This year our home insurance nearly doubled and when i called I was told something about "fire lines" being re-drawn. Last year when it went up it was because our roof was getting older. After researching insurance, I think the underwriters in Zurich (yes Europe) are charging more money even for low risk customers. Please note that this review is not about the agency or the staff. They are great, and, perhaps I am only being asked much less than others are paying... but this fire line stuff... really. Many farmers Agents don't even get renewal bonuses so the business model needs some work. Pay for years on time and never have a claim, vanishing deductible is also a joke.
