The place is cute , I'll give them that. I love the lighting and the bright open space , but it's very small and always packed with no where to sit. Another thing that annoyed me is that the garbage can is exactly where you stand to pick up your drinks. They need to figure out a new spot for it because it's inconveniently placed. Their drinks are also way over priced. My husband had a macchiato and I had the peanut butter chocolate smoothie... disgusting for $7+. It didn't taste like peanut butter nor did it taste like chocolate , it was earthy and indigestible and got me sick. Batch is a fantastic coffee shop. The design is bright and colorful. You have the Johnson City location with a smaller menu or the Binghamton location that serves more food options and is open later. The best part, the Binghamton location has a drive thru!!!!! As a mom of a two year old, I appreciate this when I want my coffee but don't want to deal with getting my kid in and out of the car seat. (Parents you know what I'm talking about) Everytime I come to Binghamton, I make multiple stops at Batch. The coffee is smooth and reasonably priced. I visit Batch regularly for their lattes, I stopped in today for a sandwich. I had the "grilled" chicken wrap. It was OK not great, mostly because the chicken was most definitely not grilled. Also, every table I went to sit at was filthy. None of them had been cleaned and the floor was filthy too. Fantastic start so far! The building lines are clean, the interior is open and cheery, the roaster's room looks like it will be cool to watch. The food is fresh and hot, with a basic selection of options that are done very well. As someone allergic to eggs, I very rarely hold out hope when I am out to breakfast. The sight of a Vegan Breakfast Sandwich on the menu made me take notice. It was AMAZING. Vegan cheese and sausage and egg on a house-made bagel with roasted red peppers. Yes, please, and thank you! I'm a tea drinker, but the Spiced Maple latte intrigued me. I asked for extra sweetener (sorry, I'm one of those guys) and tried it. Again, I was surprised at how delicious it was. This has got to be the most beautiful coffee shop in the entire greater Binghamton area! This is the type of place where you'll come for a coffee and stay for the incredible vibes (and maybe order more incredible food). Their menu includes all the coffee staples made with their freshly roasted beans. But even better, they have a very generous selection of lattes, both coffee- and non-coffee-based. I'm not a coffee drinker myself, so I loved that! My coffee drinker partner, however, absolutely LOVED the flavor of their coffee. As a small coffee shop, I was impressed with their variety of seating (both inside and outside) and the fact that they have a drive-thru! You can truly enjoy their drinks and food in whatever way you like. Plus, right next to the seating area there's a roastery so you can see the process of how they roast their coffee beans! Was way too hot so I waited 2 miles away took a sip AND no cream in it either! Drove back she says LET ME CHECK THEM-takes them and then come back and then says sorry- people must not tell them the truth she had to make sure THEN gives me new ones DROVE AWAY Went to pick mine up and the lid was not put on right spilled burned my hand and checking the second lid it was loose too! Even after I offered to pay the difference to receive the side I wanted (larger), she seemed upset she had to remake the order (pour the original drink into a different cup and then fill with milk). I ordered a medium roast coffee with vanilla and a breakfast wrap to go, the wrap was fresh and hot, the coffee delicious. I have tried this place a few times. The cinnamon rolls are great. I hate their beverages. The coffees seem to have floral undertones, which I don't like. So I switched to the hot spiced chai, and it was a watery mess. It always is busy, so some people like it. The atmosphere is very nice, and fans of Beer Tree are pretty loyal.
