    Uneven stitching
    Jessica C.

As I went back, the stitching got worse and so did the quality. I have a coat altered and it was 100% cashmere. I wanted to get the sleeves shortened, it was done but the stitching is so poor. I also had a 100% silk dress that was completely butchered and I asked if they could redo it. When I wore it the breast and the hip area was too tight; the waist was too big. He said it looked fine and suggest that I bring it home. I went to a different tailor and to get them altered. Nagn cut off too much fabric and the breast area was still too tight and there was not enough fabric to let loose. ultimately I got a silk dress and cashmere coat ruined

Ngan has been my tailor since 2010 and he never disappoints. He recently worked on my suit and barong for our wedding and delivered an exceptional job. Barongs are typically made with pineapple fiber which makes the garment difficult to put on and take off. He came up with a solution of adding a zipper to the side seam which ended up being a lifesaver. I have trusted Ngan for over 14 years and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and dependable tailor. Thanks Ngan!

I put off getting my bridesmaid dress hemmed and then completely forgot until the week of the wedding! Flew into town on Friday, got my dress into Ngan's at 1:30 that same day, received my dress back the next afternoon (Saturday) and had a great wedding evening on Sunday in my dress. I did call Ngan to let him know I needed the dress before Sunday morning but that I wouldn't be in town until that Friday. He said no problem and that he would have it back to me that's Saturday, which he did. Overall happy that everything worked out last minute!Although I would not recommend waiting until the absolute last second, like I did, I'm glad I was able to find Ngan's Tayloring to take care of my situation!

I need to change the waist size to smaller, it takes $20 and the pants they sell in the store is 26 dollars but I didn't bargain due to maybe it was little bit harder then other pants, as long as there is a good result, however when I pick it up, it completely messed up, I don't understand how people can't tell the sewing are white line, and they put a black line on it, I also made it clear for 3 times I wear these pants with the waist side flipped out, like all dickies 874 pants, and there, I got this result, ,if sewing are messy, fine, but can't you bother to change the sewing to white? As a result I see unreasonably charges, irresponsible tailor and ignorance of clients requirements.

Nice, friendly neighborhood tailoring & alterations shop. They have good deals on suits also, of which I own a few.

I'm sure the turnaround time is normally longer but I arrived at store opening and appreciate him helping me out.

My dress was very loose, and I needed significant alterations--but she made it fit flawlessly. It honestly feels like the dress was custom-made just for me. Every interaction with her, both over text and in person, was such a positive experience. I really appreciated how she offered thoughtful suggestions while still making sure my preferences came first. She made the whole process feel easy and collaborative. If you need alterations for your big day, you can trust Foroogh completely--she will exceed your expectations. Thank you so much, Foroogh!

She worked so hard to make it fit right but when she gave me the quote, I had to be honest and say it wasn't worth it to me because I was only wearing it for half an hour. She didn't get mad, but instead she worked with me to figure out what we could do instead to make it within my budget. After showing me her expertise in knowing what to do to still make it look good, I knew I could trust her with my wedding dress. Things I never considered, she knew and could advise. For example, I honestly thought my wedding dress was good enough, but after her comment about the hip area for my red dress, I knew I just had to have her look at the white dress as well. I didn't even wait for her to finish the red dress before I came back with the white one, but she worked fast! She actually finished it early. She even took the time to help me extra secure the clasps for both dresses. Can't express how much I appreciate her!!! In the pictures below, you can see how my red dress went from poor fit/low quality to wowza!

I've brought in plenty of pants for tapering, shortening, taking in the waist, etc. Last winter I brought in pants that were off the rack and a little long with a 32 length. As usual, I tried them on with shoes and Kim helped measured the length to shorten and I picked them up a week later. Super quick process. I didn't try them on at pickup since I had a lot of work done by her previously so I had no reason to doubt her work. Unfortunately I went 3 months without wearing them but when I did, they were still far too long so I had to bring them in again. I explained the situation and when she examined the pants, she told me it was still the factory stitching so there wasn't any work done by her or any other tailor. I was surprised by that, and that she didn't recognize her own work. I assured her I brought them in just a few months prior. When she remeasured the length, she marked to pants to shorten another 1 1/8 in. She said that she always cuts the length requested by customers and so it was my fault and had to pay again for work on the pants. I have all my pants around 29 inseam so this obviously was not accurate and rather annoying she tried to blame me for the incorrect length since she was the one who previously measured. I needed them done so I went ahead. I didn't want to leave a review about this but the following experience was embarrassing and needed to share. I recommended her shop to a friend who needed to shorten the length of 2 curtains but had a horrible experience. At pickup, Kim casually mentioned that 1 of the curtains were already damaged at drop-off and that she decided to do a free patching for the damage. My friend was not notified of any damage prior to pickup, and furious there wasn't any sort of communication. She couldn't even return the "already damaged" curtains because of Kim's unilateral decision to patch the hole. I felt responsible so I sent my friend $600 to cover the cost of curtains. If there was truly damage already, why wouldn't you inform the customer first to decide options?! This used to be my go to tailor but it's now on my blacklist.
