any possible additional pest problems. Despite my mother calling them to schedule each appointment directly with her, Fast Action still continued using their automated system to schedule random appointments for the spraying. Very recently, my mother had looked out the window and saw a technicians spraying her yard before the month when they were supposed to schedule an appointment with her. So, she went out there and asked the technician to leave and come back on a day when she schedules the next appointment. After the gentleman had sprayed he asked her just to sign her signature onto his phone to confirm that he had been to the house. The had been no conversation about her signing any kind of contact at that time. My mother had never had any contract with Fast Action before, and when she called them on the phone, the customer service lady on the phone even said that they had no contracts signed by her in any past years. Within a day or so, a bill for $95 was sent to her email (which I check for her as she is 88 years old and doesn't do emails herself). She was not aware that the gentleman who had started spraying her yard was charging any money for it since she had not even scheduled any appointment (which was automatically scheduled by Fast Action's automated system...thanks, but NO THANKS, AI). I sent an email to Fast Action through my mother's email a few days ago stating that she should not owe $95 for an unscheduled visit by a technician and to cancel her pest control service altogether with no additional money due now or in the future. A day or two later a gentleman from Fast Action left a message on my mother's voicemail stating that he needed to talk to her in person to discuss her requests (i.e. demands). Shortly after that, a customer service representative emailed her email stating this: "Hello, Were sorry to hear that you'd like to cancel your services with us at Fast Action Pest Control. We're happy to help you with this request. For your security, cancellations can only be processed over the phone. We've recently seen an increase in fraudulent account closure attempts, and this extra step ensures that any changes to your account are made directly by you. Please call us at 888-293-4804. Thank you." (Fraudulent account closure attempts? This sounds fishy, and frankly, like BS to me. Who would actually waste their time by attempting to close pest control customers' accounts?). Well...yesterday two emails came in to my mother's email box containing two separate invoices for balances due of $95 and $200. So, now there's a balance of $95 for an appointment that my mother never scheduled, AND $200 for the "one year account cancellation" (which my mother never was aware of such a thing since she never was aware of ever signing any contract that she was never presented with in the first place). She believes that a so-called contract signing may have taken place when she had signed a phone screen for the pest control technician who had come by her house and who had just needed her to sign for proof that he had come to the house for his (unscheduled) spraying. No contact had been presented to my mother AT ALL when she had signed that phone screen. This is seedy, and illegal, business practice to dupe a person into signing some apparent contact that they are not even aware that they are signing. I would also consider this to be in the realm of elder abuse. So, the $95 (for the unscheduled spraying) and the $200 cancellation fee (of the illegal contract) should be reversed to bring her account balance with Fast Action Pest Control to $0. Here are some excerpts from just a couple other Negative Yelp Reviews I had come across for Fast Action Pest Control that are related to my issues: Aggie W.: "Q: How much would be a one time service spray?" "A: They quoted me $45 per visit but that was for a yearly subscription for them to spray every other month. But I was not made aware of that "agreement" until I received the information later via email. That's when I learned their rep signed me up for a year without my consent." Kate O., Modesto, CA: "I was charged $60 today for a service that I didn't even receive. Now I'm being charged bi-monthly and have to pay a $175 fee to cancel a contract I didn't realize I signed up for. Hidden fees and no courtesy to waive the cancellation fee. I switched to Fast Action Pest Control because I was told their treatments would better address the fly issue at my home. Unfortunately, after approximately 9 months of service, the pest activity inside the home became worse instead of better. We started seeing increased ants, spiders, flies, and other bugs inside the house, issues that had previously been under control with my prior pest control provider. Before switching companies, I had used Official Pest Prevention for approximately four years after moving into this house, and during that time we did not have ongoing ant and spider problems inside the home. The only remaining concern was flies, which is why I decided to switch after being told Fast Action Pest Control would better address that issue. Instead, after switching, we began experiencing significant ant and spider activity again. Throughout the service period, I repeatedly informed technicians during every bi-monthly service visit that the treatments were not resolving the problem. I also contacted the office by phone several times regarding the ongoing issues, and additional service visits were performed a few times as well. Despite all of that, the pest activity continued. What made this even more frustrating is that the agreement itself states that customers should expect pest activity to "drastically decline" within a few weeks, that pest levels should "continually decrease over time" with regular treatments, and that the service is intended to help prevent infestations from reoccurring. That was not my experience at all. After nearly nine months of service, repeated complaints, and additional visits, the problems did not improve and, in my experience, became worse. The company later acknowledged in writing that their services "did not meet my expectations," which I appreciated. However, despite nearly nine months of unresolved issues, the focus eventually became billing and cancellation charges rather than resolving the failed service. According to the agreement, the recurring monthly service amount was $50, and by the time I canceled there were only approximately three months remaining in the agreement period from April through June, totaling approximately $150 remaining on the contract. Even though I did not believe I should still be paying for services that were clearly not working, I still attempted to resolve the matter in good faith by offering to pay the regular April recurring amount of $50. Instead, Ari from billing continued insisting that I pay at least $100 in order for the cancellation fee to be waived. Later, Brittany informed me that the previous option was no longer available and that if I did not pay the full amount being demanded, the account would proceed to collections. They are now attempting to charge me $269 over a service dispute involving treatments that repeatedly failed to resolve the issues being reported throughout the service period. The issue was never that I simply did not want to pay. The issue was that after nearly nine months of unresolved pest problems, I did not believe it was reasonable to continue paying for services that were clearly not producing the expected results described in the company's own agreement. As someone who works professionally in accounting and oversees large projects, I understand that when services repeatedly fail to meet expectations after multiple opportunities to correct the issue, companies normally work toward a fair resolution instead of continuing to push charges for unsuccessful services. I have since returned to Official Pest Prevention because, in my personal experience, they handled the ant and spider issues at the property much more effectively. Some of the attached photos reflect the type of pest activity we continued experiencing inside the home during the service period, including ants indoors and even a spider crawling down from the ceiling onto the bed. For transparency, I will also be attaching portions of the agreement, with personal information removed, showing the recurring service amount, remaining contract period, and the language regarding expected pest reduction over time. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately, I would not recommend the service based on the results we had. read more

