Went here for a quick lunch while waiting for a family member to get out of surgery at the hospital next door and was very disappointed. The food is very overpriced and not worth what is charged. I got a chicken salad sandwich on GF bread and it was $20. There was barely any chicken salad on it and the sandwich was mainly bread. As a first time resident of Binghamton, I had a bit of difficulty finding this cafe, however one simple phone call to the cafe cleared things right up, they gave me clear enthusiastic and respectful directions. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by both employees with humorous generosity and when I tried the bagel I ordered, it was addictively crunchy, but soft in the inside, perfectly seasoned and the cream cheese was like butter. The food is yummy but the prices get higher everytime i go in. For this reason i dont frequent nezuntoz. $16 for a sandwich is a bit steep. The service has always been friendly and reasonably quick and the dining area is clean. My go to is the turkey torta! Fresh salsa makes it for me!! This is one of my fave restaurants. My favorite is in the summer and they have the lavender lemonade. Nice place to sit in or outside. It's a bit on the pricier side but the food is good. I love the hungry hiker and the harper. The lox sandwich is good to me too ( I just can't think of the name. I love the corn soups and my mil is pescatarian. She loves the tuna sandwich one. Today I was actually having an overall good experience at Nezuntoz Cafe and overheard an employee named Ryan discriminating against one of the patrons. I regularly visit the cafe and was flabbergasted to overhear Ryan's response when a customer came in and asked for a fork. Personally it's something I've done plenty of times at plenty of locations across the Binghamton area; however this particular individual was told that he could not receive a fork and that forks are only for customers. My jaw DROPPED! There was no way I was watching someone be discriminated against right In front of me. First of all how many retail employees actually speak with the actual owner of a restaurant and what kind of business owner would insist not to provide a fork. I guess the sentiment was shared because a couple minutes later the black guy returned and asked when was the last time the worker person spoke with his owner . The response I heard made me lose my appetite. This poor man was told "after you last came in and asked for a fork" as if this were specifically targeting that individual. The guy was so nice about it I personally would have made a scene . He's clearly not a homeless person he had on scrubs so clearly he worked at one of the medical facilities neighboring the cafe. But this guy was just set on treating this guy differently . Who would want to visit a cafe with staff members and apparently owners who make up policy's to target specific demographics of people . It's shameful and I hope someone disciplines that employee because I personally don't believe that he ever spoke with an owner . He's just a guy behind a register. I know for certain I will not be returning to Nezuntos nor will my family. The southside deli around the corner has sandwiches for half the price anyway. I can't believe a business would allow someone with that kind of an attitude to represent them In this social climate. Absolutely outrageous. read more

I came here with my dad today for the first time since I was very young. We both really enjoyed it and I anticipate we'll be adding this to our regular rotation of lunch spots. The man who helped us was great, he was very professional and friendly without coming off as aggressively cheerful, and he was patient while we took our time deciding what to get from their large menu. Lots of vegetarian choices! Food and drink were very tasty - I got their Maggie's Farm wrap, a piña colada smoothie, and a brownie. Veggies in the wrap were fresh and the tomato pesto was very flavourful. Brownie was super fudgy with a slightly crispy edge which is just how I like them. The smoothie I almost held back on getting but ended up giving into the temptation and didn't regret it. Strong but not overly sweet fruit flavour. I think my wrap would have been a little on the small side if I'd gotten it by itself, but it was the perfect size to enjoy with a smoothie and dessert. I will go back over and over because of the flavor flavor flavor. In fact, swung through twice this week! This sandwich/ coffee spot specializes in flavorful, unique panini sandwiches - 20+ variations - cooked to order. While egg-based breakfast options exist (and you could select a bagel or flatbread) I will admit to being a die hard multi-grain roll lunch girl. I have eaten almost everything on the list but have some favorites including the Hungry Hiker and T Ruth (bacon v garlic aioli - how do I choose??), Foghorn chicken salad (the peas make this a winner!) and veggie-mix Maggie's Farm. I will frequently grab a Bird of Paradise salad to go for dinner and always a cafe au lait. I have been coming here since it opened but am trying to up my activity to offset reduced traffic due to Covid. Low density seating inside. Tables outside. Easy parking. Easy to-go option. I have been here the last two Saturdays and find it to be a wonderful spot. It's nice to see a good crowd early Saturday morning enjoying coffee and good food. Great food but on multiple occasions I have seen one member of the staff being extremely rude to customers and that is a turnoff for me.

