Wait times really depend on how busy they are. Just to be clear for anyone who hasn't visited, place is completely vegan. They've got a solid selection of burgers and sandwiches, and you can customize them to your liking. I ordered fries with a side of BBQ sauce, which hit the spot. I was headed to a concert at the Barclay and needed a quick bite, being vegan i knew I wouldnt get anything good at the center so I googled for something close by. Sooo happy Next Level Burger was there. It's located in the Whole foods on the Atlantic side entrance. Everything was made to order, so it was fresh. I liked that the service, when taking your order, asks if youve ever been there before and if you haven't explains that its a vegan restaurant and everything on their menu is vegan. This way you cant be confused. I ordered the Classic burger, tator tots and a drink. The class burger was so delicious, tasted liked a meat burger and the tots were nice and crispy. I got the beyond fire burger, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I took out the onions on mine because I'm just not a fan and it was pretty flavorful, the tempeh bacon added a little extra flavor. The fries were also good & seasoned well. I ordered a large and it definitely wasn't a large portion so keep that in mind when you order a large sweet potato fries because I'm sure it's the same portion as the regular fries but double the price. The cashier was helpful in making my selection. There wasn't much of an ambience being that it's really more of a takeout spot, there are. Few tables and chairs if you'd like to eat there. Solid choice. I like that they offer a few different kinds of veggie burgers - if you want the old-school style that tastes like vegetables+grains+beans, you can get that. If you want the impossible/beyond style that imitates meat, you can get that too. Plenty of topping, sauces s and different bun options for customizing, and everything is vegan so you don't have to wonder if you're accidentally ordering dairy cheese or a bun. The (vegan) milkshakes really put this place over the top for me. I've had the chocolate PB, the mint cookie, and a few of the specials over the years and they're all delicious. Next Level Burger has become one of my favorite vegan spots in the city, so this update is long overdue. Our whole family loves their vegan fast food, and when we order, we don't miss the animal products at all. You can now also tack on some Next Level Clucker (their sister vegan chicken restaurant in the same location) items to your order as well, so even more options. We usually get a combination of burgers, fries, and a salad to lighten things up, and everything is consistently good. My favorite sandwiches are the burgers or chicken sandwiches that come with tempeh bacon and/or onion rings on top (I wish the onion rings were a separate side you could order), and I also like their limited edition specials, like the Aloha Pride burger we got on our last visit with onion rings, pineapple, and bacon, and the Gobbler last fall. While our burger/sandwich choice often changes, we get the crispy chik'n bacon cobb salad every time, along with one of the loaded fries. The special style fries (which are like animal style fries), chili chz fries, and bacon shroom fries are all delicious. We got the freedom for all fries, which benefit the NAACP, on our most recent visit, a combo of cheddar, tempeh bacon bits, grilled onions, and bbq sauce, and those were amazing. The only thing I don't like is that our Doordash orders (the only way we can get delivery from them where we are) get cancelled more often than not because no one will deliver, but that's not their fault. We pick up when we can, but I wish they had more locations in the city or were at least in every Whole Foods, so we could get it more often. I was in NYC for several errands and I knew I wanted to try one of the many vegan restaurants on my list. (That is my goal each Saturday). NLB seemed like the best option. I calculated the commute and placed my order based on the GPS. I believe they have free parking, as this establishment is located with in a Whole Foods. I took a chance, and ran in quickly to get my pre-ordered items. They had a jalapeño popper burger which was out of this world. The vegan cream cheese, the pickled jalapeños and other fixings went together well. They also serve crinkle cut french fries, which are my absolute favorite. What's a burger and fries without a shake? I ordered the chocolate peanut butter, half soy half coconut milk. It was deliciously creamy & maintained a great consistency. I also ordered the snack portion of Buffalo chick'un tenders. It came with three. A little salty, but definitely good with the vegan ranch dressing. Because I had to travel back to Connecticut, I was unable to enjoy the burger and fries right away. But, I reheated them in the oven and it was delicious. If you're ever craving fast food, find yourself in Brooklyn but would like a plant-based option, I highly recommend NLB! My milkshake came out fast and the staff brought my food to my table when the rest was ready. I started with the Tater tots (Oh you can have them baked too. I went with the Fried version). They were good. And the "small" size was just enough. My non-meat chili dog was also good. By the time it came out, I pretty much figured that I had locked myself into a plant based meal. I rolled with this and enjoyed my meal. The chocolate shake had this slightly bitter aftertaste so it wasn't the best, I think it was due to the cocoa powder used. I've been quite a few times. My initial review draft was a--5-star, completely lost my s* because there's a vegan restaurant off the 4 train. But after several visits, I've calmed down quite a bit. Still above average solely on the premise that they're filling an otherwise downtown BK vegan restaurant void. This chain is also not new to the game and has other locations out West, so I'm giving my warmest NY welcome. A few things or just one thing: lots of options, not enough flavor. It's as if in their effort to offer an interesting menu, they skimped on the flavor. I've tried 3 burgers and two loaded fries and all were good enough, but on the blander not quite memorable side. I most recently tried the Signature burger, which was the best yet. I believe it's served with ranch which is far better than the "special" sauce which leaves a lot to be desired. Shake wise, the brownie explosion is my fave and they're rather generous with the portions. While I haven't tried the beer as yet, I do appreciate the offerings. I'll be here again in spite of the shortcomings, mainly for the Signature burger. I can do without the fries. read more

