I think people come solely for the restaurant and not even to shoot which is positive. They offer classes and different ranges for your desire. The store is always pretty clean and they offer memberships to save on range fees. You don't have to buy ammo from them to shoot(range USA has this bogus rule) so you can save a lot of money here. The stalls for shooting have great lighting and high tech cameras to let you see where your shots land. Highly recommend for all shooters of all levels as the RSOs are not intimidating and genuinely want to help you become comfortable or better.

Also I have yet to encounter anyone enforcing rules and/or regulations...which is definitely a plus. Down sides would be..its hella muddy when wet. Nothing to attach a paper target to. No distance markings that are accurate. Have to wait and respectfully ask to setup your targets then walk into everyones line of fire to setup those targets. Only "allowed" to shoot at paper targets.

I did not even know there is a difference between shooting trap and sporting clay. The lady at the counter is very helpful. She explained that they have a sporting clay course that consists of 12 stations along a wooded path. We will follow the path on a map and find the different shooting stations. Since we have never been out here, she also came out to a station to show us how to use the wired as well as wireless clay throwers. I am so glad we came out to shoot that day! It was a chilly but sunny day. The course winds through some very pretty terrain including valleys and open fields. It is well maintained. All but one of the thrower switches were in good working order. I want to compare it to golf: you walk along a path and accomplish a goal at each station. Each station has random degrees of difficulty. There are two or three electronic throwers at each station. You can choose to throw one or two clay at a time...depending on your skill. I am a first timer...needless to say, I did not get lucky too many times. But hubby, who is not a first timer, LOVED the course and everything about it. He had the biggest grin on his face I have ever seen! Yes, we will definitely be back for more.

The renovated range is the main event with paper target stands at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yds with numerous steel targets at 200 and 300 yards. The pistol range is equally well stocked. The fishing lake is beautiful but not quite serene when the rifle range is busy. The trap thrower is a pain and hopefully will be fixed/upgraded. We haven't used the archery range.