This cute cafe is right next to a Weis grocery store. We stopped in for a bagel sandwich and hummus wrap. Both items were delicious with fresh ingredients! The woman at the counter was very patient as we looked over the menu and friendly when we ordered with her. The 3 employees we saw wore gloves, masks, and were cleaning the counters between guests. I noticed they had a plaque on the wall which was an award for employing people with disabilities. So cool! We will be back! read more

I work very close to this business at a local hospital so my co-workers and I frequent this business a lot. I am not sure what happened but this year has been a let down with quality and service. 2 weeks ago I called to order my favorite salad (Bird of Paradise) and was told they did not have chicken for the salad. Oh well. I ended up not ordering anything that day. This past Friday I stopped in at 11am to place an order on my lunch break. It was busy but not crazy. I went to order my Bird of Paradise Salad and was told they did not have any salad mix. WTH? Now caught off guard I had to scramble and find something else to order being this was going to be my lunch and I was placing an order for someone else as well. I ordered 2 paninis and asked for soup. Nope, no soup either. I said I would be back in 15 to pick up. I paid and went next door to grab something I needed. I came back to get my order and the line was out the door. I went to the counter where items are picked up and asked for my order as I did not see it on the counter. The person behind the counter said I needed to go in the general line to get my order. I said we always pick up here and he said that I needed to wait in line. Well this line is insane and hardly moving at all. I wait about 5 minutes and seeing I needed to get back to work shortly I went around to where the cashier was and asked if he could hand me my order as I needed to get back to work. Mind you, I can see my bag right behind him. All he had to do was reach around and grab it. He told me I had to get back in line to get my items. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Well there was no way I was going to be able to wait in the major line and get back to work in time, let alone have time to eat. I asked him if could please just grab my food as it right there and I need to get back to work. Nope I have to wait in an insane line while my food is getting cold. I ended up leaving as now my lunch is over. I lost my money and my co-workers money. I will not be back which is a shame because I like supporting local businesses. read more

Pretty Good Spot. They serve bagels from College Town Bagels in Ithaca and the place has the look of a CTB location. Yelp used to have the somewhat resounding "Yay I'm a fan !" for their 4 star rating, and they have since changed that to the milder: "Good".. so this place is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars then.. Okay, it's been four years since I've come to Nezuntoz and even though my last experience here wasn't spectacular, I decided to recommend it as a place to go to for lunch as we wanted sandwiches and wanted something quick. We came in on a Saturday around 2:30 pm and the place was fairly slow, a few people eating but we were first in line. They have this really artsy menu behind the counter that is difficult for near-sighted people to see. So as I am standing at the counter, the cashier is watching me squint so hard, there is no doubt in my mind I did some serious work on my already existing crows feet and angry eleven wrinkles and she kind of just watched me straining to see for a solid 3 minutes or so. Finally my boyfriend's Mom goes, "That's hard to read" and the woman behind the cashier immediately goes, "Oh here's a paper menu." Oh. Oh, you have one of those, gotcha. So they have sandwiches, a few salads, egg concoctions, but I still would not consider this place healthy I really wouldn't. The only options they had without bread were the salads and those were loaded with cheese and unhealthy dressings that I was stuck and didn't know what to order. They had some yogurt and fruit bowls in the window but I wanted something a little bit more substantial than a bowl of fruit. I ended up getting a wrap and when I asked about the flavors there was nothing gluten free, which was surprising and disappointing. I ended up getting a multi grain wrap and took the cheese out of my sandwich to make it as healthy as possible. With three wraps a bottle of water a coffee and a small bag of chips the total was $36. The food was made quick enough but I wish I took a picture of how it was served. Comes in a basket with just the wrap and a pickle, it looked so empty, they really needed to put something else on the side, chips, coleslaw, a salad, something. My wrap was eaten in maybe four bites, no exaggeration it was so so tiny. The frustration came into play while I was waiting for my food at the end of the line where you pick it up. There was a sign talking about how the place is gluten free friendly and how they have plenty of options. Well putting a sign at the end doesn't do any good, where were those options when you're actually placing your order? There was nothing on the paper menu about gluten free and nothing up on the big billboards behind the counter. My boyfriend and his Mom definitely enjoyed their food or at least said they did. Their coffee wasn't great in my opinion and the coffee was really the only thing keeping me coming back here. Eh. Just very eh. read more

I've been here quite a few times as a matter of convenience because of its proximity to my home and workplace. It's a really nice cafe with a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I've gotten quite a few different items off the menu and the sandwiches have been very good; but nothing exceptional that would make me go out of my way to make a special trip there. My biggest hang up with Nezuntoz is the prices. A sandwich (that comes with no side) is about $10. It's a nice sized sandwich, but it's not any kind of a value for $10. My co-worker and I each got a sandwich and a bottle of water: $25.90 was my total. This is more than we paid for an exceptional burger/with fries at another local establishment the week before. Nezuntoz has awesome sandwiches. I've tried a few and my favorite is "Maggie's Farm" on multigrain bread. It comes out hot and full of flavor. I always try the smoothies- mango is by far my favorite. Their chai tea latte is also great. Salads are mediocre, bagels are yummy & from ithaca. Ambience is very cozy and their chalkboard menu is creative and pretty cool to look at. Only downside is the wait for food- they have to come up with some effective way to process orders and get them out! read more

I am not here to rave about my s****y review and couch quarterback this establishment . This Cafe is by far the best in town and has amazing sandwiches and iced coffee . However- I am upset about the way they choose to run their business. If I'm standing in line I should not have to wait for the cashier to be the barista before I get a chance to even place my order.