This restaurant is located inside Whole Foods 365. I ordered the Socal Burger with a gluten-free bun and a small order of fries and sweet potato fries (yes I wanted both). The employee who took my order was nice enough to offer to bake the fries so it wouldn't share the same fryer since I have a gluten-sensitivity. Everything was delicious! Don't rush to try it. While everything was good, nothing was uniquely tasty. I tried the Quinoa burger and the quinoa black chia patty was pretty plain. The swiss cheese was simply a barely melted slice of Daiya. I thought the burger was supposed to have tempeh bacon but I didn't get any. The bun is soft and is on the sweeter side. I ordered a side of tater tots, which had the perfect amount of salt. However, I realized later that the cashier didn't ask me whether I wanted them baked or fried. More than anything else, I was excited to try their vegan shakes. I got coconut as the base because I try to stay away from soy. This was a mistake, though, because coconut took over the entire thing. Instead of a thick chocolate shake I expected from the Brownie Explosion, it was more a coconut shake with a little bit of chocolate pieces. I ordered here a couple of times. And food is very good. I always get the mushroom quinoa patty. Its big and yummy. I like lettuce and grilled mushrooms and pickles on it. The fries are okay. They used to have crinkle cut fries which I liked a lot but last time I ordered they gave me shoe string fries which cooled quickly and ended up getting really crunchy which I dont like much. Its cool you can ask for them baked. Also i tried the chicken nuggets. They give you 3 nuggets and fries and a juice box. Since it is a kids meal. I think it costs 7 dollars. The nuggets where very good for not being meat! I would order that for lunch again. And takeout was completed in 10 min so head over there before the estimated time or your food will be sitting on the counter for awhile getting cold. read more

I had started my hunt for vegan milkshakes a few months ago and just when I had started to give up, Next Level Burger shows up on my radar! Deliciooooous strawberry coconut milkshake! This was also my first time having a vegan hot dog. We are great lovers of 365 by Wholefoods store and have been visiting it every week since opening. Still we decided to try this burger place only now and it was delicious experience!!! I highly recommend! I took beef and chipotle vegan burgers and my husband double beef and fish ones. The meat is really good, sauce is just amazing, but my favourite part turned to be the BUN! It is not like a regular fast food sweet bun, it is really tasty. The place is quite expensive though, it cost us around 50$ for everything, which isn't cheap for burgers at all. Dope vegan burger joint inside the Whole Foods by Atlantic Center. We ordered the special sauce burger, signature burger, and baked sweet potato fries. The fries come with this addicting spicy mayo. I highly recommend getting the special sauce burger if it's your first time at a vegan place. The burger tasted pretty meaty even tho I'm guessing it's made with soy. And the cheddar cheese tasted really nice. It is not a 100% imitation to an actual cheese burger, but it's one of the closest I've tasted. I'm torn honestly between giving this 2 and 3 stars (yes, you heard me correctly). It's a 2.74 experience if I can gauge anything as accurately as possible. Next I'm going to go out there and say - I'm not a vegetarian - so please don't go all crazy on me and say you're an angry carnivore. Shame, shame, this is blasphemy! You don't understand us so your opinion is manure. Well, this experience I can honestly say, I don't understand you guys. I've had delicious vegetarian/vegan burgers, food from other places and have thought twice about options in life but not this time. After waiting a bit for my friend, we came into the wholefoods area, placed our order, and chilled out for a bit. The wait time was pretty long, even for getting beers poured out. Nice selection actually of things on tap, albeit they're $8 for a pint. But pleasantly surprised they have craft beer even. One good thing they had going for them. The place in itself is a MESS. The staff doesn't really care about cleaning up. There aren't any designated areas for trash. I didn't see a trash can or bin at least before leaving and awkwardly brought my tray up to the counter and they did nothing about it so I apologize to all of the patrons after me. But staring at someone's half eaten soggy fries and goo dripping next to me was really gnarly. Bags and wrappers were everywhere and it was a huge turn off. The food in itself wasn't something I'd strive to come back for. My friend's Beyond burger was better than mine because it at least tasted moist and juicy and resembled meat somewhat. My Chzburger was just bad. Really bad. It tasted very congealed in a way I can only describe if this came out of a tin and you said it was reconstructed cat food, I wouldn't be surprised. They also put no sauce on my burger when I asked for their special sauce so I got the full taste. The best part of the meal were the crinkle cut fries we shared. Its really hard to eff up french fries. But they managed to make really bland and tasteless milkshakes which I indulged in after I realized I was still hungry. I went with a peanut butter shake with coconut milk. I can't have too much soy anymore for health reasons and every time I've had coconut milk its been great but for some reason this tasted chalky, unsweetened, bland. Kind of like they went the whole nine yards and decided to use unsweetened organic peanut butter in the shake and I wasn't a fan. Also, the cashier guy had no idea what the difference was between a regular peanut butter and peanut butter cup shake and I was like 'but whats in it?' 'I think just more chocolate and the other is more peanut butter probably. . . . maybe.' Really wanted to like this spot because it was recommended with rave reviews from my friend's friend but we both were left with very similar feelings on the place.
