I may be a tad biased but you would get a better deal on the real Vietnamese jewelry. Any-who, the store owner's son, Trung helped me find the right style, size and length of what I envisioned and described to him. I tried on a few 18k and 24k bangles, and chose the yellow gold bangle with intricate designs carved into it. It was dang near close to what I was searching for from thickness of the bangle to its design. On top of it, I tried on a 18 karat (length 16 in.) yellow gold, semi-thick plain necklace. It's shiny just like my bangle. Prices were very reasonable for its weight and karats. The owner even shined my jewelry pieces with some black cream in a "nitrogen oxygen looking contraption." Excuse my lack of vocabulary with jewelry machineries and cleaners, but long story short: my jewelry was taken care of before I walked out. The only thing I wished was there were more design selections to choose from. The store only allows one customer in at a time for safety precautions. Masks were worn. Security gate was opened and closed upon permission of the store owners. Any questions, call this jewelry store. They specialize in jewelry repairs, trading, selling, and purchasing. Quick history, my mother passed when I was nineteen (I'm now over 50). It wasn't sudden but our family, like most, was very special. Within the past few years, my father gave me the wedding ring that he had proposed to her with. It was a special memento for him - and it was now a very special piece for me too. Combining some additional loose stones that I had acquired over the years - just waiting for a new life, I decided to stop in and visit "Kim Chau Jewelers" to explore options for my vision. It's funny - but I have driven by Staci's store for years but never thought about dropping in to simply look around - my (BIG) mistake! Awesome store!! Staci and I met in person a few times to discuss things - then via text and email to complete the whole process. The real value for any individual looking to create or design a piece of jewelry was that Staci took the time to listen to me and understand not just the history of everything but how I wanted to bring life into my design. (Please see pictures.) The base, in white gold, is tulip-shaped to match my girlfriend's favorite flower. The design of the stones is the Yin and Yang encircling an aquamarine stone, bookended with diamonds that trail down the band. My words aren't enough for the ring and the pictures cannot come close to capturing its elegance. In short, if you are in my position with ANY idea - please give Staci a call.