Oh. My. Gaaaaaawd. I used Fast Action Pest Control five days ago to spray the outside of my house. When I called to schedule, I asked them not to spray inside because I have a kitten and two small dogs. The technician was really nice and polite, so no complaints there. But the day after the treatement I started having ants in my master bathroom again and figured it was just the last of the colony desperately looking for an escape because there were what could have been two queens mixed in with the hundreds of little ants since they were so much bigger than the rest. I sprayed them all and it stopped. However, this morning, all ant Hell broke lose and I have thick black lines all over my kitchen, entrance and hall closet! And the floor perimeter has trails. I sprayed with my own spray to kill them and try and stop it asap, then called Fast Action. But get this. They said because I opted out of having the inside sprayed that I would have to pay for an entire new service! They also said they don't have a 30-day guarantee for any of their work unless I signed up for their treatment plan. I laid into them (politely) because they didn't even give me a discount or refund for not spraying the inside and told them that even Terminx has a 30-day guarantee with a one time treatment service! Then, she said the inside is only done upon request and that since I used my own product today, they can't even come back for ten days anyway because it could potentially "deactivate their product," which sounds like a load of bull, and they would still have to charge me the fee again ($265). NOT CHEAP. I asked why I was never told not to use my own products after their treatment. She says she doesn't know cause she wasn't the one who scheduled it with me to begin with. This was my first experience using Fast Action and it will be my last. I feel robbed. What a load of bull. Talk about bad customer experience. read more

I would like to clarify the following dates and details regarding my account and recent experience with your company: Your representative visited my home on May 16, 2025 and assured me verbally that I could cancel the service at any time without being bound to a contract or incurring a cancellation fee. Based on this assurance, I proceeded to pay for the initial service on May 16 as a trial, with the understanding that if I was not satisfied, I could cancel without any penalties. However, this was not the case: I received your welcome email only on May 24, 2025 -- a week after the initial visit and after the first service was delivered -- and it stated a cancellation fee of $100. Now, I am being told about an unexpected fee of $149, which was never disclosed at any point by your representative or in any prior communication before service delivery. By the way what is the extra $49 for? It is concerning that your representative made verbal assurances that were not honored, and no documentation about cancellation terms was provided upfront. This type of door-to-door marketing and misleading verbal agreements can be legally challengeable. I have documented email threads and communications to support this. I am open to resolving this matter amicably. While I do not object to paying a reasonable cancellation fee if it had been disclosed clearly, I was not informed of any such fee -- verbally or in writing -- prior to the service. I have done business with Fast Action Pest Control for a number of years now. Currently, Jamal is my regular service tech who treats my home and yard on a bi-monthly basis. He is knowledgeable, professional and thorough. When I recently discovered a powdery substance with what looked like little black bugs in it near my patio door, I called Fast Action and requested that Jamal make a visit to my home on the "off" month, he was able to come the next day. Jamal did what seemed to me to be a very thorough examination of my situation and told me he needed to refer me to a termite specialist inspector. Jamal promised to try his best to get someone to come out to my home as soon as possible. While Jamal was still sitting in his truck in front of my home, Fast Action called me to set up an appointment with a termite inspector. Garrett was able to come the very next day and--although he looked too young to know all that he told me about what he saw in the area of my home that I was concerned about--he, too, was so thorough that I told my daughter I believe he's been doing pest control work since he was just a little kid. On his hands and knees, with his flashlight, Garrett thoroughly inspected my home at its foundation, gave me the assurance that there were no termites and offered to take the matter further (for my peace of mine) if I chose to do so. We have used Fast Action Pest Control for many years. What is great about this company is that the technicians are always polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Again, we have used their services for years, so of course we have had quite a few different technicians. Sean is our regular service tech and he was here the other day because we had a large very active wasp nest, and he came out promptly and took care of removing it. He did his work quickly and efficiently and we truly appreciate having someone we can count on to help keep our home and large backyard more pest-free... making being outside more pleasant. Sean even told me that he has plenty of experience with keeping a pool clean, so he always swipes around the edges (using his cobweb duster) where the spiderwebs develop regularly in our pool, so that was certainly nice to hear. Whenever I've had to call the office for a special request, the customer service people are always friendly and very accommodating. All around a top-notch pest control company. Way to go!! read more

From start to finish Fast Action Pest Control was great. I chose to humanely trap and release the rats. Sean came and inspected, analyzed, and educated me about how rats behave. He climbed into the basement crawl space and located additional holes through which the rats were coming back into the basement. He outlined the scope of the job and the cost. A few days later two technicians came. Cory and Robert were terrific. While Robert worked to plug any potential entry holes on the outside of the house, Cory cleaned up the feces, securely plugged holes in the crawl space, and sanitized the basement and crawl space. In addition, they added a one way door so that any trapped rats inside could find their way to the outside but would not be able to get back in.
