We decided to give this place a try because it was close to our hotel. Didn't know what to expect because it was a kitchen on one side and açaí bowls on the other. But WOW! For the first time in my picky eater life I did not sub anything in my meal and I had the best sandwich of my life. Got the chicken and sister got the bulgogi. The green spicy sauce was so good we wanted to put it on everything. So we did. We ended up going back 3 times and had bulgogi noodles , bulgogi bowl and golden bao. Everything was 100% every single time. The food was clearly prepared with care and very fresh. The drinks were also super fresh and delicious. So much better than just having plain soda. Mango green tea was a 9/10 Thai tea was too thick 4/10 Crawfish pasta was cold and a little too salty 6/10 Cajun fries, wow 10/10 Fried bao 0/10 (It was just way too sweet) And the garlic noodles 7/10 Service was decent. The cashier didn't smile at all & looked pretty annoyed. Environment was dirty, they should clean the tables and not have the guest clean them ( we cleaned the table before sitting as there was food from the previous guests) & sweep often. Not a bad place if you're in the area or if you need a late night fix. I love that they are open until 2am. Ordered a few things. First thing were the garlic noodles. Had them with the chicken. Not bad at all. I have had better but they hit the spot. I do wish they had a stronger garlic taste but not bad. Next up was the bulgogi sandwich. It's not a bahn mi fyi. It wasn't bad. There were a mix of chewy bits of meat with soft so that was annoying but overall it was good. Also the bread they use is pretty good. Then the surprising star of the show, the wings. The pictures looked so good online so we decided to stop by after an ikea trip. The food was nothing like we expected. The pork sandwich was sort of like a bahn mi but not as good since it was missing jalapeño peppers and the carrot daikon pickles were lacking crunch. The wings were ok but not really Vietnamese style and we should not have ordered the popcorn chicken. They didn't even have the real Hong fuy sriracha sauce but instead gave us some disgusting packets of fake sriracha. I wouldn't say this is Vietnamese good it's more like fusion fast food. Ordered takeout online, and got our usual order at : 2 orders of wings, shrimp garlic noodles, and the chicken banh mi. Extra green sauce on the side. The wings were tiny compared to other locations. Taste was pretty good. 6/10 The Chicken bánh mì was off. The bread didn't taste as fresh, the chicken kinda tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp all day, and the cucumber in it was prob a day away from going bad. 2/10 The noodles in the shrimp garlic noodles were over cooked and under seasoned. The shrimp was the saving factor though and was good as always. 3/10 The green sauce was lacking its usual spice level, a lot chunkier than we remembered, and underwhelming in terms of flavor. We hope it was just an off day for this location since we have been to the ones in Santa Ana and Chino countless times and can't say enough good things about those 2 spots. read more

The garlic noodles were gummy and under cooked, and even the white rice was not cooked well. How can you mess up white rice. Damn ridiculous w the prices you're charging. Chicken wings were small compared to other pictures posted here on yelp. I don't usually need to post reviews on bad food but this takes the cake. You guys need to know this is ridiculous. And save your apologies if you're not gonna do anything to fix the quality. Late night hunger cure for authentic viet comfort food. I was driving late night from LA airport to San Diego as my flight got delayed. Was hungry and was looking on yelp for a restaurant that was open when this name cropped up. I had not much expectations except to find something to eat. The restaurant is in a quite mall opposite Ikea and was quite busy when I reached almost at 12:00 AM. I ordered pork sandwich and viet coffee. They made everything fresh from the scratch. The sandwich was bomb and had a lot of meat filling along with veggies. They also provided homemade special sauce to go with the sandwich which was good. The coffee was good too. Everything was self served from ordering to get your order from the kitchen n cleaning up putting tray away once done so I don't see the reason to tip even though I did. I ordered steak on garlic fries; it's fresh and tasty. They offer many juices or drinks; I'm enjoying a Mango something. The pricing is appropriate; you can tell the raw materials are quality items. Though his voice was a little soft, he had a good attitude to him and super helpful.
